Nejisprincess I am so nervous about next year when we'll actually have chairs in orchestra. The stupid middle school doesn't prepare you for the high school's music ciriculum. gonk In my high school we don't have chairs in Orchestra. We have First violins, and Second Violins. The seconds are the people who just started out, and have no idea what they're doing. I think it would be better if we had chairs in my school, so we could try to get better, but my teacher probably wouldn't go for that idea.

I play the auto harp in a blue-grass band... but my teacher divorced his wife and moved away so I'm stuck teaching myself how to take care of it and what chords I can substitute... It's certainly been interesting. I was wonding if anybody else around plays one too? Maybe I could leach off your knowledge. (I've been playing mine for about 4 years now... I had a different one for about two years before that but this one is so much better, and I can play it upright too ^.^)

i play the violin,
and this is my sixth year playing,
and i really really love it,
im first chair in both of my school orchestras and youth orchestra,
im in a string quartet,
and ive played in all county twice.
hopefully all-state next year ^_^
i love violin with a passion

Zee14 Anyone here play the violin or any other string instrument? If you do, this is the place to be! yeah i have been playing for 5 and 1/2 years and i like it I am in the chamber orchestra at my school and i am in the concert too right now. i'm a section leader ^_^

I play the Violin and the Piano. I've been playing the violin for 12 years and the piano for eleven, and i don't plan on quitting.

I used to play violin...for six years I believe, but my mom teaches music, mainly violin...so I wanted a different instrument...I have now been play cello for about three or four years...I'm first chair...but at my school that doesn't mean much...but I love my teacher, and he is really good...his father was Derek Simpson...for those who don't know who that is, he was the cellist who played with the Beatles

I play the violin but my name is Viola so my teacher basically loves to point that out to every teacher that he passes, I'm not sure what chair cause we move around alot
