 Aaron was inducted into Baseball Hall of Fame in 1982 n' received votes on 97.8 percent of ballots, 2nd only to Ty Cobb (98.2). Aaron retired as a player in 1976 n' currently works in Braves' front office.

Soriano's Blast, July 13, 2004  AL 2nd baseman Alfonso Soriano dealt crushin' blow early with a 3-run home run that capped a 6-run 1st innin' off hometown starter Roger Clemens of Astros. Soriano was named MVP.

Hammerin' Hank, July 15, 2003  Texas 3rd baseman Hank Blalock gave AL home field advantage in World Series with a stunnin' 2-run home run off Eric Gagne at U.S. Cellular Field. Blalock became 12th player to go deep in his 1st All-Star at-bat.

Cal's Farewell, July 10, 2001  Playin' in his 18th n' final All-Star Game, Cal Ripken Jr. went deep off Chan Ho Park to win his 2nd MVP award in midsummer classic.

Pedro Overpowers, July 13, 1999  Pitchin' in his home ballpark of Fenway, Pedro Martinez became 1st pitcher to strike out 1st 4 batters in an All-Star Game. MVP struck out 5 of 6 batters he faced, n' AL won 4-1.

1st Grand Slam, July 6, 1983  AL won for 1st time since 1971 as Angels' Fred Lynn hit 1st grand slam in All-Star Game history. Lynn's shot off Atlee Hammaker came after NL intentionally walked Robin Yount at old Comiskey Park.
