Hebal rolled her eyes "Pff people shouldn't play to stereotypes. But if you ever know some angels or other flying demons that might want some good but real cheap armour. I always wanted to practice more working on stuff for flyers that doesn't reduce their flying capabilities too much" she told him twirling another helmet about. "Oh something I haven't shown you. I have also taken over the spare store cupboard down here just outside the room. Guess it would have been like a janitors closet but I keep all my shiny stuff there which I use for enchanting if you wanna see that"

Amane paused for a moment helping Zadina to get the first pancake off the frying pan then prepared him for the next "You need to flip it so it gets cooked on both sides or else you will get sick" she explained watching Zadina go "But that one I guess.. has already been claimed" she laughed spotting Merric having already tire a piece out with his beak.

Seph tutted watching Itaka "Sometimes you really are too soft. Buy them some cakes next time and in the meantime hope no pickpocket saw you had enough money to afford to throw it away" she whispered playfully putting her tail in his side pocket "Did you not fancy getting yourself one?" she added bringing up her bag from thin air much to the amazement of one or two of the children.

Oassu shook his head laughing "As if, that would be heaven, no we just had an escape route planned so we could escape into the city if need be" he said snickering "We're hardly miners not going to dig through the cities' plumbing and everything to get beneath the bank but is your mother there?" he asked whispering staying behind Felina.

Gil nodded looking at some of the strange little snacks laid out in baskets "I imagine your mother is planning on taking these outside?" he asked glancing out the window to see her Dad toasting the sausages "Hmm that's nice but I'd say it's cheating the spirit of a barbeque" he said with a slight grin before linking arms with Satoshi "Still should we go say hello?" he suggested.

Jeckhart smiled "Sure you could always make some armour like that for me though I hear it's really difficult would be somewhat trial and error but sure I'd love to see your enchanting gear if you will" he said watching the helmet twirl around Hebal's finger nervously, half expecting it to fly off at any moment.

Zadina nodded understanding before glancing at Merric "Oh Merric that's naughty of you, it's probably not even too healthy for chocobos" he said uncertainly going back to attending the pancake as Merric kwehed happily unaware of his admonishment

Itaka shook his head "Unlike you I am full or at least not enough to eat one of those cakes" he said reaching into his pocket to pet her tail "Still it was only small change for the kids, besides this town isn't really big enough for criminals to bother with most just move on to cities" he said.

Felina nodded "Yeah my mother is round there sitting at the table. Looks kind of dozy there with her book. Which means we should probably stop talking about secret passages and guilds. She would be pretty fuming if she found out I took you down one of those tunnels and cant picture dad liking it either. But anyway, are you ready for your first one on one chat at the table with her?"

Satoshi paused picking out a square of cheese from one of the baskets "Well how about we carry a few of them outside for her since she's going to be so busy" she suggested picking up two random baskets. "But sure we'll say help though hope the language barrier isn't too difficult for the pair of you. Should maybe teach you some of my language one day with free time" she offered carrying the food outside only to be pulled into a bear hug by Ikara the moment she put the food down to wish her a happy dragon festival.

Hebal nodded her head proudly "Yep though this is just a small collection. I have more at my house and at my shops but this is one is my favourite. This little shelf here full of shiny rocks though don't think many are valuble except the diamond in the corner though diamond stuff is tricky to make because its so hard. Do you have a shiny collection too? I know some kind of birds like to hoard"

Amane smiled placing her hands on Zadina's "It's simple just get your hands and lift up the pan like this really fast so it raises out the air and then keep the pan under ready to catch" she instructed guiding him through the motions with her hands. "When Merric is big he will be returning the favour and carrying you everywhere so don't be sad hehe"

Seph shook her head "Nah I don't think Felina is that into dragons even if she can afford it. That I think would be more Hebal's thing. She seems more of a secret dragon fan. Though how about we let Chobi be the judge of that and see if theres anything she likes be it a dragon hood or just a pretty collar or something she chuckled seeing her pet already drawn to the picture of the chocobo on the sign.

Oassu smiled bowing low to Alusaadi "It's a pleasure to see you again your grace," he said his eyes drifting to the dragon statue as Alusaadi gestured to it "Happy Dragon Festival to you I hope you are feeling ok what with the baby and all" he said noting how tired she looked.

Gil chuckled returning the hug and greeting to Ikara before stretching once free and petting Enkidu as he bounded out into the garden edging slightly closer to the barbeque. Gil smiled linking up with Satoshi "Well it's nice of him to make an effort and sure you can teach me stuff like that but your dad certainly seems to be in a good mood today" he said

Jeckhart shook his head "Oh no I'm not descended from magpies besides it's a great display of greed for a magpie demon to hoard all their treasures for no reason" he said leaning in closer to see the shiny rocks on the shelves "Oh I'm not sure I think some of those little gemstones will be worth a bit if ever you were to sell them though I don't think I've ever seen anyone wear diamond armour so perhaps it's just too difficult to make a set of" he said.

Zadina frowned concentrating with Amane's help before flipping the pancake successfully "Ah! I did it Amane!" he cheered almost flipping the pancake again in excitement before returning it to the heat "Thank you for the help but yes I suppose he will be one day so shouldn't feel so bad about it" he said giggling as the somewhat-full chicobo kwehhed sleepily before falling over on the pancake plate using what was left of the pancake as a pillow to doze on.

Itaka raised an eyebrow "Do you think so? Dragoons are always weird that way, the way they talk you'd think they were fond of dragons but their skillset and weapons seem designed to combat dragons" he said frowning shaking his head "I can never tell how they are connected to them but sure if you want to dress Chobi up you are welcome to try, I reckon she's too proud for it though" he said folding his arms with Annabelle looking uncertainly at the picture of the Chocobo in the Dragon costume that Chobi seemed fascinated by.

Alusaadi smiled somewhat amused by the fact Felina was still just as excited about receiving gifts as she was when still a child "Go on you can bring your things over if you wish" she told Felina with an eye roll seeing her rush over to her gifts. "The baby is fine. I am just tired because as much as my husband tries to be quiet when having to get up early because of whatever situation may come up, he hasn't yet mastered the art of stealth. But at the very least there is still time for a brief rest before visitors begin to arrive for the evening. I take it you intend on attending?" she asked Oassu while watching Felina out the corner of her eye hunting through the presents.

Satoshi smiled seeing her dad toss Enkidu a sausage taken off the barbeque "Well yeah its a good day to be in a good mood. Everyone is celebrating and presents for everyone in high spirits. Besides I think my dad just secretly likes cooking" she added watching Miyu attempting to sneak by should Enkidu fail to notice the food in time. "But right now, he's asking if you want some sausages put on to eat before dinner" she translated.

Hebal grinned picking up and pocketing one of the diamonds unveiling the corner of an even bigger pile of diamonds "Well you see amane sort of befriended a magic pot named Milly who occasionally when happy likes to spurt out lots of diamonds. So I think Amane secretly sells diamonds to buy elixirs to get more diamonds to give to me. Otherwise I wouldn't care so much about having to try to make the armour. But would be a waste not to use such a nice gift right"

Amane ndded taking the frying pan from Zadina "okay I shall finish these off and when you come back we can decide on toppings and flavourings and such. Do you think Merric will be ok by himself in the stable on the airship? Hope he doesn't try wandering off anyway" she wondered.

Seph paused "Who knows for sure, the dragon taming sort of folks always tended to be pretty antisocial loners to begin with. And dragoons aren't exactly open about their training methods. Maybe we could try asking Hebal about it. Someone must have trained her after all. Might just have some kind agreement to only join forces in times of need for all I know" she theorised.

Oassu returned the bow towards Elorin glancing at Felina scrabbling through the presents for her last one "Well thank you your highness that's awfully kind of you and it's good that you are looking out for your daughter's safety, I certainly appreciate that" he said crouching down to see if he could spy something for himself.

Gil nodded "It's a special occasion I'll have some wine" he decided squeezing Satoshi's hand gently "Are none of your brothers joining us?" he asked surprised not to see any of them there while he left Enkidu to chow down on his sausage.

Jeckhart's eyes widened in surprise "Thats...quite an impressive feat, perhaps she has the making of a beastmaster in her, there's plenty of people who would appreciate that sort of friend, perhaps you shouldn't share that information with just anyone there's a few unsavoury treasure-hunter types out there who would go looking for someone who had befriended a magic pot." he said turning his attention to the pile of diamonds "And yes it seems smart to use diamonds that way since you have such a good supply of them, I imagine they'll sell well in your shops since they are so rare for full suits" he said.

Zadina nodded "Didn't he live in a stable back at your house? He can't wander off anywhere in there, it's just a nice little bed with some food for him plus it might get him used to the scent of the other chocobos here like Chobi" he said gently plucking up the snoozing chicobo to carry to the stables.

Itaka smirked "Sure I can't imagine Hebal is the type to clam up about secrets or something though based on the types of folks that trained her I can't really imagine she's bound by any oaths to unite with other dragoons" he said sighing at the hat on Chobi "So you are really going to buy that thing?" he said surprised.
