"But she would have been young at the time," Earendil mused. "It can't hurt to ask anyways."

It seemed there were always questions to ask, always information to learn. Would their search for answers ever be over?

Earendil smiled gently and shrugged. "I'm not sure," he admitted. "perhaps we could wander around and get to know our way around for a bit ... we could tag along after someone ... or rest ... find somewhere to let Miyuki down so that she can just play ... it's up to you, really."

He was up for anything.

And so they found a room where they could just play with Miyuki, and Earendil spoiled her as usual, and tried teaching her to walk. It was an energetic afternoon, and a bit tiring, and by the time dinner was over, Earendil was ready to just sit down for a while and relax.

He and Lin were just walking down a corridor when Elros turned a corner and started towards them. The knight smiled at them both when he saw them.

Earendil smiled back, then looked down at Lin. "Think it's a good time to talk to him?" he asked quietly.

Earendil nodded and smiled at Elros again just as they were about to pass each other.

"Good evening, Sir Elros," he greeted him. "We were wondering if you had some time to talk ...?"

Elros smiled back at the prince, and then smiled even more widely down at Lin. "Indeed," he said warmly. "I am free for the night. Where would you like to talk?"

"Perhaps the sitting room?" Earendil suggested, since it seemed the most ideal. Sure, there was also the library, but it wasn't exactly baby proof ... and even if Miyuki was tired, that didn't mean that the thought of more adventure wouldn't give her extra energy.

As Elros knew the layout of the castle the best, it was he who led the way for them. As they started walking, he asked, "So how was your first day here? Did you enjoy yourselves?"

Earendil smiled back. "I know I did," he murmured. "Except when we first gave you that letter, that was a bit scary. Other than that it was nice."

Elros chuckled softly as they walked. "Well, the family has grown," he smiled. "It is remarkable, how short a time they have been ruling here as a true kingdom, and so much has been accomplished. As young as they are, they have grandchildren, and all of them are as sweet as Their Majesties."

"And upon getting to know them better, they all improve even more," Elros chuckled.

They arrived at the sitting room, which was otherwise empty, and Elros led them in taking a seat. He made himself comfortable and smiled at the others. "I would imagine that there must be many things that you wish to ask of me," he murmured.
