Liam walked slowly and cautiously around Violet and Dream. Luckily, from what it seemed, she was paying all of her attention to bringing down Dream mentally. She swung at Dream right when he got directly behind her. Liam gripped his scythe and swung the handle at her legs, just to knock her down. Maybe, if he managed to hit her, she'd be too caught up in the fall to continue probing Dream's mind.

As Violet swiped at his feet, Liam did the same to Violet. Anyone who said that Liam still deserved to be alongside the demons must have been mentally ill. But thoughts could come later. He backflipped over her attack, landing a bit farther away from her. During the flip, he had sheathed his rod and instead had taken out a weaker, but swifter, weapon. With a flick of his wrist, a golden-yellow plasma blade erupted from the dark electronic cylinder he held. He spun the beam saber expertly, almost casually, as he awaited Violet's next move. "Why do you need to draw attention to yourself anyway? You can be a good person and still fufill your needs. I recall you saying you were wanted in the underworld, why not take revenge on the evil that banned you in the first place?"

Once Violet realised Dream was going to avoid her attack she leaned backwards, unsure or what the beam saber was capable of. By doing so however she didn't notice Liam's scythe. Hearing the sound of the object moving through the air she managed to turn and see it coming towards her just as it collided with her right knee. She took to the air at that point to avoid further injury but winced a little as she took a long jump so she was standing to the Liam's left and Dream's right. "One demon against all the armies of Hell? I must have been mistaken when I thought you were intelligent," she laughed. Looking over to Liam she just tutted and spoke in a mock sad voice. "Traitor, i thought you were one of us,"

Dream shook his head. "Not much different than one Star Warrior against a legion of Dark Matter. And I survived." He stepped closer. "I have officially decided that arguing with you is going nowhere." He sent a few sparks of healing power at Violet to restore her knee, and at the same time commanded himself into the air and attempted an uppercut with the yellow plasma blade. Symbolic of his mixed feelings; he didn't really want to hurt her, just send her away.

As Dream came at her from above she turned on heel in a graceful circle, bringing one wing forward to protect her eyes from any light that could suddenly come from the saber. "Oh all hail the mighty Dream! You can survive anything because your perfect and good, far to high and mighty to speak to the lowly natives of the planet your invading!" she cried sarcastically. She leapt forwrd as she spoke, her wings spreading to allow her to jump the long distance towards Liam. She brought her rapier around in a wide arc, hoping to hold it to his neck but not actually hurt the angel immeadiatly. She'd decided to make the two suffer for making her doubt herself so much over the past few days.

"Too high to speak to humans? What do you think I've been doing these past years on Earth? I've done my share of evil, too, I'm not as perfect as I pretend to be. That's why I've been working so hard at this, I want to fix myself as well as the world." He cast himself down again, but didn't have time to get between Violet and Liam. Hopefully Liam was adept enough to face Violet.

Even though Liam was watching Violet's actions carefully, he was still caught a little off guard when she came towards him with her sword swinging. Either he had fast reflexes, or he was just plain lucky; he managed to hold up his scythe about three inches away from his face before her blade lashed with the handle of his scythe; enough to avoid her blade touching his flesh, but not by much. He made sure not to look angry, keeping his eyes wide open; staring into hers as if he could read her. "I'm not a traitor," he said surely, "I belong not to Lucifer nor God, but I have friends to protect now," he paused for only a second, "You could be one of them if you resolve your ways," his voice turned quiet, but still sincere as he held the only thing keeping her blade from his throat.

Violet stared straight back at Liam, her sunglasses slipping down her nose a little as she tried to over-power Liam's hold on his scythe revealing the brilliant emerald eyes. She didn't have eyelids to blink so her stare never wavered. "Been there, done that. I once stood in the middle ground like you, look how that ended," she replied with a faint, animalistic snarl. "Besides, your a fool to offer protection to others. You do not know there enemys, you do not know their weaknesses and so waste your energy for no logical purpose." She tried for one last push with her rapier before suddenly ducking down and trying to duck under his arm, bringing her sword round to try and cut through his stomach. As she did so she called to Dream, "Demons were on this planet long before humans, they are nothing but an infestation that will soon die out,"

"There's multiple views to everything. You might argue that humans are a benefit to demon society for the number of new ones that are made almost every day." While he was saying this, he had been walking quickly back over to Violet and Liam. "You know that I don't choose my assignments. I'm directed by a goddess." As she attempted to slice Liam, he launched a barrade of small, sharp slices of controlled air at her.

((Happy Holidays indeed lol. Good will to all and all that....unless of course your in this roleplay where everyone seems to be trying to hurt each other for some odd reason.... xd ))
Violet was about to reply when Dream attacked her with the air. She had no way of knowing it was coming and so took several of the attacks in her stomach. Unlike most pure born demons she still breathed air, and she bent over double for a moment to regain her breath. Her rapier was hanging limply in her hand for a moment so she reached out with her mind instead, willing to risk the threat of light. "Gods and Godess's....are...illogical. E...Everything you...do...is," she replied, her words broken as she took deep breathes. As she spoke she was building barriers around both Dream and Liam's mind, the mental equvilant of the pressure of the deep sea on a human body.

{Yeh Yeh, Happy Holidayyysss! ^^}
As Violet stopped pushing her weapon against his and ducked under his arm, he started to fall over from the release of pressure. He regained balance in his legs, but still didn't have enough time to back away from her rapier. If Dream hadn't attacked her with air, her sword would've sliced right through his stomach. Liam backed up a couple steps before Violet's mind barrier started it's magic on him. His mouth opened a little in effect; it felt like his ears were about to pop, like he was lifting off into the air with unimaginable speed and the pressure was way too much to bare. He tried not to let it affect him, putting his free hand up over his ear and temple, while his other hand gripped the scythe. He kept his eyes on Violet, not letting the pressure distract him if she made another move.

Dream felt the pressure as well, an extremely strong pressure that may have been enough to torture a human mind into insanity. Even with the countless years of facing mental torture, especially during his adventures with dark matter, it was still painful. Violet was stronger than the dark matter that had gripped Liam.
He blinked; he had unintentially realized the form of darkness which had been controlling Liam. Even if it wasn't exactly the same, it was definately extremely similar to dark matter. Hopefully it had nothing to do with the Nightmares.
While thinking about this, the pressure on his mind seemed to not affect him as much, since he wasn't thinking about it. Realising this, he tried to block it out of his mind as much as he could in order to minimize the pressure, deciding that trying to withstand it would be better than attacking it directly with bright thoughts. "Everyone seems illogical... to someone with a different point of view... I'm willing to trust... a goddess of wisdom... Logic is her specialty." He was speaking in short passages as well. It was hard to focus with the pressure that she was excerting.

"You follow the logic of a god while you yourself are on an entirly different plane of existance? How can you know that when you apply the God's logic to our world that the rules will make sense?" she replied, having regained her breath. She suddenly released the pressure she was giving out, taking a quick dive with her rapier to Dream's shoulder.

Dream felt a release in mental pressure, which startled him since he had begun to become used to it. He was therefore unable to react to Violet until the last moment, so though he managed to aviod full contact with her weapon, her rapier still managed to draw blood. It was, of course, painful, but it began healing soon after. In the meantime, he stepped back a bit, bringing his saber back into position. "She makes more sense than anyone else I've seen here so far. I'm willing to trust her for now."

Liam relaxed a bit now that the mental pressure was released. It was a good thing too, if Liam was put under too much stress something he'd been trying to avoid from the first time he met his new friends; something that would just be another devastating occurance, and he'd have to start all over again when, this time, life was actually working for him.
Liam let out a breath and walked a couple steps closer to Violet and Dream, "I agree with Dream," he said in a somewhat loud voice, "You will never know that a different God's rules will make sense following another's, but everyone has to make the decision on what they believe, who makes the most sense to them. This Goddess who is the epitome of logic seems like the right one to trust at the moment."
