I got an orinigal copy, two weeks before it went out of print, about 6 years ago. I never knew how lucky I was. Now, even though it's bent and the cover is torn and the spine is creased for 6 years of use... I love it so much. Re-prints make me sad, somewhat. But good for all the Phans who weren't as lucky as I was.

*Cries*I wants it. But knowing my mother...lord..she would totally have a fit if I asked for it. Thank God my birthday is in Feb...by then the prices will be a lot higher, I'm sure but if I miss out on getting the book it will be worse then spending all my bday money on it.

YES!! Technically I already read it but I love it to death! And considering I doubt my friend wants me keeping her book hostage for long periods of time cause she a major phan herself i'll buy it for myself xd

blaugh YAY! People will now know of the Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Luerux... think I spelled his name wrong... I have a book, but with one minor differance. IT IS IN MODERN ENGLISH! Meaning that I can understand it alot better. The one I kept renewing at the libray was in old english and made it a little hard to understand what in the world they were saying sometimes.

gonk How did you people find it? I was in the U.S. two weeks ago, and on Dec 16th I went to Books-A-Million in Houston, looked for the book everywhere and didn't find it. Then I asked the cashier, and here is our talk.
Me: Do you have Susan Kay's Phantom?
Him: Sorry, it went out of print like, six years ago.
Me: Are you sure? I heard they were reprinting...
Him: Really? If they are, we got no copies.
Me: Do you know if I can find it in other bookstores?
Him: I'll check for you... *begins checking on a computer while talking to me* I remember reading it many years ago, it was nice to fill some stuff... They stopped printing it because AWL began working on it again. (probably for the movie, Takiko imagined)
Me: Really?
Him: Weird thing to do... Hm, no, they are not repritting. *moves away from the computer* Maybe you can order it through Amazon.com, but since there are so many Phantom fans in the world, I don't think that you'll want to pay 40 bucks for a paperback.
Me: Okay, thanks. I think I'll just wait since they may reprint it someday.
And that was it... Well, why I posted the whole chat, you ask? Because I found it funny that he was a PotO fan (maybe even a phan). xp

Amazon.com has it but it wasn't in stock last time I checked. Some seller's had a few copies but for over $30 each. Jeezus!
