Heehee... I've always done set dollar amounts. I'll probably set it to around five bucks maximum just so it's easy for everyone. Or maybe ten dollars... I'm not sure how much money my friends have.
In any case I just want to cook for them. I wonder if they would mind if I asked for some help buying the actual foods.

I think asking them to chip in would be quite reasonable... most of the time, something like that, or bringing a side dish themselves, would be expected.
Last time we had a set-set dollar amount, I believe it was $7.48. mrgreen

It is an odd amount, and that was the reason for it. (That was actually a choir white elephant exchange, now that I think of it...) ^_^ I had a little money left over, so I filled the rest of it with Jelly Bellies, as I recall... smile

Kals needs help with her Christmas Avatar! We've done the gift exchange as a white elephant thing, too, where you wrap up something you aren't using anymore that you think someone else might like.
@Not-Indy: My choir is touring to your city in late april/early may.

I've always preferred white elephant giving of that sort; it's tons of fun and makes it a little less awkward to give gifts to people in a group. But that's just me when it comes to the holidays.

I am looking very spiky, Kalsie. I was going for a badass winter look of sorts. Though... I wish that the Enchanted Strings had an Electric Guitar.
