[Hissing in anger, Fang shot forward, teeth glinting in the moonlight. You're mine! she thought malisciously, slithering towards Mosstar. Raising up slowly, she lunged and dug her teeth into the dark leader's shoulder. She could see some of her pets around her, and she twitched her tail as a signal. Angel's eyes perked up and she joined in, digging her fangs into Mosstar's neck, hissing loudly]
|Second in Command: Silver|
[Silver snarled as she was flung away from the apprentice. She shook her head and quickly recovered. Eyes scanning the clearing, Silver selected her target and slithered forward, Talon following behind. She headed towards Ravenwing and Willowheart, grinning eagerly. No one would survive tonight. She turned to Talon, silver eyes questioning. He nodded and turned slightly, heading towards Ravenwing. Silver hissed and sprang towards Willowheart, biting her on the neck. The she-cat snarled in surprise and clawed frantically, trying to get Silver to release her grip. Talon's eyes narrowed, and he leapt for Ravenwing, digging his fangs into the tom's shoulder, wanting to watch the warrior die]

CHERRYPAW [Cherrypaw laughed as Silver slithered away. She felt so accomplished for making a snake give up a fight.]"Ha, next time I see your face you'll be dead in a heartbeat!"[The apprentice ran to help her leader, Mosstar, who was being attacked my numerous snakes. She quickly clamped her jaws tightly around Angel's tail, and yanked her off.]

[I growled angrily, quickly recovering from my shock of seeing a horde of beasts flow into the clearing upon the unsuspecting Clans. Unsheathing my claws, I flung myself into the fight, ripping and tearing where ever I found enemies. I recieved many wounds in the process. Snarling, I turned and spotted Lavenderstar, bleeding heavily. Yowling in fury, I bounded forward, pushing through the mob, trying to get to my precious leader, the one I loved and trusted so much. She was getting mauled by a fox. Eaglesoar and Starkcloud were both there, helping, but she was the one I held above everyone else. She needed my help. Snarling, I raised my paw and smacked the fox (Talon), right across his mangy muzzle, almost roaring in anger. Quick as lightning, I hit him again, claws sinking in deep. I reered back, then barreled into the fox, not wanting to get all the victory for myself, but just give Lavenderstar a chance to recover and stand back up. She needed this. I could feel my anger starting to take over once again, like that time in the camp when I nearly killed Brokensoul. Shuddering, I dug my claws into Talon, spitting and snarling.
Get up, Lavenderstar! GET UP!]

Ravenwing twisted his body to one side, but wasn't fast enough to avoid the snake's bite, though he was able to prevent it from going deep enough to inject a lethal amount of poison. Blood dripped from his shoulder as he limped away from the snake, his right front leg already starting to feel cold and numb.]
"Slithery worms, I'll crush all of you!"
[He snarled as he limped towards Silver, knocking Dawnpaw away clumsily in his limping stride. He pinned down Silver by the tail, then tried to bite down on her head while crushing her with his own body, trying to stop her from going for Willowheart.]

[My green eyes took in the fighting calmly, instincts kicking in. Pushing myself to my paws, I unsheathed my claws, opened my mouth, and lunged, unsure of where to go first. There was fighting everywhere, blood filling the air. I nearly gagged, a slight trace of fear coursing through me. This was real, and boy, was it shocking. The loyalties to my Clan ran so deep, I didn't even have to wonder where my paws were taking me. I bounded towards the eagles, leaping through the air. I landed on one of the stupid birds, digging my claws in, and trying to find skin somewhere beneath all the feathers with my teeth]
"STAY AWAY FROM MY CLAN!!!!" I shrieked angrily.
[The voice was constant in my head, telling me what to do, how to move, which part to bite.
C'mon little one, move to the left, grip harder, don't give up!
I dug my claws in deeper, willing myself to stay strong. This was my first fight. I didn't know if I could handle it]

[I'm pretty sure they're just snakes razz ]
[Silver snarled in fury, suddenly feeling herself being dragged away from her prey. Spitting in outrage, Silver raised her head, snapping at Ravenwing's muzzle]
"Wow, didn't think a pretty tom like you would sacrifice your own pelt for someone else" Silver hissed mockingly.
[Talon blinked and released Ravenwing, knowing Silver was fine. Turning, he spotted Dawnpaw and grinned, slithering forward]
"Hello little one, want to play a game?"
[Snarling, Talon shot forward, snapping at Dawnpaw, grazing her chest with his sharp fangs]

[Hissing, Angel turned around and bit down on Cherrypaw's foreleg. Quickly retracting her teeth, she slowly swayed from side to side, bright eyes entrancing. Swiftly, she shot forward again, snapping at Cherrypaw's muzzle, tail-tip twitching at the fun game]

Recoiling, I quickly surveyed the scene, remembering with a sickening jolt that Songpaw was here with the rest of the cats]
"SONGPAW!?"
[I could feel panic overcome me. My apprentice was here. Where was she! I searched frantically for her familar pelt. I felt as if I was being torn in two. I needed to stay, and help Ravenwing. But I also needed to go and find my apprentice, the one who I had claimed as my daughter. Where could she be? What if she was dead? No. She couldn't be]

[Ravenwing quickly drew his head back as Silver snapped at his muzzle, just in time not to get his handsome face ruined by a stupid snake. Although, she-cats these days seemed to dig scarred toms, but now was hardly the time to think about that. He rolled over onto his back, coiling the snake around himself and grasping its body with both front claws. Since the snake wasn't big enough to choke him, he wasn't worried. With a snarl, he tried to bite down just behind the snake's head to kill it.]

[My green eyes scanned the clearing once again, trying to spot Songpaw. Ravenwing could take care of himself, right? Songpaw didn't know what to do. Ravenwing did. She needed me. Sighing, I nodded once, eyes grim with determination. I took a step closer to the dark black tom, leaning towards him to brush my soft tail against his pelt, covered with specks of blood, the pelt he tried to hard to keep nice and clean]
"Don't fight too hard now, dear. I wouldn't want you to ruin your pretty self" I whispered softly.
[Which roughly translated to: Don't get yourself killed. I raised my head to meet his eyes, emerald gazing into emerald, allowing the contact to last for only the briefest of seconds, before I turned away, holding my head high, still bleeding heavily from my wounds. I was glad for once that Lightningstrike wasn't here. One less loved one I had to worry about. Panic soon washed over me, and I took off, bounding through the fray, trying to find my apprentice. Finally, I found her. I skidded to a stop, claws tearing into the ground]
"Songpaw! Songpaw, oh, Songpaw! Are you ok?!?"
[Then I was bent down, roughly nosing her, trying to find something wrong. I smelt blood and straighted up just as quick, snarling]

CHERRYPAW [Cherrypaw did not enjoy hissing, it made her feel mean. So instead, she growled at Angel, after the snake and bit into her foreleg. She dodged the attack on her muzzle, and quickly stomped her paw hard on the snake.]"Having any fun, you slimy demon?"[She picked up the snake with her jaws, and shook her head hard.]

[ Songpaw saw a glimpse of Willowheart. She ran over to her.
She forgot that Willowheart didn't know about the huge, painful scar close to her eye, trickling down her face. ]

[Spadestripe growled, fur fluffing up again.]
[They had recognized him. Just what she didn't want. Spadestripe kicked back into life, bolting towards the bird.]
"Bee-brained fox-hearted cowardly FIEND! I will not allow you to harm my son, you lowly piece of feathers and dung!"
[Smokepaw wriggled, eyes wide in the similar fear he experienced upon his and Lostkit's rescue attempt.]
He's gonna kill me! I'm never going to be an apprentice! Starclan, if you're there, HELP! Doveflight, hear me! I feel the pain now, help me not feel it again! please!
[But with every pathetic mewl requesting help, Smokepaw received no answer.]
[However, he felt it. He felt those almond eyes of the deceased queen and the one whose name he shared, Smokebreather, staring at him from the glowing sky with growing concern. He felt the spirit of his brother, shouting unheard words to him, begging his younger sibling to persevere with living. They were so close...yet too far away.]
