Piper nodded, taking the chest from her friend and it was duely packed with everything else she had decided to take with her. "Thanks Zahara...hopefully I won't have any need for it, right?" Giving him friend a smile, even if she didn't feel like smiling at all. Another nod, "I will." Thus her attention turned down to her son, whom she pried off her leg and crouched down to his level. She had the urge to cry all over again but she merely pet a hand through his hair then drew him close in a hug, holding him to her tightly. "I love you Malikahi...don't you ever think that I don't. And I'm coming back home okay? I promise you. Be good for daddy alright?" Damnable armor on the boy, but she would make due. A kiss on the cheek for the boy and she picked him up as he stood, handing him to his father. No, not a single goodbye for anyone, she wasn't going to say it. And it was better that she left before the negativity from husband and son both, set in.

He had hugged his mother back, latched to her and merely nodding at what she was saying, he even let her hand him off to Malik to hold him. This wasn't bad, daddy was right...of course he could believe that until he saw her walking away. Thus came the squirming in his father's hold. "No! Mommy don't do!" Mommy may never come back, that was a bad thing.

There was never something so hard as to walk away from your own child as he was screaming for you to not go. Add on your husband in total disagreement with you leaving as well was a double hit. Someone should just run her through with a sword now. And it was hard to not look back over her shoulder at the child's screaming, but merely look to Deidrick and give him a nod before heading out of the fortress, and grabbing Serino, mounting up and patting his flank. "Hope up Deidrick, we'll take the easy way back..."

Sevilin was quiet throughout the whole thing, merely watching. It couldn't be easy for Malik or his son...it was easy to tell the child was absolutely against this and acted out about it even, but he knew despite Malik making himself look like he was fine, it probably wasn't all fine. He tapped his fingers on the table, resolving to keep his mouth shut and focus on Nym for the moment.

He kept his son in his hold.

"Everything will be fine. But right now, we'll need to keep this place in order for when she gets back. and Dad will be able to find mom no matter where she goes."

As long as that stitching held out in that cloak.

"I may not be able to go with her, but she's not going alone, alright. and you and I will make sure that this house is good and ready for her to come back to."

Setting his son down, and looking to Sevilin.

"How's your progress been?"

His face showed nothing. no emotion at all.

He pretty much kept on struggling in his father's hold until he wore himself out for the moment. After all, someone wearing armor and not used to it at all, tired easily. Okay so he was reduced to sniffles then and nodding when he was spoken to. Though yes the moment he was set down he did try to make a go for it, only to trip and fall again, pushing himself back up to sit on the flow and merely turn a look to his father. Well this was nice...first mommy leaves and now daddy was acting funny and was doing what mommy called the 'business thing'.

Oh yeah, Malik was not a happy man at all. Sevilin knew he because he knew that look well and was well practiced in it all the same. The 'I'm feeling nothing adverse at the moment, all is fine, but not enough to make me crack a smile' look. It was going to be hell in the Twilight Lands. "It's slow going. There's a fair amount to harvest but unless we find something with more holding capacity, we're going to be doing this at least several times a week, if not a day."

Zahara watched the scene remembering what it had been like to leave Zykariel behind when she'd been thrown out. Lucky for her she'd still gotten moments to see her son. Piper wouldn't get that and her future hung in the air unsteady. That didn't excuse Malik's behavior in her mind though and she could have cheerfully thrown a dagger through him. Walking over she scooped the child up off the floor and dearmored him methodically, setting it on the floor next tot he chair. He didn't need that right now, then cuddled him tightly, rocking him in her lap and rubbing his back. "It's okay to cry, Malikhai." And if Malik said something, gods help her she was going to kill him.

Zykariel was feeding off the tension and upset becuase his friend was upset. He didn't want Miss Piper to go either and it was hard watching. He knew what it was like to have a Mommy leave. But he walked over to her and patted Malikhai's arm.

Zahara responded by scooting over slightly and patting the spot next to her for Zykariel to climb up. If the nursery hadn't currently been overtaken she would have taken the boys out. Sadly she'd have to settle for sending a serf for their toys because neither of them were leaving her sight.

"I see. then we'll find something with a bigger depository."

Looking at his son and Zahara.

"Leave his armor on. he needs to learn to move in it and it's for his own safety, as much as it is for your own son. I imagine the orcish horde will be moving soon. either to us, or the purians...or both if they have numbers."

Malik sighed lightly, and went downstairs...or at least two steps.

"As of right now, only the lowest floor of this house is offlimits to everyone but adults. I want you to be able to go everywhere you might need to in order to be safe or find safety."

And downstairs to the arena, looking over the canidates from the seating.

"All of you are here to take a risk. a risk that before you were forced into, and now are chosen to fufill. I need you to be prepared to defend your new homes, and your new lives. the world is thrown into chaos, the orcish horde may move against us. I applaud your bravery for those that choose to fight. for those that don't, your place will be to help support and provide for those here."

Leaning over a bit, placing his hands on the edge, gripping it a little harder than he probably needed to.

"Make your choices. steel yourselves for the coming storm."

Before going back upstairs.

"Sevilin...you and I need to make a trip to the vault."

before turning to his son.

"and you need to get something to eat. Zahara can help with cooking but I want you to eat something, alright?"

Of course he wasn't one to protest, he needed that close contact right now. In no way was he a happy child, and his head was hurting as well. Partially from feeling the unease in his parents and from broadcasting his own. And since daddy wasn't in the mood to give any comfort out right now he was quite ready to give what was offered. Hell he would even take Sevilin at this point. Thus cuddling up to her he laid his head against her shoulder, sniffling and crying some. This was not fair!

And apparently daddy had different ideas about his armor and if he could form coherent words at the moment he would of agreed with his father on the subject. But at this point he assumed that it would get back on him eventually, if anything to make daddy happy on some level. Glassy silvery eyes turned to Malik and he gave a nod, though he didn't particularly feel like eating...

Sevilin shook his head. This was going to be impossible for Malik to work liek this. Though that was a subject that had to be breeched at the right time...after all, Sevilin did not feel like dying any time soon, he had his own son to not abandon. A look to Malik and a nod, standing up and turning a look to Zykariel. "Stay with your mother, alright?" Thus turning and starting off downstairs.

The druid lazily walked about the complex. He yawned, cleaned his nails, and then continued about much as he alwasy did, lurking gently about like the breeze, but normally he'd do this as a song bird.

Being a song bird is fun.

Malik went downstairs, showed sevilin about the fire illusion, and then what stones to walk on to avoid the floor illusion, and opened the vault. which was filled with books, weapons, armor, cloaks, and various other trinkets and such. all of them gave off magical power. some had a lot, most were in a big to medium range, and a few in the smaller range.

"small weapons are expendable. so is jewelry and most knick knacks by default. weapons, cloaks and armor we'll need to assess. see if thier power as armor or a weapon is more useful then thier energy drain would be. there's a clip on the righthand, should be everything inventoried."

Security, wasn't it impressive sometimes. Though he liked these kinds of things, gave a little challenge to things. He did give a light whistle though at the vault...magic flare anyone? They'd be lucky if no mage on the plain got wind of it because they'd have a bad case of leeches all of a sudden. Walking over to where Malik indicated he took a quick glance through the list. He so appreciated lists. "I'd say if they can recharge or they have enough power to be used as a trump card of sorts, then leave them be and drain everything else. "Better get started then...you've got quite the collection."

Delaney didn't say anything to Moonstone but tried to focus her eyes to actually see him. By the time she had done so he had left. She swallowed the dried leaves with the help of the milk that Moonstone had left her and then stayed put for a bit to let her stomach settle.

The feline pushed some hair off her face and noticed that she had indeed hit her head. She then proceed to trying to heal her wound with some of her slight healing powers but failed. She didn't pay much mind to that and figure she couldn't cast the spell because of her current state.

She had never been extremely connected to her magic skills emotionally which was why she hadn't noticed the lack of magic or powers in her.

Delaney felt as if she should go back to her hotel room in order to leave the beds open to the patients so she left a note of thank you addressed to Moonstone and left.

Zahara was furious. She was not going to force the child back into his armor nor was she going to force food down his throat. He needed his father. She understood that Malik was upset and into his Master of the House mode but he had a three year old son who didn't understand sieges and orcs moving and only understood that his mother whom he loved very much was now gone and might not ever be coming back. The child was afraid, uncertain and horribly upset and clingy. And she knew he wanted to cling to his father. And the child should have that opportunity. "Come on Malikhai, Zykariel. Let's get you boys fed." She held her son's hand tightly and walked into the kitchen nodding when she was spoken too. "I need that full inventory list as soon as possible. In the meantime make something for the boys. It doesn't matter what though something easy on their stomachs. And someone go get Malik and tell him I want to see him here, now." Then into the dining room with her where she kept Malikhai cuddled in her lap and nodded to the chair beside her for Zykariel.

Moonstone looked at his ahnds. They looked find, and he felt fine. He should be quite cabable of doing this. The lizard woman hissed at his delay.

"Well now, I can't do a diagnostic on her. Perhaps I am more exaughsted than I thought." It had been a long day. He looked at his brother with a shrug of appology.

The pop of her shoulder was dull in her ears, the pain of it chased away the sound. It felt like it had been crushed. In a state of shoke, he couldn't move with this rabid wolf standing over, drooling in her face. At the point, the crowd had picked up shovels and ptichforks, and were moving in on the wolf. They were not about to stand around and let some innocent get mauled to death.

Deidrich hopped up as he was able, falling across the horse's rump on his stomach so that his nails wouldn't dig into the creature. He was as considerate as he could be, and as trusting with the winy horse's abilities.

Toharu stuck close to Zahara's neck, petting when she felt the drow was getting particularily upset. She had gotten close to her, even if she still wasn't talking beyond yes or no. She couldn't say she much understood what was going on, she was pretty much a child herself. Piper was leaving, the child had been in armor, the adults are angry.

Kon's head whipped from side to side, looking at the other vilagers. She barked at them. Foolish creatures, she was not hunting them so why did they care?

She looked down at her prey and snapped her jaws In Aella's face. For a moment, Kon's eyes changed colour. Her momentary grey eyes blinked as she stared at Aella's face. Eliot backed away in shock and horror as she saw her best friend broken and bleeding beneath her.

A villager clubbed her across the head, and Kon's golden eyes flashed back with hatred. Kon turned on the man, tearing his throat out in an instant. The other villagers closed in around her. Kon took off down the street. Killing as many as she could sink her teeth into as she went.

Piper gave a nod and a kick to Serino...though in her opinion the speed of the travel, that in a blink of an eye they were outside the manor that Meilikki resided in, she found it a burden this time. Sliding down off of Serino, she made sure Deidrick got down okay and then she turned to the manor.

"Piper!" Duely flinging herself into the elf and hugging her tightly.

"Keely..." She hugged the girl back...it was nice to see her. After all, she had been gone for quite a while now. Though then she blinked and pushed the girl gently away. "Keely...I know that you enjoy being here, but we really need you at home...it's urgent."

"Urgent?" She blinked and gave a worried look then one to Serino and back to Piper. "Would you tell Meilikki I said goodbye then?" Asking as Piper had ushered her over to Serino.

"Of course I will...now Serino will take you back. Take good care of the children alright?" The familiar face of Keely perhaps could ebb her own son somewhat...thus helping Keely onto the horse, the two promptly disappearing and Piper made her way inside the manor. "Alright Deidrick, lead the way."

Keely, though saddened she didn't get to say goodbye to Meilikki, was glad to be home. Earthquakes and chaos were not fun at all. Serino had poofed inside the fortress and she slid off the steed, giving him a pet. She knew abotu Piper, had overheard Meilikki talking about it. "Take care of Piper you, or it's a jar for you." Watching him disappear again and promptly taking to asking questions whose's answers would lead her to the dinning room and thus the children. "Zykariel, Malikhai, I'm back."

Said children were eating pudding, though sulkingly so. Malikhai was more of playing in his but he was eating an occassional spoonful. Couldn't have daddy mad at him for not eating anything like he was supposed to. Though Keely's familiar voice did draw his attention and Zahara got a tug. "Keely is back..." It should of been more enthusiastic.

Zahara was waiting for Malik but he didn't seem likely to appear any time soon. She had things to do. The medical supplies inventory had been completed and the list brough to her. She'd gone over it and then wrote herself a shopping list. There were things she needed to get and do. But first she needed to give Malik a piece of her mind. But her mental rant was interrupted when Keely appeared. "Keely. I'm sure you know what's going on. Between the loss of magic and other things it's been a madhouse here." She gently ran her fingers through Malikhai's hair. "I need to go talk to Malik about something but I need someone to stay with the boys. I would appreciate it if you watch them for a little while so I can take care of some things." She stood and handed Malikhai over before pressing a kiss to her own son's hair. "I'll be back soon, I promise. And then maybe we'll read a story or something. Zykariel, stay with Keely and be a good boy."

Zykariel glanced up at his mother and shook his head. She couldn't go anywhere too. "You're coming back though right?"

She nodded. "Yes. I'll be back. Just be good for me." Giving him a hug and petting through his hair. Just like that she mouthed a 'thank you' to Keely and then hurried out. Grabbing her new cloak she tucked her list into her pocket and settled Toharu inside the hood still pressed against her neck. She wasn't telling anyone where she was going. That would take too much time and she knew Malik would make her take someone with her or not let her go at all. She snapped out a few more instructions to those around and then headed out. With her whip and twin daggers she'd be fine. Grabbing Faete she mounted him and took off, stopping halfway between Deepwater and the Inthara house. Most of what she was looking for would be in this area. "Go on Faete, I"ll be fine." Watching the nightmare race off she shook her head and pulled out her list. She had a lot of work to do and not that much time to do it in. Thus she began combing the Underdark, searching for the roots of the rottvyne.
