Meriko SheWolfAnya: I'll third the gargoyle idea. Just don't make him like...ye almighty gargoyle, second only to the Dark Lord Himself, immune to all magic and only defeatable by poking him in the left buttcheek with a unicorn's horn. XD If characters are too mis-matched in ability/power it makes interactive roleplay somewhat awkward.
Konami: ^^; Sorry. Feel free to make up details if I haven't already, such as the young Lord of Kiadawel's name or Lord Kisan's first name or whatever. I'm making this up as I go, so it's not like you'll be violating well-known canon or anything. *hee*
*nibbles fingernail as Shu and Merro and Letalus converge* Don't worry SHE will be almost like Demona from Disney's Gargoyles but there will be differnts.

Shu Meizhu Ah, timewarp. I was a bit confused by all of that "car" talk. o_O XD But yes, you're doing fabulous now that I know what you meant by it all. XD Good job so far. mrgreen *is also anxious to see the meet-up of Merro, Shu, and Letalus* And my Shiney... I dunno. Is it really plausable that everybody will encounter an item that all needs to go to the exact same place? o_O thanks 3nodding whee i sort of half-figured what my shiney's gonna be. i think joeye's gonna get crankier with it, though xd

The reason you end up at the temple can be anything from casual to life-or-death or pure coincidence. Merro's going there to meet the Knights, and her shiney has nothing to do with her reason for going. It's just something she picks up along the way. Letolas is headed there basically because Merro is. XD Someone else could just be going home to Kiadawel with a quick stop at the temple to thank the gods for a safe journey. The temple is multi-purpose...everyone can make up what they like about it so long as it's not too unreal, like...there's a whorehouse in the basement. ^^;
Basically I just needed a "finish line" for the roleplayers.

Alright, so I know a bunch of us have splendid authoring skills, (especially our beloved english major) but how do you guys think I fare in that field?
Is my writing good enough? ;O
Edit -> Yeah Meri... My characters going to find lots of stuff on her adventure, but nothing that directly involves the temple, in this case. As far as she knows (rather, doesn't), there's no temple there, and has no meaning to her. XD
All Shu knows is that there's a mountain somewhere in the distance. We'll just have to see why/how/ or even IF she goes to the temple at all. XD

*lurves on Alex's posts* You do juuust fine~ ^^ And hey, Shu's an adventurer. If she hears a nifty thing about it, it would be natural for her to go there, wouldn't it? (And if you don't go...we can't start the voting. ;0 wink
*looks at Konami* You're not the English major he was referring to? Your posts were giving me such inferiority complexes that I figured you were the one he was referring to. XD

Shu Meizhu whee !! *jump-tackle-huggle-luff on Nami* heart Hee~ My writing's nowhere near as good as yours, however~ rofl *giggles and cuddles* Thank you. Meri: I was an English major, but I wasn't sure if he knew I was. I thought maybe you were. surprised Inferiority complex! *snort* Woman, you have nothing to feel inferior for. I love the way you write. Not to mention, you have good writing in large quantities. I'm abundantly lazy. sweatdrop

Meri: Well, she's basically an adventurer because she doesn't fit into any of the other "classes". Sure, she travels a lot, has incredible fighting prowress with a staff, and can summon golems from the earth, but what else is there to call her but an adventurer, in that case? XD

Now that I'm looking at my posts, I'm coming across a problem, though. My character is too human. o_o; In the original profile, I had put that he didn't need to sleep or eat, but I took it out in fear that I was making him too powerful. But now I'm thinking I may apply that rule to him again.
What do you think? Is that crossing over into god mod territory? sweatdrop

Helps me with my video game storyline as well. The entirety of "Forever Preserved" is still a bit in the air for me. X3

Nami, you said that he couldn't eat or sleep, but you also mentioned that he once in a while "shuts down" as a negative to go against the positive of not needing to eat or sleep.
Golems normally don't have to eat or sleep at all, and as long as you enforce the "shutting down" once in a while, it's all good.
I personally think it'd be funny to see him shut down in the middle of a battle or when in a conversation. Just to see what kind of comical solution you'd use to get him out of there. X3

*kicks Sushi right in the riceball*
Konami: I have a disorder of the brain which prevents me from being concise. ^^; There are people out there who would rather eat glass than roleplay with me.
With certain people, I wouldn't care if they were roleplaying God Himself. Overpowered characters only become a problem when a roleplayer doesn't understand that a Superman-ing character can kill a roleplay faster than you can say "godmode" or when the player doesn't want to bother being creative enough with the storyline to keep the character's abilities in check. :3 Go ahead and beef up your golem as much as you like.

*takes notes on the discussion about the fine line between powerful characters and god-modding* whee i think given the nature of golems, it's okay to have your character not eat or sleep, konami ^^
