Aria smothers her laughter behind one hand until she regains her calm, almost stoic, expression. She does this shortly after Lockwood arrived.

((Just to be clear, Emmy is not pointing her intar at anyone. She loaded it, and that's all. It's just hanging in her hands now, pointing at nothing.))

"Time out?" Emmy cried, "What the hell? Are you going to spank me next? Geez." Despite that, she chuckled and turned away again. By her aimless strolling she was already several paces away from Lee, she shrugged and kept strolling, looking over the foliage with a bored expression.

"I just want to say for the record that I didn't threaten anyone," Emmy shouted over her shoulder, "You may find that not everyone here can make that claim, but I can. Keep that in mind, Colonel Klink."

Hunter jogged over to Lockwood at her summons, "Sir?"

Upon hearing the request, Hunter sighed heavily and scratched her temple, making her reluctance obvious.

"Dr. Devereaux made a rather loud and colourful entry from the Stargate, sir," Hunter explained, looking knowingly at Lockwood, "As I'm sure you saw from your end. Captain Lee thought that her entrance was in contravention of the mission's parameters, and that it placed the safety of the team in jeopardy. She demanded that Devereaux relinquish her weapons."

Hunter sighed again and massaged her temples, "Devereaux did not recognize Lee's authority or justification for the request, and they have been... discussing it since."

"That's all, sir," Hunter said, her voice tired and clearly unimpressed with all that has transpired so far, "Just a friendly, civilized discussion about the nature of this training mission, and the chain of command of our team. I'm sure they were about ready to wrap it up and continue the training mission, of course."

(*DEATHGASPSHOCK* OMFG IT'S A POST)

"Thank you, Hunter." A little bit of a smile played on Lockwood's lips as she recalled Deveraux's exit on her side of the gate. She could imagine the suprise on this side when she had materialized. If only she'd thought of it first. "Back to your uh, post."

Lockwood took a long drag on her cigarette, stalling for just a moment before she would have to deal with the situation further. Why did Deveraux have to be so damn smart? And Lee so damn... well, Lockwood wasn't sure what Lee was. Her eyes drifted over the pair, trying to decide who to deal with first. They lingered on Rourke, wishing the doctor had some real field experience and would actually exert the authority she had. All this she considered before exhaling, smoke dissipating up toward the treetops.

"Deveraux, you're next." The same gesture, to beckon the doctor to her. While she waited for the scientist to approach, she itched the bridge of her nose, contemplating if she should have applied sunscreen or not.

Sonata, on the opposite end of the clearing, fidgeted with her intar, being sure to keep her fingers clear of the trigger. Now would be a bad time to accidentally shoot the scarecrow again. She felt completely useless, given the situation. And here was Lockwood, she'd already gotten the two of them apart from one another. With the toe of her boot, she nudged a bit of leafy debris about on the ground while she contemplated.

Post? Hunter thought, but she said nothing.

She hadn't missed Lockwood's smirk - she had no doubt the Colonel had full sympathy for Devereaux's antics - but she suspected that for the sake of the mission, she was about to hand Devereaux quite the spank down.

That didn't concern Hunter, though. The scientific team was outside of her command structure.

"Sir," Hunter said with a curt nod, and she walked... away. She picked a random direction that seemed to be more or less clear of people and walked that way. She had no post, after all, but clearly Lockwood wanted space, so she made herself scarce.

"SIR!" Emmy said, snappilly, and then "marched" over to Lockwood - although it was not so much of a march as it was a dance, with skipping, heel-clicking and more. She skidded to stop in front of Lockwood, and mock-saluted with a theatrical, limp-wristed salute. "Yes, sir, Captain, sir... sir!" she saluted again, "Special officer in charge of looking good, Emmy D., reporting as ordered, sir, Captain, sir."

"Ah! But before you say anything!" Emmy raised her finger to cut Lockwood off, then summoned up some fake tears, "Oh... Captain... sir...," she sniffed, "It was horrible! I was... the victim of military brutality! It was like... like the Gestapo! Oh, sure, technically no one actually beat me... but they looked at me very sternly!" she shivered fearfully, "She... beat me with her eyes!" Emmy buried her face in her hands and sobbed for a moment, then peeked through her fingers at Lockwood.

"Anyway, Admiral," she said in her usual, cheerful voice, "I just want you to take into account that I was a victim of emotional and psychological abuse, and as such, totally deserve no punishment. Like, none at all. Keep that in mind."

Aria happens to be close enough to hear, and see, Emmy's little performance, and she can't help but start laughing again, though she attempts to smother it beneath her hand. She decides not to make any comment, as she'd not been asked to give any information.

(( it's a little short, preferrably I'd have included it with the previous post but you never know if emmy's going to play along or not... ))

Lockwood smothered a smile behind her hand lifting to her lips with the smoke again, allowing Deveraux to continue with her tirade over her abuse at the hands of Lee.

"Backing up, Deveraux. From your exit through the gate, tell me what happened in your own words."

"Aw," Emmy waved her hand dismissively, "Nothing happened. Captain Spanky over there's got a stick up her a**, and she just wanted to wave it at me. The stick that is. The a**, well, she'll wave that at anyone with a pulse."

"You know, you should really get your people to lighten up, Commandant," Emmy said, nudging Lockwood with her elbow, "They're pretty wound up, eh? Why I bet if you stuck a lump of coal up either of the Captains' asses, you'd get a diamond. Maybe you should take them out. You know, all three of you guys. Have a girls-who-get-paid-to-kill-people night out. Go see a movie! You know, something with lots of guns and explosions and killing... something really Republican, eh? You guys should find that appealing, hm? Then you can share some ice cream together, and talk... or, you know, find a nice tower you can sit on and snipe at people from."

Emmy pointed at Lockwood's cigarette, "I'd recommend you share some of those with your crew, man. 'Cept make theirs a Buddha sack. Then you guys can put some Marley on, and chill out."

Lockwood smiled for a moment, taking in Deveraux's advice before speaking. "Well I have to speak with Lee next. Got any coal? The next time you want to make a big entrance, Deveraux, I suggest not wasting Intar clips. Perhaps pasties with tassels and a sequined thong might be a good way to go. It's likely to agitate Lee just as bad without disturbing the local wildlife." Another smile and Lockwood walked toward Lee, shaking her head slightly.

"Lee. Your account of what happened, please." Lockwood hooked one arm in the strap of her intar, the other into the belt loop of her pants. She wanted to wrap this up, preferrably before the Jaffa arrived. As nice as it would be to have that appear with her attempting to get her "troops" under control.

During Lockwood's talking to the two other people, Lee had gone off and did some breathing exercises. She was a little too wound tight, and as such needed to cool off. Finally she had gotten herself under control when Lockwood walked over and asked her what happened.

"I assume you already know how Deveraux entered the gate. Screaming like a banshee. She exited the gate, still screaming mind you, opened fire into the tree's and continued to act like some kid on a sugar rush," she explained.

"You had specifically ordered us to act like we were on a regular mission through the gate. As such, Deveraux's conduct not only would have put us in danger if we were on a hostile planet, it would have also alerted enemy troops to our location," Lee said exasperated.

"Since the weapons we are using are intars, there was no real harm, and we aren't on a hostile planet. However, being that this was to be treated like a normal mission with the exception of training, Deveraux conduct should not be let go. Furthermore, Deveraux's commanding officer did nothing to reprimand her. As such, I ordered her to hand over her intars," she explained. "She refused, and I was going to remove them from her by force if necessary. Even civilians who help out SG teams know not to act like the way Deveraux acted. I believe she should not be allowed to carry any weapons unless she starts acting in a manner befitting her station on this team."

After having her say she stood there waiting for Lockwood to give her a dressing down. Even though she knew she had acted as a soldier should and well within protocol especially if this had been a hostile mission, Lockwood still had final say. Furthermore, she probably had stepped over the line.
