Victoria Dogwood had just empted the contents of her suitcase into the nearest unoccupied bedroom of the Brotherhood lair. Although it wasn't nearly as nice as her room back in DC, the atmostphere was at least a change. Anything that was differant then having control freak bigots for parents was fine with her really. She sighed slightly as she shoved the suitcase into the tiny closet and looked around at the somewhat dank surroundings. Thinking that a few posters or a coat of paint would bring out some personality, she was innterupted by the grumbling of her stomach. Wincing slightly she remembered that she hadden't eaten for a few days because of all the drama.

She pulled her long coffee brown hair into a loose bun as she exited the bedroom and walked out into the hall. Stopping in the middle of the landing she rolled her eyes as she realised that she didn't exactly know weather if it was OK for her to be wandering around the lair unaccompioned. After all, she was, as far as she knew, the newest member and everyone might think she was a burgular or something. Speaking of buglars... Victoria's train of thought was interrupted by the loud crashing from down the hallway. Curiousity getting the best of her, she walked cautiosly toward the noise. She entered the rooma and saw that glass covered the floor and three other teens her age stood around with dagers in their eyes. Utterly confused, she cleared her throght cutely and said, "Um...is this a bad time to introduce myself?" She bit her lip, knowing they were probably thinking she's a complete loser.

"The beach? The sun, the sand, the bare skins and swimsuits?" said Sasha, in awe. "And a good way to show off my fabulous figure? So um... let's just forget the argument and to soak in the sun," she said over Noko's shoulder, trying to make friends.

"Oh, don't worry, I'll be more attentive on one particular guy. Two, I'll also try to help out with the family thing between those two. And yes, and your rules too. Just let me go flaunt my body with my bikini, please?" She asked.

"By the way, what are the rules?"

Wanda ignored the fight between Noko and the new girl. She was about to look down at Pietro when...

"Um...is this a bad time to introduce myself?"

The only answer she could give the girl was a glaring look with the sign "Don't mess with me right now" glowing abover her head.

Noko headed back in the house managing to run into the new girl. " what is with all these new people" she mused outloud looking around the house for a for rent sign. " Let me guess you met wanda. " she said stopping at the bottom of the stairs. " Hey John come here a moment. " she yelled up the stairs.

Rage smiled as he knew he had his opponent at his mercy. He smiled even wider when he felt her blood wash over his hand, mixing with his own. There was no greater badge of honor than wearing an opponent's blood. "I'm surprised to see you still alive, Ms. Chayse," he said as he twisted the blade in her side. She did not scream, much to his surprise. Unfortunately for her, the more his head ached, the more determined he was to annihilate her and anyone in his path. And his head felt as if it were stuck in a blender.

He had no one to thank but his old friend Emma for the migraine. She seemed rather intent in 'fixing' Jacen's mind. Although, she was quite used to doing so, she had done the same a few years ago when he went catatonic.

This is for your own good, Jacen, she said as she was nearly completed with her task, Trust me....

Sure enough, Jacen was quite pissed off now, and he drew his free hand back to cement his goal in place; the death of his opponent. In an instant, he fired up a massive orb of black energy in his palm and was about ready to fire it. And almost as soon as he was ready to unleash devestation, he felt something snap in his mind.

Rage screamed loudly. Loudly enough to send all the birds in the trees flying away for saftey. Instantly, his blade had dissipated and both him and Penance were lying on the ground, bleeding out. In his brain, he felt things unravelling and being put back into place. The more things unravelled, the more things were put into place. And as he lay there, there were visions of him mercilessly slaying mutants left and right.....

It was not even a full minute, but Jacen's eyes snapped open and he was fully awake.

"What.....," he said weakly, "Where...am......" As he looked around, he saw all the trampled underbrush, and various cuts in nearby trees. Then, he saw her. He felt the blood in his face immediately vanish and he got sick to his stomach. Even though he was just coming to, he knew what happened.

"MY GOD!!!," Jacen yelled as he scrambled to get to his friend's side, "Penance....." He was slowing down considerably due to the wounds he had incurred and the loss of blood. But maybe more so out of sheer horror at what he had done.

When he had actually gotten to her prone form, he gently scooped her up as he sat back on the ground. Her wounds were not life threatening, save one, and they were not healing up the way any of the wounds she'd ever gotten had.

".....What....what have I done.....?," he muttered to himself. Carefully, he brushed aside a stray strand of hair in her face, and noted that she was still breathing....barely.

"Evelyn.....," Jacen said, "Evie.....this is Jacen......please....if you can hear me.... open your eyes.....something.......anything......."

As he sat there, in his ever increasing sorrow, he actually felt a tear fall from his eye, not certain if his friend was going to live or die.

John looked at the girl standing next to Noko. "Hello." He said with a nod. Then he looked passed her to see the same girl he'd seen earlier. "Hey isn't that the girl at the coffeshop, that made Pietro piss Wanda off??" He asked
