"Order" is such a misleading word. For us, it usually means PIZZA PARTY WOOHOO!

Coline's heard turned sharply towards the winged creature. She found it to be such a coincidence how she--who just happened to visit the Professor, from the looks of it--knew the boy. But then again she shouldn't be too surprised; their numbers, at least the ones forced to take refuge in the Isle, was only a small fraction of the Order's members during the war. It was highly likely for them to have met.

Her attention soon drifted from her to the Priestess and the Captain whose conversation had slowly escalated into an argument. She wasn't able to make much sense of the exchange; the shrill cries of the Priestess accompanied by the Captain's hostile tone... the blur that was her mind refused to process the words but instead started to morph the two into one very familiar voice; one she didn't want to hear. Needless to say it was giving her a headache.

"Please," she interjected, with a lot more authority in her voice than what was due to her, as she brought her hand up to massage her temple. "Let's not argue." She held that position for some time, rubbing her fingers against that fragile patch of skin soothingly until she was certain the gears in her head were starting to move properly again. "It's quite alright, Priestess. It's what I'm here for, after all."

"Let's see..." The recruit tilted her upward, eyes directed to the ceiling as if reading something from it. "The pit was about forty... maybe fifty meters deep, barely enough to fit two people in at a time. It doesn't lead to anywhere else, from what I've seen, and I didn't notice anything particularly strange about the walls. But..." she reached into his pocket, pulling out a strip of cloth from her pocket and held it out for everyone to see. "The color and the texture... this is from Bapp's jacket. I'm almost certain that it is; I've held it in my arms quite recently. Perhaps the winged lady will be able to confirm this?"

Coline's brow furrowed in frustration. There was something else about that pit that had been bothering her, but she quite couldn't put her finger on it... Straightening herself, she turned to her superiors. "In any case, I think from this it's safe to assume that he had been there for a certain amount of time."

Jessie and Lorika stopped arguing the moment of Coline's interjection. Lorika didn't even have time to finish her insult. The two mature, reasonable adults looked at each other.

Lorika weakened, of course, something of embarrassment and the cutting nature of his comments overtaking her. She hung her head, hugging herself. "Coline is right. We... we shouldn't be arguing. I apologise, Jessie. My behaviour was not appropriate."

Jessie didn't reply, his face still set in a mask. It remained that way throughout Coline's speech, tight-lipped and hardened, convincingly concealing the warm pride and affection that stirred as the girl took center stage.

"Well done," he murmured to her, and her alone, when her account was finished. He wasn't sure he quite managed to power the words with the emotion he'd intended - in fact, they sounded disappointingly flat and cold. Oh well - he'd have time to praise her later.

"I think our first course of action will be to investigate the scene of the accident again. I will go and see if there's anything I can discern, if Coline will show me the way..."

"But not today!"
he hastily added, glancing at the girl. Her agitation and fatigue - the massaging of her temples - had not gone unnoticed. "Coline needs her rest... and I assume personal responsibility for ensuring that this time, she obtains it."

Lorika raised an eyebrow, but refrained from making a comment. It wouldn't be wise to push the man she'd begun to consider as her friend any further. For a moment, a flutter of mourning warned her that she may have gone too far already. Well.. she'd deal with that later.

"If I may," she said, placing a hand on Panda's arm "Panda has brewed some amazing energy potions. They wake you right up - trust me, I know. I'm sure he'd be happy to donate just one more to us. That is, if Coline is willing..."

Jessie looked at her oddly; uneasily. He wasn't sure he trusted anything that that man brewed... but to say as much would not be a good idea. He wasn't stupid enough to directly pick an argument with a master wizard.

As the entire group looked around to see the newcomer, the reactions amongst the group were... mixed. Lorika's reaction, however, was by far the most severe.

She jumped backwards, her eyes wide, a hand clapped to her mouth.

Jessie, whose only reaction to the newcomer had been to raise an incredulous eyebrow, heard her start, and was the first to look back and recognise her horror.

"Lorika," he said loudly, stepping in front of her. In doing so, he managed to block her view of the doorway. "What is it? Who is this man?"

After a few seconds where her expression remained frozen, she blinked. Her face came back to life again - which may not have been a good thing, for it twisted from shock to pain, and then to sheer confusion.

Her eyes, sorrowful and blue, met his. "I... I... I'm fine... b-but no, no! I can't heal him," she whispered, breaking the gaze and shakily turning around. She made a little move as if to duck behind Panda, but then simply took a couple of steps forward to the back of the room.

"Panda," she continued, voice choked "Please, if you could... that healing potion? Give it to him. Let him be the first to test it. I... can't do anything for him right now."

Jessie and the wizard exchanged a worried glance. After a few moments, Panda moved to get the requested bottle from the cupboard... after which point the drow stepped in and took the bottle from him, delivering it to the door himself.

Jessie eyed the man beadily. What could have produced such a strong reaction from Lorika? Many things, certainly - but one thing leapt to his mind as he looked in the stranger's eyes.

Swooping forward, he thrust the bottle upon the man before taking hold of either side of the door frame - a movement which curiously mirrored a bat spreading its gigantic wings as he and his robes soon took up almost the entire bottom two thirds of the door.

"I know who you are," he hissed, so that only the man could hear "You assaulted the Priestess, did you not?"

Not waiting for an explanation or outcry, the Captain bore down on him, as malicious as anyone might have seen him yet. Of course, this was unseen by the people behind him. "If you think you can break in to our home and torment our Lady, you are sorely mistaken. If I ever see you within thirty feet of her again, I will see to it that you are removed, and that you never return... with your entrails intact, at least."

(( HOLD.

Okay, I know you havent done combat before so...

Only one skill may be used at a time.

DOn't worry, we'll work through this together!

Edit: Oh, and Reputation - the skill Jessie used just now - is a skill that give your rolls a deficit of 1 for the next four turns.

So at the end of your post you must put [Reputation: Roll -1]

AND - you do not edit your post, it is down to your foe to react to the change in circumstances ))

((Oh, I just added the -1 in already. And I only used one combat and one magick, does that not work?

(( Only one active skill may be used at a time. An active skill is any spell or skill that doesnt have a continuous effect. A passive skill has a continuous effect, and may be combined with an Active skill - Dodge is an example of this.

EDIT: I think the easiest thing to do would be copypaste the first part of your post, choos e aksill to use and use it and roll, rememebring to add your roll deficit at the bottom. I'll react to whatever you get. ))

Do I contol the blades in my hands?

Now, Drax awakened on a cold stone floor, in the middle of a hallway, with only slight recollection of the past events. He tried to get up, but failed miserably, spilling his belongings all over the floor. Frantic, he started scooping the objects back into his pockets, until he got to the brown beans, spread far across the floor infront of him.
everything came back to him, like a gunshot (figuratively, he doesn't know what that is) and his follies were know to him.
The beans were his downfall, they caused him to lose control, to waste energy and make foes of friends. They had caused him to forget that Faerun was not the place he was, but a distant, far away dream.
his honor was stained horribly with the deeds of the last few hours, and there was only one way to make it right.
He stormed out of the corridor, seeking two people, the high priestess, and The captain. several rights and lefts later, along with many abhorred reactions, he made his way to a small building, off the side of the temple proper, but still on the grounds. A young man, nay, the pampered 'noble' one that fell on him that day was there, with a bottle in his hand, Drinking the contents. he shrugged past the man, and walked to the door, but stopped short. he heard talk of a need for reliable protection, for fighting men worth their salt....
He wrapped on the door three times, not lightly, but respectfully quiet enough so that he wouldn't wholly disturb them.

Or do they control me?
