Serenity took a step back as she stared into the face of the man, who had killed her family. She pulled out her sword and stood in a defensive stance. "YOU!" She growled. She wasn't sure, but she was one who would jump in and ask questions later.

"Such bravery." he said. "It persists." he walked towards her slowly, the paper from the books slowly covering his body and armoring him well. "Let us see then, young betrayer, what you are capable of."

A sudden crash from behind came about. as another man entered. The slapped a document against the girl's chest and spoke "Do not fight him, you are not yet ready." With that she was sent outside the door to flee. "I will hold him, begone!" He disappeared back into the face of papyrus. "Well, I don't know who you are, but I can tell you're the unfriendly one." What instinct was it that he sent her away with the particular project that he did was unknown to him, but he knew she couldn't fight him alon. He had been in the business far longer than she had, he could hold his own.

Justyn found himself to eventually be at the ruins. He obviously lacked a sense of spatial intelligence in a sense of being directionally challenged. His instincts were leading him better than his memory at this point, he didn't mean to be at the faction's old headquarters.

A voice came from behind. "Justyn." it said. Justyn whipped around in surprise. He knew his name?! "Justyn, although I can't pronounce the Japanese code-name you have, I know your name. Your name, Justyn, Polish version of Justin, a name to mean 'God is Just.' Hey, don't worry, the H.E.C. will pay for its crimes. Your mother and father, Mieke and Isaak...Their German names, Mieke, like Maria, 'Beloved,' Isaak, like Isaac, 'He Will Laugh.' Well, let me tell you, your father did have quite the laugh, he was one of the nicest guys...Had a sense of humor, and such an attitude that nobody could have a bad mood around him, and your mother...Her name was Mieke, Maria--Beloved--to Be Loved. She was loved by all, especially your father. Two of the nicest people, of course their child would be as such...You're like a crusty, month old marshmallow. You're hard on the outside, but one of the softest ones on the inside. It's hard not to get along with any of you. But of course, you do have that dark place about you. If good always met with good and spawned good--or for that matter, ever spawned pure good, then this world would not be as it is. Fear not that dark person inside you...Nothing is pure good, as I just told you that you weren't, so nothing is pure evil. Maybe he's even just radical and misunderstood. Maybe his evilness comes from the bitterness of always living as that evil other side of you."

Justyn was completely taken by the speech. Not even in his thoughts had he a reply. How could this kid know any of that?! And all of it at that! The boy gently stroked Justyn on his back, which he was almost indifferent towards. Yet, it calmed him. His legs rested as to relieve the pressure on his paws, and relax his mid-section against the ground. He felt heavy. The calming thoughts about his parents put him in a state of mind that gave him control of his instincts and emotions. He was calm and controlled. He reminisced what little he remembered about his parents, his past, and everything. He found with all this new knowledge, that he could remember more yet. He would have cried if his cat eyes could have produced the tears to do it. He gave a sigh, and the boy continued stroking him, on the right side and belly. He purred in a complete relaxed state.

The assassin turned towards his new foe, his wings froming into spears. He smiled. "A challenge!" he said, grinning. "I like a challenge. All my foes so far have been so very weak..."

Serenity growled as she was pushed out side. She held on to the paper tightly as she sheathed her sword and turned running back towards Tori's. She ran out of the ruins and through the outskirts. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she didn't pay attention at all to her surrounding, she couldn't believe she was running scared. She should be fighting the man who killed her family, not running away. She sighed as she continued to run.

"Challenge? Ha! This will be like beating up a small dog. I almost feel to sorry to do it." He grabbed a sword near by: A katana was one of his greatest skills. "Have at you, fiend!"

The dozens of paper cabinets opened, papers flying out as if blasted by wind. They replaced the wings on his back, and he flew high, almost out of sight.

Then the spears began to rain down.

A rift in time was created to counter the spears. He was merely playing with the assassin at this point. The spears slowed their descent toward him, or as it was from the perspective of the looker, his arms sped up. Quickly he sliced at the paper. Half of the tactic was to just knock some out, the other half was destroying the rest. Through sheer speed the sword ripped through, and the rest were damaged by friction. Shreds of paper were everywhere. He knew it was coming: He'd think himself so clever, and have all the little 'shards' attack as a whole, but this skilled fighter had an ace up his sleeve, too.

Of course, Papyrus knew when he was outmatched. He was already flying away, swearing his bad luck.

"He can't really be with the HEC, can he? That was pathetic..." He was on gaurd saying this, but slowly relinquished his stance. "I thought I knew what was coming...but...I see he's definitely not skilled enough. Ha, I didn't even get to beat that coward up like a small dog yet! Where's the fun in that!" Jay didn't know that stranger was an assassin. It would've been a laugh to find out he was.

"Jeez, at least that doctor had enough guts to make something that could've killed me. If I hadn't used that decoy, it would've eaten me, and hiding from the blast when it was killed was a bit troublesome. Kinda fun in a way, too."

The kid sighed. "My poor cousin...I never heard from him again after the H.E.C. got hold of him. He seemed to have disappeared from the face of this planet. He's been looking for me since I was kidnapped. I don't know who it was who rescued me from that hell, but he was a good man, and I could tell he worked with the faction. The faction's been sticking their noses in all kinds of other people's business, not just H.E.C. They seem to want to make all the evils in this world right, so I know I can trust them. It's just I don't have the power to do anything. At best I can only make donations." The kid ran off.

Justyn realized the kid was gone after he stopped rubbing Justyn's belly. He was really beginning to enjoy it. Soon the purring had halted. Justyn felt alone. He sought others' affection, which he knew meant that at least he was normal again. He went looking for the kid in particular.

Then again, that didn't stop Papy from leaving behind some traps. stacks of paper sat along the walls, as if propped by an invisible shelf.
Suddenly, they telescoped out, launching from all sides of the room, slicing moniters and file cabinets open like they were butter. /this was spcial paper, more durable than even posterboard, more flexible than tissue. It was something he'd cooked uop himself and was the very outer limit of his power of control, yet as deadly as any blade.

He called it Steel Paper. It looked perfectly normal, yet had the killing power of a sword. It was his preferred killing method, aside from Gae Bolgia, his paper spear attack.
Of course, all that chemical made it highly flammable...

Dash, a lone adventurer, stood on the outskirts of the ruins, gazing at the destruction. In his left hand, he held a long sword, and in his right hand, he held nothing. He started to imagine what the faction looked like before and all the people that used to be there. He sighed and sat down, tired of all the traveling he had done that day. He needed to rest.

Oh great, another kid... Justyn returned himself back to the faction's ruins. There he came upon a stranger sitting down near it. He was sitting the same place and pose as the last one, and Justyn just stood not too far directly behind where he was before, tempted to stand right next to this guy. Was he afraid of panthers?
