MYSTERIO9008 Miyoko Clarinetti MYSTERIO9008 So Cal represent! Scripps Ranch High School Rising Star Band and Pageantry, San Diego CA! Hey, just curious, did anyone in the So Cal area (specifically San Diego County) go to the Scripps tournament? I kinda want to know how other people thought it was run... isn't there a college called scripps too in claremont? o.O; I think so...do they have a band? hahaha they have a music program...its a fine arts college right? sweatdrop o_o I MUST KNOW WHAT THIS SCRIPPS TOURNAMENT IS! can middle schoolers join!?

Hey, everyone. I'm looking for a more-or-less independent concert band that I could join. I'm not in high school anymore, so, um, yeah. I need a place to play my trumpet that's not solely home practice (because that fails.) Anybldy got some tips? I'm not OMGWTF good, so, ya know, something like a community band or somesuch. Oh, right, and I live in Aurora, Colorado. Hee. Almost forgot to mention that.

I'm from the CHS marching band/symphonic band.(WA)
We go to lots of parades, like the Myer and Frank parade in Vancouver, and the parade in Longbeach, and to Husky Band Day at the UW.

Next year is travel year for us! Going to Disneyland, I think, like we did a couple years ago. T'was fun. We marched in the...uh...light parade, I think it was. T'was so much fun, and we got invited back next fall, though we couldn't go... sad

Ummm...the tournament wemt well. I can't think of anything that didn't work. Good job!

I live in Colorado and attend DCHS. We were in the Parade of Lights, which was televised in Denver.

Oh, we hold a marching band tournament at Scripps Ranch High every year where a lot of the San Diego area high school bands perform their field shows and are judged on their performance. And since whenever I hear of a middle school marching band, they always seem to be doing parade and not field at the tournaments they go to, I would assume that middle schools do not come to our tournament, just high schools...

You nearly gave me a heart attack when I saw CHS. I don't notice the (WA) at first. My band is the CHS marching/symphonic band from CA.

Oh my. All these threads are dead.
I play violin, cello, trumpet, piano, and electric guitar.
We tour in April of 2007 on a Cruise on the Mexican Riviera.
From San Mateo, California.
(If you've never heard of us, check the Guiness Book of World Records. We supposedly beat the world record for the most canned food dontated in a canned food drive. And supposedly well-known for the most sprited school in the world.) stare
