Matteo would break his gaze away from the approaching storm cloud to look at Tristen and register his suggestion that they got moving. Nodding at him he spoke again. "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Don't want to be caught out here in a storm. Squawkabilly won't fly when it's lightning anyways. Lets hoof it!" The boy said as he took off running, a normal run, not that he had the energy for another burst of Agility at the moment any ways.
The boys would run through the grassy field that surrounded the swamp they were once in, far quicker to go around it than through if they intended to get back to the beach side Pokemon Center as quick as possible. As they ran Tristen might notice some of the local Pokemon acting up with large flocks of Fletchling and Fletchinder flying off to the west and herds of Deerling fleeing towards the trees. On the other end however Pachirisu were climbing to the tops of the trees, heads poking out of the leaves as they looked east and packs of Luxio were running east towards the coming storm. Some Pokemon feared its approach while others welcomed it.
"Hey!" Matteo called out to Tristen, shouting as it began to thunder. "You think it has something to do with the local Wattrel? They do hunt Arrokuda. Maybe the mass hatching drew in a whole bunch of the birds? You know, all that electricity in one place or something, maybe it caused a storm." The boy suggested for an explanation.
Just as the cliffs came into view, of which the Pokemon Center was at the bottom of, it would begin to rain. As the water drops hit Matteo the boy grunted and groaned, the water not feeling all that great. "I hate getting wet!" The boy complained as he ran for the slop which would lead to the bottom of the cliffs. Eventually they'd both make it to the bottom, wet but safe. The Pokemon Center would be just at the bottom, Matteo running for safety from the rain underneath the center's canopy. "Finally!" He shouted as they made it, the boy panting as he tried to catch his breath.
The rain would intensify as they stood under the canopy, the thunder clapping fierce as the storm was now in full swing. "You boys arrived just in time." The nurse of the Pokemon Center part said.
"Whoa, were we supposed to get such weather today?" The PokeMart clerk asked no one in particular as he stepped out from behind the counter to look out at the rain. "Hey, let's put the shutters down." He said back towards the nurse. She wouldn't argue with the man as she turned to her console and pressed a few buttons causing metal security shutters to slowly fall down all around them. Soon they would be surrounded by the metal shutters, protected from the elements. Small plexiglass panels were built into the shutters on opposite ends so that one may see through, the windows just big enough to get a look outside but not fit through.

“I don’t know!” Tristen said as he tried to focus on trying to get to shelter. “I don’t know enough about Wattrel to know one way or another! I mean…maybe!? But to do that I would think there had to be like a lot!” he said, trying to watch his step and not trip as he pressed onward, trying to make sure also that Matteo was close behind. He wasn’t sure about it himself…he did see a good number of Watrell at one time; in fact some nearly made his science project lunch if it weren’t for him fending them all off with Dragonite and Xatu, followed up with a massive Discharge out of Galvantula whose electricity they couldn’t even handle.
The rain would end up coming down as soon as they crested the hill and started for the mad dash for the Pokemon Center. Tristen didn’t really comment on the rain so much, still kind of racking his brain over the sudden anomaly, not really bothered by it all that much himself. He’s been through worse. Though now he was having to put in a bit extra effort now, his clothes now absorbing the rain like a sponge. Close by to Matteo, he would make it to the Pokemon Center’s canopy and ended up close by. He didn’t have much to say to the nurse, only because he was trying to catch his breath now. The shutters would then come down by the staff working this outpost, feeling only a little relieved that they were out of the weather.
Tristen would pull off his jacket, and trying to be courteous to the staff, instead allowed it to drop to the floor. Perhaps to Matteo’s astonishment, with a outright thud instead of a wet flop, its weight being made apparent, something he hadn’t let on to the Growlithe hybrid as of yet. “Man, if I thought this was going to happen, I would have just stayed at school…what happened?” He said as he walked to the plexiglass windows to see if he couldn’t get a view as to what was going on outside.

Tristen would see nothing but pouring rain and the occasional flash of lightning. The storm clouds above blocked out so much of the midday sun that it looked like night time as well. The winds would cause the metal shutters to vibrate slightly and moan, the barriers remaining firm and yet protesting. This was a really bad storm.
"How long do you think this is going to last?" Matteo asked as he walked up to Tristen's side and also tried to see anything out of the window. "Geez, it's dark out there too." The other boy commented.
"This is 92.1 FM the Sunflora blooming with a breaking weather update!" The Pokemon Center's radio began to blare, the Nurse Joy and PokeMart clerk standing around it as they listened in. "An unusual storm cell has been spotted in Area Five of South Provice, having suddenly appeared and quickly moved in from the Paldaean Sea and making landfall directly over the Secluded Beach. Local meteorologists are baffled by these storm's sudden appearance, speed and its strength relative to its small size. It is predicted the anomalous storm will die out quickly after making landfall due in part to its small size but meteorologists are still uncertain at this time. It is recommended that people avoid the Secluded Beach and surrounding area and if you are there to take immediate shelter. Be sure to keep tuned into 92.1 FM the Sunflora for-" The radio station would just go to commercial after that point.
Matteo would listen to the broadcast, c**k his head in confusion and then turn to Tristen. "Ever heard of randomly appearing tiny storm that moves unusually quick?" He inquired with the boy, not expecting an actual answer.

Tristen merely shook his head. “Not…really. Nothing other than stories of some Legendary Pokémon able to do that. Even so, I haven’t heard of any Legendary Pokémon just doing anything like this just because they could. Legendary Pokémon that I have known usually kept their power in check and not affect anything because they know their power can cause a lot of damage.” Tristen said, staring in confusion, unable to see much of anything as he tried to look out. He once again shook his head, not really wanting to believe that a spontaneous legendary Pokémon occurrence was right here unfolding just out of the blue with no warning. “This seems too random. But…honestly, I got no other ideas.” Tristen tried to think back to those stories that he read thanks to Freth pressing to get his reading comprehension better. Those fables and history lessons that came off boring at first, but after some coaxing and guidance out of Freth, showed that history in and of itself could be an adventure just as grand as any mission Snagem would have. Granted, she didn’t go insane about it like Ms. Raifort apparently did, knowing that there are some lands not to be traversed, a lesson she had long since learned. One story did come to mind, however, which did fit the bill as to what they were dealing with, but still didn’t account for why.
A legendary creature that travels the skies, that his very presence summons lightning. A creature, constantly at odds with a windy counterpart on worse days, and a third to stop the conflict between them. Tristen grimaced at the thought, and hoped that was not the case. Even as strong of a trainer, never mind a hybrid, as he was, he wasn’t set to fight anything like that. Even if he had the strongest of his entourage available to him, it’d take everything to quell this Pokémon if it was whom he was thinking of, and even then, it'd still probably wouldn't be enough. And no doubt Matteo was going to be an issue, wanting to be part of the action as he so desperately craved to do upon learning a good deal of Tristen’s history. Listening to the weather report over the radio did not exactly quell his thoughts on the situation either; not even the meteologists having any idea as to what the story this storm out of the blue is. He had to agree, this storm built up far too fast, too soon. There was basically next to no lead up for it.
Tristen would walk back over towards his jacket and his pack and started digging around in his pack to take out his SNAG. Something bothered him about the entire situation and he wanted his mind at ease; that hope that this was a storm that he could just ride out behind the metal shutters of the Pokémon center canopy. He tried to see if he could get a signal out through this weather, trying to contact GRAY. He needed to assess his options, if he could.

Perhaps to Tristen's surprise the SNAG had a decent signal, the storm apparently just having a mild effect on the device. In fact several seconds after he picked it up a familiar voice would begin to speak to him through it...from within it? Depends on how you viewed GRAY. "Getting a bit of rain out there, huh? Sounds like some thunder too, walk out into a field put the SNAG up in the air so I can hear it better through the microphone. You can take a couple of bolts of lightning, right?" GRAY said in his typical smarmy flippant tone. Forutnately though the AI wouldn't linger on that for long and decided to get serious. "So, what did you need? Please tell me isn't actually for the weather report because as far as I can tell you are suppose to have clear skies. Did someone call a Rain Dance or something? I don't think Politoed are native to Paldea either..." GRAY mused.

Tristen’s mouth quirked in annoyance, taking a glance at Matteo nearby because he was probably going to be asking questions about what he was doing, then looked back down at the SNAG. The AI who was in his feels earlier this week and probably found joy, if only briefly, because of the examination of a obsoleted Rotomphone, was now back on his digital crap. The Manectric hybrid teen wasn’t all that surprised, but he wasn’t going to really say too much on it. “No, GRAY. But whatever it is, I don’t think it is natural. We were supposed to have clear skies and the only thing out of the ordinary was supposed to be an Arrocuda hatching season event. The storm literally came out of nowhere. I’m not asking for a weather report; I can see at least that much as to what’s going on. I’m trying to see if by chance if you can see anything out of the ordinary that might have caused this because this storm came up far too fast to be normal. I have ideas in mind, but all of them are things I really hope that isn’t the case. I’m just trying to see if it’s something that I am going to need to ride out in this Pokémon Center or if it’s something that might need someone’s attention. Do you by chance have anything on the matter? Some sort of clue?” Tristen said.

"Anything out of the ordinary? Nothing based off my passive readings indicate anything abnormal but let me see what I can find with a deep scan. I'll perform a sweeping scan around your area, see if I can't detect any abnormal or otherwise notable energy signatures. This will probably take a couple of minutes so bear with me. Also, you may want to charge your SNAG after this." With that GRAY went silent, a progress bar showing up on the device's screen as GRAY began to perform a scan of the surrounding area, tapping into one of Paldea's satellites to do so. After two, almost three minutes, GRAY would speak once more.
"Scan complete." He began. "I don't expect I have the answers you're hoping for but I can tell you that within the storm is a particularly strong energy signature and yet it's not...dense, if I had to describe it. Doesn't appear like the energy signature of a single powerful Pokemon, rather like numerous Pokemon clustered together so close that it's impossible to see where one ends and the other begins, for example. It comes off as...huh, that's weird. Just as I'm speaking to you the signature sort of...faded in and out? It's here again but there was a second where it looks like it disappeared only to- it did it again. That's strange...this is a very strange energy signature. It's nothing like I've seen before, it's behaving very erratically and yet the storm of which it is at the center of is staying fairly stable. I'll be frank with you, Tristen, I don't know what to make of this yet." The AI admitted, not exactly helping Tristen's concern about the situation.
"I can tell you the eye of the storm is about to be right on top of you so whatever that energy signature is will be on top of you as well. It's path appears fairly stable so make of that what you will. My suggestion to you is to remain put, don't go looking for trouble and stay safe. Maybe it will just pass over harmlessly." GRAY suggested.

Tristen would wait around, taking a deep breath. As Tristen waited on the scan, he looked out the window on the shutter again, trying to see anything, but it was tough to see when the rain practically bombarded the window, obscuring everything. Tristen remained calm throughout all of it, knowing that he’s been through worse, but he wasn’t sure what Matteo, never mind the Pokémon Center attendants, were thinking. If it was anything rough, it was probably going to be on him to make sure they stayed okay. He walked away from the window, picking his jacket off the ground once again, giving it a hard flick to shake some of the water out of it, grimacing over it. It was the one thing that he did sort of hate about it; just how it weighed a ton when it got soaked, as if it didn’t already weigh a lot as is.
When GRAY spoke back up, he made his way over to his SNAG and listened in. So it wasn’t some legendary that he could figure. Though…what’s odd is that how this apparent energy signature was just blipping out of existance and back again, which doesn’t make any sense. It made his own personal legendary Pokémon theory pretty moot now, which bothered Tristen more. He was left to wonder what was going on just outside these shutters now because this wasn’t giving Tristen any idea as to what bunch of Pokémon could even make GRAY confused. Tristen sighed. “Alright, we’ll do that. If you got any other ideas GRAY, let me know, okay? Thanks.” Tristen said, ending the transmission there. “So much for that idea…” Tristen said. “I guess we’ll wait it out, though who knows how long that’s going to be…not the day I expected to have today. Almost like the world now doesn't want me learning Agility...ugh.” Tristen said to Matteo as he made his way back to the window for the moment.

Matteo would frown at Tristen and then look back out at the rain, watching as it came down hard and relentless, the flashes of lightning illuminate the rain enough to see just how heavy it really was. Sighing he turned back to Tristen. "Eh, there is still plenty of time, right?" He said with a weak smile before turning back towards the Pokemon Center proper, seeing the nurse had put out some folding chairs on the other side of the counter for them to sit on. Thanking the woman he sat down and expected Tristen to as well. After the other boy was seated Matteo would speak again.
"You've encountered legendary Pokemon before, right? Along with the rest of your friends." Matteo asked as he looked up at the canopy, paying special attention to all the awful sounds of the storm he was hearing, the sound of the rain falling on the roof, the wind causing the shutters to shake, and of course the sound of the horrendous thunder that may his sensitive ears ring. "They don't just attack for no reason, right? I mean, I always heard they preferred to stay away and keep to themselves, that's why they are so rare." He asked, it clear the boy was worried about this and was thinking similar thoughts to what Tristen was earlier. "Not that this is a Pokemon's doing or anything but...you know, you hear stories as a kid. Like the one from Johto and the other two."

Tristen shook his head. “There’s several known to hang around Jhoto…but I know your meaning.” Tristen said. He would walk over and have a sit. It was all they could do at this point. “But yea, I’ve had run ins with Legendary Pokémon. Though really, Legendary Pokémon are kinda no different than regular ones, really, when you really get to know them. All that separates them from any other kind is just their power. That’s it. Power that may have some influence in nature, maybe. That kind of power some people treat them as gods in some cases because of it. But imagine, something like a Darkrai, something in stories talked like it’s an outright monster, haunting people’s dreams and stuff, and while tough, still able to be caught in a Pokeball.” Tristen said, kind of laughing at the thought of that. “Though its in that power that they need to be given a wide berth. And while they do keep to themselves, they still need to live like any other Pokémon, instead of hide out in some cave or something. It’s their world too just as much as it is ours. It’s why that Blizz said one time that it’s rare to find legendaries, rarer to capture them, even rarer still to have any sort of relationship with them. Though he says that, and he himself has a Articuno that he keeps around. Though, that one is a bit of a special case.”
Tristen thought back for a moment. “Articuno was the first Legendary Pokémon I met before I knew Legendary Pokémon were well…legendary. Cera also, actually. A Mew that hangs out around the headquarters, who…well, she’s like a daughter to one of the other Snagem members, Sol. By extention, a sister to Sol’s son, also a Snagem, named Aden. I didn’t think anything of it at the time; Articuno wasn’t…well, still isn’t that much of a fighter. Maybe Blizz can tell you that story sometime if you two meet again. And Cera, while she can fight too, she does have Pokémon that does help her out, kinda like how Pokémon Rangers get Pokémon to fight. It wasn’t until a trip to the Unova region until I started to find out what a Legendary was about. I was still an Electrike hybrid, well before I evolved. Like…years before. I hadn’t been with Blizz for too long after he adopted me. I hadn’t even gotten Dragonite yet. I barely had my Flash attack down. Heck, I only had…” he paused for a minute, trying to think back, making sure he was saying right, counting his fingers. Natu, Eevee, Castform. Mawile didn’t come into his life until he found himself in that cave. He nodded to himself in silence. “…three Pokémon, none of them evolved. Freth thought it was good for Blizz to get me out to start getting out there in the world more. Blizz and I entered a contest at the Challenger’s Cave in the northern part of the Unova region. In hindsight, I probably had no reason to be there; too much too soon and stuff. No one realized, neither Blizz, Me, or any other competitor or the people that held the contest that the legendary Cobalion was in that cave and it didn’t care about anyone being in there. Blizz and I ended up fighting Cobalion at least twice that night. But with what we had, we could only fight to defend ourselves. Cobalion was way too powerful otherwise. We managed to make it back off; I gave him the biggest shock that I could that he couldn’t run away from because of electrical paralysis that Blizz gave him with his Rotom and me managing to trap him in a shallow underground pond. I hit that pool of water with him and gave the biggest Spark attack I could at the time, electrocuting it with along with Blizz’s Rotom powering me up because of my Lightning Rod ability. First legendary I ever found hostile.”
“I’ve had dealt with others since that one. Sevii Islands had a Lugia that Blizz and I had to help save. Then there was Black City…probably the scariest battle ever overall, not just because of Zygarde, the legendary involved there, but what it amounted to. At the same time as Zygarde, Ein either found or created a Mewtwo, and had it subjected to the Shadow virus, and we’re talking about a Legendary Pokémon who is basically no one’s friend on a good day…I never personally had to deal with that one, but a lot of the other Snagems did. That one wasn’t great. But then there was Hoopa…which was…weird. I guess…to answer your question, it just depends. Some will just mind their own business, others…might just have their own agenda. Some…might just influence nature just by being around to no fault of their own. Others you might never know exist. At the end of the day, it’s just best to leave them be unless you know what you’re doing. Let them go about their day unless they pose a clear and present danger. Like a Kyogre just showing up just off the coast bringing torrential downpour that threatens to flood the world like some stories says it can do.” Tristen said, waving his hand in a matter-of-fact gesture towards the shutter. “They’re just out to live just like you and I do. You’re…asking because you’re thinking maybe a Legendary Pokémon brought a storm to our outing, didn’t you? I can’t blame you if you did; I thought maybe the same thing.”

Matteo listened to Tristen's tale, hanging onto every word just like the last time the other boy had told him some of his history and the things he has been through. They all sounded so fantastical, unbelievable even, and if they were said by any other student Matteo would take them for a liar however by now he knew not to doubt Tristen. The boy, his friend, was no liar, after all the time they spent together, talking and just hanging out he had come to learn that telling untruths was not something Tristen did. Also the entire incident of the mushroom that played out in front of him certainly helped him to trust Tristen.
Once Tristen was done Matteo said there in silence, staring at the boy as he tried his best to digest everything he was just told, only the sound of thunder breaking through the silence between them. The other boy would speak again once he found his words several seconds later. "Wow...I mean...after meeting your dad I figured you had encountered legendary Pokemon before but never that...many...wow..." He managed to get out, going silent again before another clap of thunder snapped him back to reality, the boy remaining silent for awhile longer but now focusing on the sound before turning his attention back to Tristen.
"Yeah...that's what I was asking..." Matteo finally answered as he stared off, as if waiting for something. Boom! There it was, another thunderclap. "Hm...hey, tell me a little more about the one you and your dad encountered in a cave, the Co-lion thingy...you think it only attacked because you were in its home? Did it chase you guys after you left or what? And what did it look like?" What was this sudden interest in Cobalion? Especially after all the other legendary Pokemon Tristen spoke of, why focus on that one?
Boom!
"...thunderclaps are getting further apart..." Matteo pointed out before Tristen had time to answer.

Tristen looked up towards the canopy above them, his mouth quirked in annoyance, not taking kind to be interrupted that much by whatever force of nature decided to ruin the outing between friends. At the least it could do was allow them to have a decent conversation with each other. He then looked back towards Matteo. “Cobalion?” Tristen asked after the boom. “Well, it was a tall Pokémon, four legged, had feet kinda like hooves, probably as big as you would see on a Mudsdale, maybe bigger than one too thinking about it by a little bit. A lot of blue…fur I think? It looked like fur that I can remember. I do remember it having a serious look on his face…or at least when we found it. Horns that were thin; horns that you wouldn’t think that would do anything, but…they certainly could. Could put out energy like it swung massive swords, cleaving rock like butter. Steel type Pokémon if I remember right and…probably had something to make it super strong all of a sudden.” It was vague at this point to Tristen, being so far gone now to remember the exact details, only the massive impact it had on his life. “I don’t know, I had attacked him at that point, trying to defend myself since Cobalion came after us. I didn’t know what else to do, I was a lot younger then, nowhere near experienced as I am now. I remember Blizz freaking out over a massive spike in his pressure. Maybe he had Anger Point or something. Would make sense considering.” Tristen mused, either not remembering or knowing that Cobalion’s sudden burst of strength came from it being Justified, triggered by a Sucker Punch attack from his Mawile in Tristen’s defense.
“As for why it was there…well…we could only guess why he came after the two of us or threatened the competitors. For that matter, we could only guess why it was there to begin with. Usually that cavern and the surrounding area usually had a related legendary by the name of Terrakion according to some stories around those parts according to Freth and someone else that we met in that cavern. And really? Even then, no one really could really imagine anything major like that to be down there at all. Maybe your Swoobat or stuff like that for the region, not some angry territorial legendary Pokémon. No one really goes in ready for that, never mind expecting it. We certainly weren’t.” Tristen said. “Maybe it was holding down the fort and all the competitors, me and Blizz included, were intruders? Maybe someone disturbed something else that Cobalion was trying to look over? Who knows?”
Tristen thought for only a brief second as he spoke to Matteo; something that did bubble to the surface. “Actually…I take that back…I think I remember someone mentioning about Cobalion being prejudiced against people in general. Both human and hybrids.” Tristen said. “Cobalion and the related legendary I mentioned? There were three in all for them. Something happened a long time ago that made them disgusted with people. ‘Sins of the father’ stuff at this point, I think.” Tristen said, shaking his head. “Kinda sad. Being mad at people for centuries, after all this time. Probably didn’t help moods getting shocked into submission by a kid and a Rotom.”

"That doesn't sound like it..." Matteo mumbled to himself, under his breath as Tristen spoke, responding to the description of Cobalion as his attention drifted elsewhere briefly in that moment. Focusing back on Tristen fully he listened to the rest of Tristen's answer and the history that came with it. It wasn't until Tristen mentioned the part about Cobalion possibly being prejudice did Matteo show visible emotion again as his eyes went large for a moment before he gave a grimace. Once Tristen was done he gave his own thoughts. "A Pokemon being prejudice against people? Huh, that's...different. I never thought that Pokemon might be just as prejudice as people can be. I mean, have you seen how bigoted they can be in Kalos? Ever heard of La Ruche? Geez...I guess that also just shows how intelligent and complex Pokemon are. We aren't all that different from them...huh..." Boy did Tristen know that all too well. The revelation though appeared to be a shock to the boy as he looked at the ground, thinking about this. "My grandpa used to claim he encountered a legendary Pokemon when he was a boy alongside his dad, said it was responsible for his father's passing in a rock slide, my great grandpa that is. I don't know if it's true or not but my grandpa used it as an excuse for being against Pokemon being inside cities, said they were bad luck. My grandma dismissed it as just old paranoia against Pokemon passed down by the generations. Kind of weird for a hybrid to be like that though, huh? I might understand the plain humans but a hybrid? Weird." He bemused.
Boom!
"...I think the storm is moving away from us, the time being thunderclaps is getting longer and longer and does it sound like the rain isn't coming down as hard? Listen..." Matteo pointed out, then going quiet as he tried to listen to the storm. It was, the rain wasn't hitting the canopy as violently as it was before. Was the storm just moving on or was it dying down? If it was moving inland what did that mean for any town in its path?

Matteo’s reaction didn’t escape Tristen’s notice, curious as to what got him so invested in this tale all of a sudden. If it had been his usual enthrallment to Tristen’s adventures under the Snagem banner, it would have maybe been one thing. But something about Tristen’s tale hit home to Matteo for some reason. Like maybe he was trying to figure some sort of mystery himself. Though considering the time frame Matteo described, there was perhaps no telling at this point. Tales that had been passed down, with no guarantee whatsoever that it was going to be a accurate depiction; that for as all anyone could know, it was a freak occurrence to the fate of his great-grandfather. Not that Tristen want to claim that, since he had tact, but there was at least a chance.
Though one thing also Tristen started to realize is just Matteo’s ever-expanding worldview as time goes on hanging out with Tristen, deepening Matteo’s understanding to just the Pokémon world itself and such. While recognizing such notions was effectively doing so any day ending in ‘Y’ for the Manectric hybrid at that point, it was a little intriguing that Matteo knew no such thing. And chances are? Maybe many others for that matter. No matter how young or old they were. That a Pokémon could harbor a legitimate grudge in such a fashion? Cast blame those who follow as well? It was a bit surreal, but it was just as he told Matteo one day before: Pokémon were a fair bit like people, for all intents. They’re generally smarter than what one would give them credit for. And Legendary Pokémon? Perhaps the top of the order on that one.
Tristen looked up once again towards the canopy as if he could visualize the rain coming down. Matteo was right, it was in fact getting a bit quieter now. No where near the deluge it was. Tristen stood up, still carrying his jacket as opposed to wearing it for the time being, and started to walk off towards one of the windows on the shutters. Since the rain wasn’t bombarding the shutter anymore, he tried to see just how much it was getting close to clearing up. At least over here at this beach. A storm that fierce couldn’t possibly be dying out that quickly. In fact, it felt a little like he just started getting settled good, perhaps maybe a little content to regale Matteo in the adventures he liked hearing, and the lessons Tristen learned (some being the hard way) as he grew up to this point, expecting the rain to go on for a considerable while longer. This storm was a little too fast moving for the intensity that it seemed to have, he felt. A feeling nagged at him. But it wasn’t something he was going to act on. GRAY recommended to him to sit tight until this was over and that was what he was going to do. “Maybe we’ll be out of here soon, but probably still going to be stuck here until the storm is off the radar.” Tristen said to Matteo

"Maybe. I sure would like to get out of here and would much rather not get soaking wet while doing so. Getting dry is easy for us Growlithe hybrids but man is it tedious to get your fur to lay down correctly again. I'd much rather not walk around like a giant fluff ball for the rest of the day." Matteo commented, partially joking.
The boys would spend about another hour at the Pokemon Center, just chatting about anything and everything ranging from fur car to their hybrid abilities and even retelling a story about the time his cousin caught Pokerus and burned down an armchair with a fart. While the circumstances that put them there were less than ideal it was a nice moment for the two to just sit down and talk with no other distractions, the nurse and clerk leaving the two to their own devices.
"Hey guys, we got the all clear." Nurse Joy called out to them at some point in the middle of their conversation, Matteo perking up, his head almost spinning around to look at the woman. "We'll be raising the shutters here soon." She followed up, Matteo giving her a thumb's up before turning back to Matteo.
"Finally! Ugh! I was feel so cramped in here. If the ground wasn't soggy from the storm I'd suggest we run back to the academy just for the exercise. Today is suppose to be one of the few days I get where I don't have to stay still for so long!" Matteo commented, partially complaining as he stood up and began to stretch. As he did the shutters would begin to move, slowly rising up and disappearing into the canopy above them to reveal the beach, the skies clear as they were before without a cloud in the sky. While the sky lacked evidence of a storm the ground didn't as the sand was soaked far away from the ocean where it might normally be dry outside of high tide and there was plenty of debris such as branches, rocks and leaves thrown down from the cliff above by the storm. The storm had past.
"Whoa, hear that?" Matteo asked as he stepped out from underneath the canopy, cupping his ear as if to hear something. "Silence. This beach normally has at least a couple of Wattrel squawking at any given moment. All the Pokemon are gone it looks like."
