Tamao took another sip of her tea, setting the cup down with a very soft clink, virtually inaudible amongst all of the clocks and their continual ticking and chiming. She had to admit, the sounds were starting to grow on her. She seemed to recall hearing something about putting a small clock next to just-born kittens and puppies, as the constant ticking reminded them of the sound of their mother's heartbeat while they were in the womb. Perhaps that was a part of why a clock's ticking always seemed so familiar? It made an odd sort of sense. She'd have to

There very well might not even be a right answer, it could be a pure opinion question, something where the answer changed for each person. She set the teacup, long since emptied, down on the counter, and asked the old man to give her compliments to his grandson. The old man looked puzzled until he saw a matching teacup at his elbow, and chuckled a little. He remarked on how he seemed to be off in his own little world while he was

working on clocks. He took a sip from his cup, and while it must have been at least a little cold, he still said it was delicious. Just then, a flurry of chimes began to sound, as the day had reached it's next hour. Tamao glanced at the closest clock, and saw she'd been sitting here for over four hours already! She hurriedly said she should really get going, and told the old man that she'd be back as soon as she could. The man laughed and urged her to take her time. When using tools like these, for intricate tasks like this, haste was the worst possible thing to be feeling.

He told her to take her time, be sure of each action she took. Tamao promised to do so, and left the small shop. She walked down the street, carrying the small tool box, and looking around. The shop had been nice and peaceful; because of it she'd almost forgotten about the person who'd been chasing her down earlier. The thought of them was still in her head, but way in the back. She felt at peace, sure that they wouldn't appear for a while longer yet. So she took her time returning to the Inn, stopping at a small sidewalk food vendor to buy a little snack. Holding the

There didn't seem to be any war or battles, the people were polite, if maybe a little secretive and guarded, but overall they were nice. She could see herself staying here for quite a long time, and never tiring of the simple, every day pleasures the village offered. She knew, realistically, that she couldn't do that, but even so, it was a nice thought. It was such a nice thought, that it occupied her thoughts all the way until she

reached the door to her room. She realized her door was locked, and both of her hands were full, and fumbled confusedly for a moment until she came up with an idea. Holding the bag of treats to her mouth, she clamped down on the paper, holding it with her teeth as she used her now free hand to grab her key. She unlocked her door, stowed the key back in it's place, and opened the door. Stepping inside, she closed the door behind her and caught the bag of treats before it could fall from where she'd been biting it, her saliva making the thin paper especially fragile.

She moved to her desk, and set down the tool box and the treats. Sitting down, she opened the tool box and looked over the tools she'd borrowed, paying close attention to each to make sure she knew how to use them. Sure, some were obvious, like screwdrivers and clamps. Others were a little harder to figure out, so she made a mental note to try not to use them until she figured their use out. She wouldn't want to misuse one of the loaned tools, and risk breaking it. She'd be careful with her own things, of course, but she wanted to be even more so for

these tools. They weren't hers to treat as she saw fit, and if she were to break them, aside from feeling really bad, she'd also have to try and replace them. They were written decently enough, she could understand them if she concentrated, but it certainly wouldn't be easy. Tamao blinked, running through the next step of the instructions in her head as she looked at the small array of pieces before her. It hadn't been as bad as she'd feared. Sure, there were some rather small pieces, but the majority of the assembly was stuff she could use her bare fingers to do. The tools were just for two particularly small details. They were near the end of the instructions, which she'd read through three times already to make sure she was familiar with them. To a ninja, even one taking it easy like her, memorizing information quickly was supposed

to be second nature. A better ninja might have been able to do it in only a single glance. She wasn't willing to take such chances, though, so she read through the entire thing several times. Only then did she finally catch on to what the device was even supposed to do. Quite an odd little thing, she wondered who in the world had thought of such a thing. It was almost fully assembled, and resembled a miniscule human, or perhaps humanoid, figurine. If it was a living thing, she'd guess it only a child, judging by the basic proportions and eye placement, but that didn't mean

anything. She was ready to do the first of the intricate operations now, so she used the tweezers to pick up the small receptor tab, and line it up carefully with the side of the figurine's head. She didn't know what it was, but it seemed important. She held her breath as she nudged the tab a little further into it's proper place, and gasped aloud when it nearly fell out from the tweezer's grip. But it held, she sighed with relief, and renewed her efforts. Finally, the tab slipped into place, and Tamao slumped back against her chair. One down, only one more to go! She took

a moment to recover, then straightened up, proceeding to the next few more ordinary steps of the assembly. It went at a decent pace, she made sure not to rush herself to avoid mistakes. And then, finally, she came to the last step. She read it through several more times to make sure she understood it, then went to work. accessory devices, and used the tweezers to pick up the small piece that would be inserted into it. There were quite a few of these pieces, so even if she lost one, it'd surely be alright. So she made sure to press on the tweezers only hard enough to hold onto the tiny plug, and slipped it into the notch. Using her forefinger, she edged it into place with a tiny click. She smiled, that hadn't been too hard. Now, only another fifteen to go... She kept at it, and finally had all of the

metallic devices taken care of. Now, she could proceed to the true last step. Yes, the assembly was technically done, but now there was a fairly loose customization stage, where she could choose from an array of different choices to personalize her device. There were different clothes, shoes, accessories, and those metallic devices, which looked suspiciously like something she'd heard mention of before. Firearms, or guns. There were also various edged weapons, too. She was beginning to get a little suspicious about this tiny little figurine, and what purpose it was for.

Tamao walked down the street, retracing her steps from earlier, to return to the clock shop so she could give the tools back to the old man who'd lent them to her. The sun was already setting, it'd be getting dark soon, she'd have to get there soon or it'd be dark before she returned to the Inn, an idea she didn't particularly care for. So she quickened her pace a little, and soon found herself at the small clock shop. It still looked open, at least as far as she could tell, so she placed her hand on the knob and entered. She just hoped she wouldn't be here as long as she had earlier. She still had to go get something to eat, and she was looking forward to getting to bed early tonight, after everything

nodded, he carefully picked it up, with her permission. Putting a jeweler's magnifying scope to his eye, he looked it over, murmuring a little under his breath. Apparantly, he liked what he was looking at, for he nodded a few times before handing it back. He nodded one last time and handed Hoihoi-san back to Tamao, as he slipped the jeweler's scope back into a pocket. He seemed to have recognized the little figurine, so Tamao took the opportunity to ask him if there was anything she needed to do to take care of it. He gave her a brief explanation of what it did,

and what she needed to do for it. Overall, it was very low maintenance, the only things she really had to do were to buy more of those small plugs, as each became empty. They were actually available at many stores all around the place, even right here in this old clock shop. Tamao was surprised by that, she had thought this was some secretive new device that nobody knew about. The only other thing to keep in mind, was that if it ever stopped working, or if it got wet, she should bring it with her to any store that sold those plugs, and they'd be able

to repair it for a small fee. Tamao nodded as she commited all the old man's words to memory, then realized it was getting late. As if to exemplify her point, her stomach chose that moment to growl loudly. The old man laughed a little, and let her go, asking her to stop by if she had any more questions. Tamao nodded, carefully putting the Hoihoi-san back in her pocket, as she waved goodbye to the old man, before making her way out of the comforting noise of the clock shop. Loki overflew this village and watched as the people on the boat disembarked. The first thing that he noticed was that an old friend of his had gotten off the boat. "Well Well..." He thought to himself as he followed high above. After what seemed to be hours and the poor fool actually stumbling into a bunch of hippies he saw him stand on a patio. He looked down and instantly began a rather dangerouse dive bomb. As he fell the shadow that would have appeared as nothing more then a dot on the ground to David would soon begin to grow and expand untill it would alert him by blocking the sun from view and casting a shadow on him. As he had the bird backwing and land he purposly landed sothat the sun was behind him andeven with the mighty Sharingan there would be no way for him to tell who it was on the bird. However assumptions would be made and almost without a doubt he woulkd believe it to be Deidara because the ring was not turned towards poor David. "Hello hello what do we have here..... Did the hippies not treat you right or something David Uchiha.... or are you tired?" He was purposley trying to egg David on he knew it to be rather easy because of his temper.
