Khalid blinked, silent. He was burning to say the words he truly wanted to tell Ishizu, but that would be going against his code. STill... three simple words. 'I love you.' That was how he felt about Ishizu; he knew it was strange. He wasn't supposed to show feelings. He wasn't supposed to have feelings. This was a mistake.
Clearing his throat softly, he glanced around the room for another moment before speaking. "What I said before, it's not going to happen. The bad thing in Domino. I don't know why, prehaps Fate decided against it. This is safe for now." This was partially a lie. Khalid didn't know what was going to happen, but Fate might've decided against it. He didn't have the strength to tell Ishizu what he had wanted to before. It seemed, to him, that whatever boldness he had in him was gone.

Looking a bit crestfallen, Ishizu nodded her head slightly. "Why did you have to tell me in secret like this? It's not really that important. Besides, I'm still going to go to Egypt. My parents still believe that I'm dead, and I don't want them to worry." She looked away from Khalid, wondering what was wrong with her.

Khalid also moved his gaze away from Ishizu, looking sheepish. He suddenly grasped her wrist, turning Ishizu slightly around so she was facing him, then leaned foreward and kissed her gently, bracing himself for rejection, but pulling away before Ishizu could really react. He gazed solidly into her eyes for a moment, then said softly, "That's why."

Eyes widening, Ishizu looked shocked; she was expecting something like that, yet it still came as a suprise. She felt frozen to the bed, gazing back helplessly into Khalid's eyes. A fog wrapped around her mind as she ran a hand gently up Khalid's arm, from where he had grabbed her wrist. She put her hand on the back of his head and pulled his head forward, bringing them together in another gentle kiss, her eyes fluttering shut.

Their passionate moment was interrupted by a terrified scream from the kitchen area. Khalid broke away quickly, his eyes on the door. He remembered that the tomb robber and his hikari had gone into there; it had to be them. He went over to the door and quickly opened it, glancing over his shoulder at Ishizu before looking into the hallway. He looked shocked to see Marik and Kira there, Kira seeming to just've gotten out of the bathroom. He could tell that Marik had been listening in, that was obvious.
Atem burst into the kitchen door before anybody else could've gotten there, still on high alert. He found Ryou sitting on the counter, Bakura pressing a strip of duct tape over his hikari's mouth. The tomb thief turned around, looking a bit surprised, but his infamous little smirk was plastered on his face a moment later. Atem growled, narrowing his eyes.
"What? I'm not doing anything. Ryou screams too loudly, that's all. I already have a headache." Bakura said in response to the look on Atem's face, smirking.

"Oh?" Bakura glanced from Ryou, to Girl, back to Ryou. "I'm sorry. Hold on a moment..." He reached over, grabbing a corner of the duct tape and snatching it off with one quick jerk. It made a sound like paper being torn in half, and Ryou yelped, clapping a hand over his mouth. The hikari jumped off of the counter, his Millennium Eye glowing, and bumped past everybody and rushed into the bathroom to hide.

(I'm sorry! I'm here now. I was playing around on Youtube. I fell in love with the show Lost... though I've only seen the first season. ninja )
Ishizu, who had slowly made her way out of the bedroom, still in a little haze, managed to grab Ryou's hand as he started to go into the bathroom. Putting her foot in front of the door so he couldn't close it, she tried to calm Ryou. Her eyes first fell on the glowing Millennium Ring, and quickly tried to clear her mind. She didn't really want Ryou to know what happened with her and Khalid... If Khalid wanted to show her his feelings in secret, she should just wait until she talked to him next. "I heard you scream... Are you all right?" She asked in her smoothest voice, trying to soothe him.

Ryou struggled against Ishizu's grasp, but after a moment he suddenly froze. The Millennium Eye grew stronger as he probed around in Ishizu's mind for a moment, then a small smile came over his face as he relaxed in her grip. It was nice to see somebody happy on Christmas. The Millennium Eye grew dull, the golden light fading from behind his blindfold.
Bakura shrugged slightly at the pharaoh, showing that he wasn't going to chase Ryou as he turned and started putting away a knife he had found on the counter from before. He smiled slightly at the slight growl from Atem as he stormed from the kitchen area.
Atem brushed past Khalid, who was looking a little torn from keeping an eye on Bakura or checking on Ryou. Khalid decided to stay in the doorway to watch Bakura as Atem went over besides Ishizu and Ryou, where the boy was obviously calmed. He checked him over for any wounds, and found none. That was good.

Ishziu took Ryou's hand and squeezed it gently, knowing that he had searched around in her mind and hoped that he didn't say anything. She led him over to the couch so that they could sit down, and carefully avoided looking at Khalid.
