TheNutcrackerPrince Whatever laughter had been brimming behind his lips evaporated. He too had a rather nasty feeling. Still, the doorway to the night's last battle was in sight now. Temptation and self-preservation asphixiating each other into nonimportance. Now all that was left was the dread.
[I'm PMing Erebus one more time and if he doesn't reply, I think one of us should play his part. Does this sound fair?] ((OOC: Sounds fair to me.))

Erebus leaned closely to Lady Nyx's ear..."I believe we have a vistor, milady...shall we go to the door and see who it is?"
She had smelled him a few moments before Erebus said anything but she dared not let on. She nodded now and sat up, "You go, love, I'm sure the condition he's in will only require one..."
"Oh no, YOU shall do the honors. Get up." He roughly yanked her off the bed and shoved her toward the door. As they reached the door, he pulled it open and shoved her out in the hallway to protect him. Following behind he pulled his sword to fight.
Lady Nyx did not know what to expect as she was shoved into the darkened hallway. She stopped a moment for her eyes to adjust and saw him there...'Derryk' she whispered in her head hoping he'd hear...

Derryk's ears perked up. His eyes finally found that sweet sight that was responsible for this entire night's events. To respond would be the epitome of foolishness--he expressed this by tapping John on the shoulder and putting a finger to his lips, gesticulating the need for silence. He slowly approached Nyx until his face slightly emerged itself from the hall's shadows.

((OOC: Well, yah. With the help of Erebus, Nyx brought forth many kids. Two of which are Hypnos=Sleep and Thanatos=Death, yesh?))
John nodded, taking the signal to be silent. He waited, submerging himself within silence and darkness. Even his eyes, the orbs that reflected light with the lack of it, were dulled to reduce his sight as much as possible. His breath rate decreased, and his movements dwindled down to nothing.

Nyx attacked Derryk...aiming for his neck. She knew if she did not, Erebus would kill her. As she sunk her teeth in she murmured kill him please and hoped that Derryk or John would knock her off and go on to defeat Erebus.

In his shoulder he felt the p***k of her teeth. He tore away, grabbing her by the shoulders and staring at her with apalled shock. He didn't know if she had punctured his flesh, his shirt, his jacket--he just knew that he was disgusted. Then again, what would he have done?
"What the hell are you--" he couldn't even speak. He just looked over her shoulder to see if Erebus had come to investigate.

From the darkness Erebus chuckled, "Didn't expect your lover to attack, hmm?" He stepped forward a bit, showing himself. "She is my wife after all. She belongs to me and does what I tell her to do." He waited a second but then charged at Derryk ready for a fight. He shoved Nyx out of the way and attacked.

John's fangs darted towards the dark lord in vengeance from the darkness. They sank within the putrid skin with a malevolent snarl. Then he withdrew, heaving, gasping for breath. "You ******** touch him again, and I swear, I will rip out your organs and feed them to you myself!" Lupine features were settling in with the aid of the moonlight showing from the windows.
