Lady Blodwynn Lt. Brookman Ahem, yes, so in other news I have the chance to get my hands on a NIB copy of the Rogue Trader collectors edition, tanking in at around 200 quid, or €230,-- // $310,-- (USD) Not sure if I'm getting ripped off or have a bargain on my hands here. I wouldn't do it if I were you. It would've been a more tempting offer if you still had the chance to write your own name there. Yeah, the more I think about it the more I'm seeing that while it would be nice to have, it's quite a waste of money I don't really have at the moment.

>beat dinosaur to death with bare hands.
... Our Blood Angel's librarian Lanced it while my Salamanders Assault actually jumped down onto it from the ledge above with a spear. I forget what I did. Think I hurled a big rock at it.

Lady Blodwynn If looking for a "super-awesome-fantasy-super-hero-rpg game" go with Deathwatch, I wholly recommend that one. It's still quite a challenge, but it allows you to beat a dinosaur to death with your bare hands to prove your worth to a tribe of feral humans. wink Who says I can't do that in DH? ...our techpriest did it...

Lady Blodwynn RPG's are quite lenient about what you can and can't do. Nothing wrong with a feral priest really. The S-A-F-S-H-rpg is based on Savage World + Fantasy + Super Hero supplements, overall world is a fantasy/medievil-ish with our characters having super powers from the gods, leading humans to war againts elf´s.
It was awesome and our game went on hiatus when we got a new player to play a rpg, so we started playing Deathlands supplement. smile
We even have a walking f****** cathetral, controlled by a saintly monks spirit. :O
Two of our players managed to even deck a dragon with a churchbell at the beginning. xD

I think mostly I´ve been an underplayer in our games, can´t really recall doing anything epic, other then taking a controll of a tech-eresy cherubins with my techpriests Forbidden Lore and Binary chat. >.>"
And convince and lead humans to fight with the S-A-F-S-H-rpg. I have charisma and I´m Paladin. ^.^
But I do roleplay my characters well, atleast that´s what my friends tell me. smile
Black Crusade however.... I dunno if I´m going to play that. sad Can´t think of a character for that game, I like good-guy characters too much.

We play pirates! I think the best part about Black Crusade is that, you could make a group of Chaos Worshippers who are Chaos because they want Humanity to be free from the Imperium. You can do all kinds of different stories!
Plus I like the rules better. Heck, with a little work you could convert the deities over to four different things, like Organizations, such as AdMech, Administratum, ect and play Imperials.

Rogue Trader RP? I'm in. I don't mind doing the other two either, though I've heard that Deathwatch sucked because Space Marines are OP. =/
I would rather Dark Heresy, though. I like fighting demons more than anything. Not as much into Xeno-killing as I am into Chaos-killing.

I should point out that the character sheets posted a few pages ago are not for on-line RP use, but actual "around the table with a few drinks" RP'ing. Though our sessions are rare, even more so with the four of us now residing all over the globe, I do hope we can post our experiences here. Quote: I don't mind doing the other two either, though I've heard that Deathwatch sucked because Space Marines are OP. =/ While it might seem that the characters of DW are overpowered, it should be pointed out that the enemy threats have been scaled up as well to deal with the increased abilities of the PC's. DW has a lovely mechanic called "Hordes" where unlike with Rogue Trader or Dark Heresy, where you fight small groups of foes, the hordes of DW are just that: large mobs of foes that will present quite a challenge to the PC's. DW is at its heart the combat-oriented RPG of the bunch, with Dark Heresy being investigation and Rogue Trader being exploration and making money. Quote: I would rather Dark Heresy, though. I like fighting demons more than anything. Not as much into Xeno-killing as I am into Chaos-killing. Dark Heresy can be about that, but at its heart it is a mystery game where you do NOT want to meet daemons early on in the game, you are just that frail and weak. It took my group a lot of sessions before we could properly tackle a daemon, as our previous encounters left us with a few dead and two more too mauled by the experience to continue the fight. At the end of our run I decided to retire my arbiter character to an asylum, she had seen too much and the survivor guilt was eating away at her.

Tsk. What? You're announcing RP going on IRL through an online guild? What's the point, then? Not all of us live 10 miles from each other, you know!

I'm just going to laugh now and even forget about saying "I told you so" because this place is at it again in full force. Heh.
I'm still going to put up campaign progress and background as we proceed, to serve as a showcase and indeed, inspiration to others.
Maybe we can have smaller sessions over Skype to keep everything fresh and up to date?
