Of course the news about Riordan was a new one to him, but Triton didn't ask. If it was bad enough that a normal person like Riordan would no longer be considered part of the family (he kind of gleened this from the fact Elrohir added his children did not count), then something touchy happened.
"Well, after Elnara," Triton murmured, "Mom adopted Kali, Lin and Yukiko," he sighed at the last name, "Why did it had to be so close to Yuki's name?" a bit side tracked he then added, "And Elnara has seven children, so that really just added to the number of grandchildren by a great deal. Yue and Yukito already had adopted a child each when they first visited. Yue though since then had twins. I had found Krysis.. and Irsis... followed me home."

"Well if she's overly enegertic, just make her go through her excerises," Donovan muttered, "That girl has a lot of energy, never lost it when she became a teen."
He paused thinking about it, perhaps the ranch house would be the best palce to start, "The house first, that way Cindy knows where things might go."

"That sounds like a good idea, this is where I'm going to be most of the time," Cindy replied.
Having been entrusted with something other than the usual potion making made her feel good.

Haradhel nodded and smiled at Cindy, then tugged a bit on Elrohir's arm to get his attention again. "Tour of the house," she murmured. "Coming along?"
Elrohir nodded and smiled. "Of course," he agreed. Then he turned back to the others. "Top to bottom or bottom to top?" he asked. "It's not like there's a lot to see, it's quite simple, really, despite its size."
"Blame Ulrich for that one," Haradhel smiled, nodding at him.

Ulrich mock bowed, then laughed. "Aye, blame me for that," he agreed. "Just as I blame you for the way Elrohir is now. I hold you personally responsible for it!"
He pointed at her and frowned as if he were reprimanding her, but a moment later he laughed again and lowered his hand.

Donovan chuckled at that, it was good to know the three were getting along so well.
"Fair enough," he murmured, "Bottom up then."

Ulrich grinned. "I'm going to go check on things," he told them. "I'll see you all later." And with that, he waved and headed towards the double doors that led to the white patio outside.

"Later," Elrohir waved back as Ulrich disappeared.
"We may as well start over here, then," Haradhel suggested, leading them all towards the dining room. "It's got seating for nearly a hundred, I think Ulrich said. Room enough for us, any children that might end up here, and the workers in the winter. At the moment they prefer to eat outside, but of course that won't be possible once winter comes."
"They also do most of their own cooking at the moment," Elrohir added, "though we have had some of the women offer to help Haradhel with the meals once more people start relying on her for them."
"And once I can't do so much anymore," Haradhel added softly, placing one hand unconsciously on her stomach.
Elrohir grinned proudly.

He noticed the gesture, and then understood what Ulrich had been referring to. Even he had to admit that was a short while before pregency, but it was always possible.
"Congrants," he murmured as he followed.
Survevying the dining room, it reminded him slighlty of a the school caferteria. Still, nearly a hundred should be more than enough, unless there was a sudden influx of children, or the number of workers shot up. tHough he supposed in the latter, by then people would want to have families and homes here instead, so that shouldn't become an issue.

Haradhel smiled warmly at Donovan. "Thank you," she murmured; then, clearing her throat, she led them through the dining room and into the kitchen.
It was smaller than the dining room, by far, but it was still fairly sizable, and easily had room for up to six or seven people to work together comfortably.
"Fully stocked," she said, nodding to the cupboards, "and there's a large cellar underground where the food is stored."
She pointed at a trapdoor in the floor.
"It's like a maze down there sometimes," she added, "it's almost as big down there as it is up here."
"Well, at least we don't have to worry about running out of food," Elrohir pointed out, "as long as we don't have a year without any crops."
Haradhel raised one eyebrow at Elrohir. "I really don't think we have to worry about that," she said pointedly.

Knock on wood was Donovan's thought, but as long as the crop yield was good to decent and nothing drastic happened it should be fine. The kitchen reminded him somewhat of the inn's kitchen, where more than one person could work in it comfortably.
"Well in extreme circumstances," Donovan murmured, "It's always good to know the limit. Kitchen kind of reminds me of the inn."

"I think that's kind of the point," Elrohir chuckled. "After all, that's sort of what this is going to be - except that we'll be taking in children, not travelers, and they won't be paying for their stay, and they'll be having an escorted ride back to where they came from."
"I made some changes to some of the other areas, though," Haradhel added, beckoning for them to follow her back out of the kitchen and dining room. "There were some areas that were too empty or ... whatever, so I tried to make it more hospitable for children."

Donovan nodded recalling a bit of how Daeron was like, though Triton would know more about it than he. He was sure some of what Kara packed carried some observations of that moment as well.
"Oh?" he inquired slightly, "I'm not sure what was in the ranch house before. I had only made a list of what the ranch needed, but hadn't though about what was going to be inside it."

"Well, when we first arrived," Elrohir explained, "it was pretty much empty. I mean, there was furniture, but that was basically it. It was very ... uninviting. Even I have to admit, it was daunting."
"But the next shipment came within a few days, and it had a lot of the things we needed," Haradhel added, "so it wasn't too long before we could change a lot of things. Ulrich made the furniture that I asked him to, though we're still waiting on some of it, but still. It's a lot better now than it was."

Donovan nodded as he took a good look, he was also pretty sure once there were more people that it wouldn't seem so... empty.
"It is shaping up to be a second home," Donovan nodded.
