Hmm, well I've found several spells for placing someone under mind controls, but nothing so far to counter those. For charms, it seems a little more flexable. Magic or other charms have a chance to free someone up from under another charms influence.
^^
I'm still looking into other ways it may have been done, and possible counters to those.

i see. Well I'm sure there must be something here that can be used. Still, the most powerful tool in overcoming mind manipulation is the mind itself. One ray of light can cause the entire enclosure to break down. If Thanatos can create a large enough opening.... then he will be able to free any mind he wishes

*nods* Thanatos has already shown early signs of being a capable telepath. He hasn't developed the ability to use it yet, but with external augmentations he is able to utilize it to an extent. However.... I highly doubt Thanatos will resort to telepathy. Even though he has the ability to become a master of it.... he secretly abhors that kind of manipulation. He believes in the ability of the mind to make its own decisions. If the man he now seeks uses his mind and sorcery to cause pain..... then Thanatos will use his words and his heart to break the spell.....

I suppose one can't blame him. With his friend under the control of something similar, he probably thinks it something only harmful and destructive.

*Mastema wasn't just meditating. He was searching through all of Zio's archives using telepathy. How he maintained a telepathic communication with a mechanical being was still a mystery. Never the less, he looks through whatever he knows on demon memory manipulation*

*After going over every line, Nana slowly closes the cover of yet another book. She sets it aside with the rest, which by now was quite the little pile. After a moment with her eyes closed, Nana cracks open one eye to gaze over at Mastema who was still doing...something*
