'Variations and Fugue' - a piece the Chicago Symphony would undoubtedly stumble over. I just.. can't begin to describe its evilness. X( It pretty much sounds like one of those contemporary "warm-up" pieces... you know, that sound like the band's warming up but - oh, wait... that's the song they're playing! o.O; It's also a good 5 pages. It grows on you, though. But... it still deserves to be burned.
Another one is 'Slavic Farewell'. It isn't really hard and it's mostly played in the higher portions of the staff and it's in cut time... but we just did a Slavic piece LAST year and so I'm sick of 'em. And its really boring compared to our other pieces, such as October (so gorgeous... it moves me to tears in some places when we play it well.. ='D I have a recording of it if anyone wants to hear.)
--
But on a side note - can I get the name of the composer of "Into the Storm"? I played it a few years back and forgot how awesome it was and I reaaally want to add it to this CD I'm making of songs I've played. :3

I have a couple of pieces to add to this happy list:
1) Pomp and Circumstance. NEVER AGAIN (I'm a senior!) whee
2) The second movement of this year's drumline show. It's at 1/4-note=164, and I have 1/16-notes. For 30 measures. (I play marimba during drumline)
3) Trittico. Too ****ing high in the second movement. We have <15 measures in the movement, and every single bloody note is above the above-the-staff G.
4) In Orbit (Jazz Band). See comments for #3, but not QUITE so bad.
