Jarred sat immediately to the right of Haldis, not sparing her a glance as he slipped the barkeep some cash ordering a shot of whiskey.
"So what's a kid doing alone on this ship? People here with questionable tastes, and a child might not be the safest."

Sahaqiel Forde smiled back at the little girl, and then looked at the bartender. "No money friend. But that's why I'm here." He leaned forward onto the counter and cocked his head to one side. "Need a cook?" "A cook eh?" The bartender nodded after a moment. "Our last cook got a fork lodged into his eye. But have to see what you can do before I hire."

Myke walked in along wih Jarred but stood back a ways, towards a table a few feet away from Jarred and stood as more of a look out so he could have the entire bar with in good range...the bar that Pendari is not in...and keep an eye out for any trouble for Jarred or what looked to be Jarreds new little friend.

People here with questionable tastes, and a child might not be the safest." Haldis turned in her stool and then stopped it. She looked at Jarred. "Those who would do me harm are held at bay by others in the bar. If I were to leave, then I'd have a problem." She smiled. "And I'm not alone. Look at all the people, silly."

"Hm. So who's are you? The kid of someone high up? One of the folks that started all this?" Jarred motioned briefly with his glass to the criminals therein before shooting his drink down.

Haldis waved at Myke a wide grin on her face. "I know you! You beat people up."
Her grin slightly faded as she turned back to Jarred. "I'm mine. Who's are you?"

"I'm noones." Jarred grinned slightly. "Let me start over. Hi, name's Jarred." Jarred set his glass down, offering a hand to Haldis.

Haldis looked at his hand, then his abandoned glass. She chose the glass, picked it up and tasted the whiskey before putting it back down again. "I know that already. But I can give you my name for free, I'm Haldis."

Jarred paused before pulling his hand back.
"Didn't think kids were supposed to drink alcohol. Then again, I haven't been a kid for a while. So what brings you here, Haldis?"

"Figured. So what all do you know about the cards?" Jarred got himself another whiskey. "Not to sound threatening, but anything you might know is crucial to that not-dying bit."
