Asher also missed those simple days, but they were far gone. "I know, I know," he murmured into his ear. Perhaps the bright side was that he now knew Raki was alive and he had a grandfather, but it probably meant nothing to Leo. "At least we're still together. Let's be thankful for that."

Leo gave a soft and shaky sigh. "Yeah.....thankful." he said softly as his mind forced him to fall asleep from exhaustion. It would be a rough morning waking up from such a stressful night. The next morning Leo sat up and tried to open his eyes but something was keeping them shut. He placed a hand against one of his eyes and felt that they were practically glued shut with the disgusting mucous from his tears the night before. Leo grumbled, not even bothering to see if Asher was beside him or awake, and made his way into the bathroom, running into the wall right next to the hall which led to the bathroom before proceeding.

Over the night, Asher had the strangest dream. In it, he was with Leo, who appeared much happier than he was before, and they were holding hands in such a way as if they were lovers. Unable to control his body, Asher noticed his face got closer to his brother's and his free hand reached out to cup his cheek.
That was when he woke up. Staring at the ceiling, an empty spot beside him, he found himself frozen. What was with that dream? Then he remembered Leo's unusual confession at the hospital and blushed a little. It reminded him that Leo was suffering from unrequited love, and it made Asher feel bad that he was the cause of his brother's suffering.
"What can I do?" he asked himself. Pretending was out of the question, because it would only hurt in the end, but he couldn't force himself to return Leo's feelings. It frustrated him to no end. He had to wonder... Since he was always so loving towards Leo, was it cruel? Was it cruel to embrace him and stay close to him as he was? Was it cruel to continue loving him as a brother when it might only remind Leo that it wasn't going to change?

Leo delicately cleaned his eyes and soon enough was able to open them with ease. He gave a soft sigh and made his way out of the bathroom, once again, hitting the corner right next to the hallway that led to the bedroom. Leo grumbled and suppressed the urge to punch the wall as he made his way out of the bathroom. He thought he heard something rustling in the room but wasn't sure. "Are you awake?" he called softly.

Seeing Leo at the door, Asher decided to leave his troubles for another day. "Yeah, I'm awake," he answered. "You feeling any better, Leo?" He didn't see any signs of tears, though it looked as if his brother had recently washed them off anyways.

Leo nodded a bit. "Yeah....but I could use some coffee." he said tiredly, sitting next to Asher on the bed and trying to wake himself up. "You want to see if they made coffee upstairs?" he asked softly, trying to put on a smile but his exhaustion was kind of defeating it.

"Sure," was Asher's short reply, standing and getting ready to lead his brother. He felt like he wanted to say something. Maybe mention that odd dream he had, but would it make his brother happy? It might either incite hope, though it could easily be false. He didn't want to accidentally lead him on like that. On the other hand, wasn't their relationship built on mutual trust? It wouldn't be fair for the elder to keep secrets when he kept insisting his brother to tell him everything.

Leo walked up the stairs slowly, he hated moving so early in the morning and the stairs were the worst. As they approached the top of the stairs Leo could smell coffee and smiled. "I think they made coffee after all." he said softly, the one drink in the world he loved this early in the morning. "Are you okay?" he asked curiously, noticing his quiet brother.

Asher just smiled at Leo. "Well..." What could he say? He needed to be truthful to his brother, but how could he put it into words? "I had a weird dream last night and I can't shake it off," he said. He expected Leo to ask about it, so what should he say then? He dreamed that they were a couple? First off, he had called it weird, so it may hurt his brother's feelings. Second, it might bring up false hope and he didn't want to break his heart in the end.

"oh...I hate those kinds of dreams where they make you think too much." he said softly as they walked into the kitchen. Leo stood at the counter and listened to Asher make them both a cup of coffee. "You want to talk about it? Helps me sometimes."

Asher poured coffee and added some cream for himself. "How much cream do you want?" he asked, leaving Leo's cup alone until he got an answer. "Not sure what to say about the dream. It's just... How do I say this?" He didn't want to hurt Leo's feelings. "First, answer this question: What did it feel like when you... when you kissed me back at the hospital?"

Leo was thrown off of coffee with Asher's question. He had to think about it for a moment, it seemed like it was so long ago since that happened. He was so shocked to find himself thrown off of the bed when he kissed Asher that he didn't really have much time to evaluate how he felt about it. "I....I don't know..." he started. "I guess...I was kind of happy. Even now when I think about it....you have always been there for me, even when you didn't have to be. " Leo took a long pause and stared at the floor. "I guess....I guess I still don't know." How would anyone know if they were in love with someone? All he knew was that he didn't dislike kissing Asher.

When Asher thought about it, he didn't hate when Leo kissed him. It was shocking, yes, but he didn't remember it being bad. His mind started nagging at him to try it again. Maybe it would be different. Did he really want to do it? Was it going to give him some closure? Would Leo be happy? Abandoning the coffee cups, Asher approached Leo once again and gently held his chin. "Let's find out how it really feels," he said before he pressed their lips together.

Leo felt like his heart had stopped beating, he knew he had stopped breathing. He wasn't even sure it was really happening but here they were in the kitchen. When Asher broke the kiss, Leo's face and chest turned beet red as he covered his mouth, unsure of what to feel. When Leo could feel his heart once again, it felt like it was going to jump out of his chest and tap dance. His stomach had felt like something was wiggling in it. So much going on at once that he couldn't focus on just what his brain was telling him.

Asher's own heart was beating crazily, in a mixture of horror at what he had done, desire to do it again, and that tiny little feeling that was only one of many variations of a most beloved emotion. Much to his surprise, or he might have expected it, he actually liked it. Maybe they should do this more often... But weren't they brothers? It was wrong, but it felt so right. What a cliche thought...
Seeing Leo's tomato of a face, Asher had to wonder what he was thinking. His reaction was just so cute. "Well?"
