No just on resurection orb biggrin lol i guess that doesn't count but with level 2 disruption field power the ork guns barely effect necrons and chaos are easy compared to a necron lord with tomb pariahs

hehehe, I did some widespread flayed one farming today. It was my first online battle, but it turned out that the guy I was facing wasnt anything special so I decided to just play around with him. I amassed an army of nothing more (infantry wise) than 11 squads of flayed ones. As his army marched toward my base I spawned all of them inside his, I wish I could have seen the look on his face.

I suffered my first defeat in the campaign yesterday...it was tragic. It was on the territory that allows you to build forwards bases, where you have to destroy a certain number of buildings while you get a lame force to take out hordes of Orks. Well, as the necrons I get two monoliths, all of my honor gaurd, and then some assorted units included a pariah squad, two wraiths, 2 or 3 destroyers, and two flayed ones. So I work my way down on side of the map, and when I near one of the bases, 5 looted lemans pop up over a ridge and just started blowing the s**t out of my monoliths. I could get to the lemans because a damn stampede of greenskin assholes came charging up and started hacking away at everything. I put up with this for an hour of nonstop s**t, working immortals around to destroy the lemans, but appearently they had like 4 difference mek factories and pumped out more and more. With all the infantry slain on the ground I ressied them only to get blown to bits almost immediatly by a squiggoth and a continuous flow of looted lemans. I was in the process of retreating my monoliths to heal when another huge army comes from the other direction and catches me with my pants around my ankles.
What a shame

Ah the old two pronged leman attack. The only way to stop it is to throw your Lord and all your necrons at one attack and then use your liths to stave off the other one long enough to wipe out the first and come to the rescue.

It was more than a two pronged lemun attack, there are 3 AI's on that map throwing nobz, armored nobz, flash gitz, and cannon fodder (the flash gitz where saying "dance humies! dance!" every ******** 2 seconds which drove me the send my lord into the bunch of the and ******** them up) So I devoted several units to each defence, I was purely overwhelmed, It was incredible. Although, I saw through a humongo battle with more of my forces left, so I advanced, but I only got about 5 feet when an even bigger attack party screwed me.

I think i know the level your on about and i had very little trouble with it just teleport liths into the middle of base and then used my forces to fight anything that was on the outside of the valleys.

what do you mean?
I do notice that they miss alot, but that is probably to make up for their intense fire power.

no, they hit a lot, it's just that everything they shoot at doesn['t die as much as I'm led to believe they should do.

Are you sure? Are you using them in large numbers with pathfinders? The Markerlight is killer XD!
When I use them everything dies so quickly, its kinda no fun actually o_0..
Has anyone else seen a kill move the Pariah's do? Its when they pin you to the ground and discintigrate your head, my Pariah's did it on a Chaos Sorcerer and at first I thought it was a glitch or something but ive never seen that kill move before and his head was gone..and not in a glitchy way either...

Yeah, I noticed that when he did it to a sorcerer too! I was laughing, I zoomed in and his face was a nasty mess.

I notice in DC, there is actually gore on the ground now...

Oh man...I was playing this map, well actually, the campaign as the Tau. I actually just got DC last week, so I was trying it (the campaign) out.

I started off fairly well. I was goign against Eldar, so i figured it wouldn't be too hard, as I was on normal difficulty. So, after a while im pretty expanded, I have all 4 relics on the map and my little infantry army is all nice and fortified on top of a hill, when some squads of their infantry start appearing. My squads take on the first 2, but after it becomes apparent there are tons more in the fog of war, I take off back to my base and begin producing broadsides.

an hour later, I've been pushed back to a canyon that opens into my base. I have 5 broadside teams and 2 hammerheads. 1 team is on the hill and the other 4 are entrenched (well, all 5 were entrenched) behind my hammerheads. I had held back a constant wave of enemy eldar since my infantry were attacked, and even though I was holding up, I was slowly being pushed back. However, there were so many corpses of eldar my computer was starting to slow down. Eventually, I gave up. After trying to launch 2 assaults and having them fail horribly, and another half an hour of sitting and watching rail guns vs. Eldar weaponry, my eyes begaun to hurt. This, mind you, isn't a brag, just a recollection.

I think this says something about the Tau's defensive capabilities, despite the lack of being able to construct static turrets to my knowledge. What do you guys think?

My thoughts personally? The Tau suck a**.

Eldar troopers, I feel, are the weakest in the game. They need Fire Prisms and Wraithlords to launch a half successful assault on an entrenched defence.

Sure, Tau can give off hella fire power and are damned annoying at killing builders from where you can't see them, but.. I think they're just crap.

Personally I'm a Necron or Marine player. I cheese, and there's no way Tau have a chance of defending against Necron or Marine cheesing. Phasing lords with flayed ones and drop-pod dreads are not Tau's friend. Not to mention the fact they just have to get into assault to garuntee you a victory against them.

But I think you did good anyway, I just can't do Tau, and I'd have probably lost WAY before you gave up.
