Hi All! I've been watching Doctor Who since I knew what the flashy images on the TV were, so around 2 years old. I started watching with Tom Baker and he is my favorite. I recently finished rewatching the entire series from the beginning to present with the audio of the lost episodes filling in the gaps. My favorite companion was Leela. I have a large collection of Doctor Who novels and reference books. If you'd like to chat directly feel free to PM me. heart

G'day everyone,

I've been a DW fan since I was about 3 years old! So I guess that makes me very old school. lol

I love the new series and think Tennant is doing a great job. My fav Doctor is Tom Baker's - he was in charge when I first started watching.

I can't wait for season 4, even if I do have to wait a few more months until it reaches my shores.

HI I've always been a Doctor Who fan. I got it from my Dad and I can't remember when I first watched it, nor can I remember a time without it. It has always been in my life and I was really excited when the NewWho series' were announced (New series Saturday woot can't wait!!), so yeah here I am in this guild, seeing as the other Guild is now like a Star Trek guild. I've never watched a Star Trek episode, nor do I plan to, so why the hell would I want to talk about them in a Guild dedicated to Doctor Who?! It's really crap. Anyways back to me. I also watch Torchwood and cant wait till tonight when the ultimate episode will be on!!

FYI it has been changed back

Well I've been a Doctor Who fan for all of my life. The first Doctor that I remembered watching was Tom Baker, like many others, but like every other Doctor Who fan when I found out about the new series I was very excited. So I joined here for the same reason but I plan on going to both guilds now to get more views of other Doctor Who fans.

Um...let's see. My name's Eric, I'm...obviously...a Doctor Who fan, but I'm a MAJOR Whovian. I always keep a Sonic Screwdriver in the cup holder of my car and I'm working on a Dalek graffiti project as we speak. I'm a fan of both the old school and the new school so...that would explain why this is one of my favorite Doctor Who moments ever:

I'm also a big Torchwood fan as well. smile

Howdy. I've sorta snuck over here from Seffy's Doctor Who guild...

Anyway, I'm 17, a high school junior, and live on the East Coast.
My first episode ever was the Satan Pit. Needless to say, I was a bit confused...
Anyway, I caught up with New Who and have been watching all the Classic I can get my hands on.
So pretty much I've ended up a huge nerd. Just a pretty quite one.
My favorite Doctor is currently Five, although Ten and Four are pretty close.
And I've started a Tom Baker scarf, although it's only like 5 inches long... ^^;

So, hi, again :D

Hey all! Jusy here.

I grew up on musical theatre. Musical theatre introduced me to John Barrowman. John Barrowman introduced me to Torchwood. And Torchwood introduced me to Doctor Who!

I've always been a big fan of good sci-fi. I've only been watching Doctor Who/Torchwood for a few months now but they're definitely tied for my favourite show (replacing Futurama, which has been my favourite show for years).

Guild!Newbie~! Ohyes. ninja

I'm Shiny, I'm 18 and currently geeking out over all things DW related. Mostly new-related ones, though - I've not yet gotten the courage to watch the old ones, because I always have mixed feelings when watching something older for the first time. My first Doctor was Ten, so even Nine is semi-foreign to me, heh.

Aside from geeking over DW, I also frequently am found geeking over sound/music. I run sound for my youth group's band, and am considering making music-mixing my career (provided I can get my freaking GED, stupid math but that's another story we won't get into right now).

I love kittens (cats in general, actually), and shiny objects, and caffeine (preferably in coffee-form, but I'm not really that picky about it), and music, and DW (obviously), especially Ten (seriously, if they ever get an Eleven, I will cry, and quite possibly sink into a depression and PROPERLY MOURN Ten because, seriously, I'm that sort of fan. With the mourning and the flailing if he looks in danger). I'm not, however, one of the sort to be all "ooh, sexy", simply because, um, my brain doesn't work that way. I'm pretty much incapable of determining someone attractive to me. Anyone. At all. Ever. Ickle-minded and suchlike. One could assume I'm like five years old if they heard me talking about boys, or sex, or anything remotely related to the topic. But I'm totally going off on a tangent right now, right? Heh! ^^;;

Obsessions are pretty much my life, they flare up and fade out, but they never totally go away - and generally I'm never NOT obsessing over SOMETHING. Ever. If I stopped obsessing, I would probably die. Or at least be really boring. Which, um, would suck. A lot. xD

So that's me.

Um, yes. Also? I babble. In case that wasn't apparent to, um, anyone else...

Hello, all. Since I'm new here, and since this is a thread dedicated to thos of us that are new to this particular guild, one of the few surviving inklings of rationality in my brain said I should probably post here. I can't say I'm over fond of inklings, expecially rational ones, but we're seeing a counselor, not to worry.

Anywho, since people in this general vicinity appear to be confessing their various (and often admirable) levels of addiction to the miraculous tv series by the title of Doctor Who, I will follow suite (another urge generated by that strange little inkling, unfortunately). I did not, infact, grow up with the T.A.R.D.I.S., sonic screwdrivers and Daleks. Truthfully, it wasn't until the series hit stateside that I figured out the wonder of the whole fiasco. Good thing I did, though. I am now a complete addict, and am currently looking for a local meeting of Whovians Anonymous. Sadly, I have yet to meet with any success at all.

Still, I figure since I've got a K-9 model on my dashboard, and a sonic screwdriver in my pocket (most of the time, unless the pockets are too dang small, which is irksome) if there is another desperate Whovian nearby they'll get the picture alright. We'll see, though. So far the only other Whovians I know are ones I've created. Of which there are a few. Hopefully they'll forgive me someday, once they have their lives back on Friday nights when new episodes stop coming on. I'll have to see.

Alright, well, that seems to've satisfied that irksome inkling, so I'll go have a look around the less rational threads, having finished my written confession of hopelessness. So, nice ta meet ya.
