Thanks guys. It's an older commission of yuzi's. I already know the person who showed it to me as a sample stole it though; she edited out the signature, you can see the blotch. *shakes her head* ******** scammers. *goes to whack*

I already know the person who showed it to me as a sample stole it though; she edited out the signature, you can see the blotch. *shakes her head* ******** scammers. *goes to whack* *can't find the edited blotch* Looks like Reevely's style to me....and the red sig is her signature....

Noraboo My apologies for using you guys for modding things, but does anyone recognize this picture and know who the artist is? I know it's yuzi's commission, but she isn't around. AoD is in the name of it, which is familiar, and yet I'm blanking, and I feel dumb. That is 100% Reveely's pic. I have a commish from her and her sig is identical. Take a look at my commish from her, and the signature-

Thanks guys! I've already nuked the person who stole it and tried to pass it off to me as their own, but it's really good to have 100% confirmation that someone you know did it.
Seriously, I can't tell if people are stupid or if they are trying to be clever and 'put one over on the mod' to do something /that/ dumb. *facepalms*

Scammers piss me off to no end. I have been scammed twice in the R & C thread, but now I am really cautious of who I get art from. Also I take it upon myself that if I find someone who has been stealing art, I notify the Gaian authorities.

I've never been scammed, luckily enough, but then I haven't done as much business as most of you people in the R&C forum to have had the opportunity to be scammed.

I've lost a hella lot of gold on people I've never heard from again, as most of us have. Now I just don't confirm trades until I get at least a sketch. I hate having to be suspicious of people.

only once did i ever get scammed bad. but i just lost a eyepatch from it, no biggie. i think i even fought with klody in that thread defending that deadbeat who took our money and ran. ah well i guess i was too trusting, you were right klody, sorry!

I hate having to be suspicious of people. yeah, I do the same. I'll only pre-pay people very very rarely, and only when I know they've done work for other people. Otherwise, I really just inisit on starting the trade and confirming it when the art is done. I know it sucks for an artist to feel that at any time someone can just cancel the trade and not pay them. I think I mostly bank on the hope that they'll know I'm not going to scam them because I'm a mod, but that doesn't help people who don't have that. :/ Unfortunately, it's easier for them to report someone who doesn't pay for a commission that than for someone who has paid an artist to get the art or their money back, just because of logistics. Although if you do pre-pay and they don't either give you art or refund your money, you can absolutely report them. refunds are the best way, but nothing sucks more than paying for art and not getting it, especially if you really wanted it, even if you do get your money back.
