Naminé
Miss Memory Witch

Of course, when she didn't want Sora to argue against her, he did. The petite blonde sighed, a mixture of frustration and anger flitting across her features. She knew Sora was only doing this to protect her, as he'd even shifted positions so he was slightly in front of her to get between her and Marluxia. He told her no way, and that though he was happy she wanted to stand up for herself, it was too dangerous on her own. He was staying Jack could handle Halloween. Naminé frowned as he looked away from her and turned back to Marluxia. However, Naminé put her hands on her hips. She wasn't going to give this one up and yield to Sora. This was something she needed to do.

"Yes. Jack can handle Halloween. But people will expect you to be there, too. Besides we came here on holiday. And you'll worry Kairi greatly if you stay behind. You should be focusing on her and our other friends. I can take care of this. Trust me." Naminé told him, her voice sharp in the beginning but softening towards the end. "He can't hurt me, Sora. Not anymore. And... This is something I've got to do. If you don't understand, I'm sorry. But I need to do this all the same."

Kairi

Princess of Heart

The crimsonette smiled and said, "Okay," when Naminé gave her a smile and replied that she was alright. Kairi was still a little worried about her Other though. The red head then turned in surprise as the pinkette began shouting out his questions. This guy seemed pretty unpredictable to Kairi so she watched him carefully. She watched as Sora thanked Naminé then walked over to Marluxia, his Keyblade out. The Princess doubted Marluxia would attack with all of them there to attack back, but she knew Sora was being on the safe side. Kairi listened as the Keyblade Master told Marluxia that they didn't have the answers and to leave. The Nobody retorted that he could not go back to where he was before, so the brunette told him to find someplace else. While Sora and Marluxia continued talking Kairi heard Jack tell Zero to go tell the mayor that they'd be on their way with his year’s Halloween soon, and with that the ghost dog zoomed off. That's right. With a this new news, Kairi had forgotten that they needed to get back to town with the Transpooker. Halloween needed to get underway quickly.

The crimsonette turned her attention back to Marluxia. He had said that he wanted peace, and that he did not enjoy killing. Lakayna warned him not to dare lie, and then mentioned the nickname he had gained while in the Organization. At first Kairi was confused, but then suddenly remembered something. She remembered when she, Sora, Riku, Goofy, Donald, and the King were making their way through The World That Never Was. They had come to a room, Proof of Existence, and Kairi remembered that room well because she felt a little uncomfortable in there. It felt like a graveyard. Kairi remembered the markers that were in there, she had walked around and looked at each of them. They had a number, a title, and a picture of a weapon. From what she knew about Organization XIII, the Princess guessed that those markers represented each the Organization members. Marluxia had just mentioned graceful, and the crimsonette remembered the marker that said Graceful Assassin. So that must have been the nickname Lakayna was talking about. The Dragoness then said something to the Nobody in a voice voice before returning to the others.

Kairi was surprised a little when Naminé left the group and walked over to Sora and Marluxia. "Naminé?" the red head questioned. The petite blond then told all her friends to go back to town with the Transpooker while she stayed with Marluxia. The Princess heard a yip and saw that Zero had returned. The Pumpkin King told everyone to come along, and began leading them towards the lift. Kairi didn't follow though. She stayed where she was. She wasn't about to leave Naminé and Sora alone with Marluxia. The Nobody had done things to her Other and the Keybearer before, and she didn't want that to happen again. She loved them both and wanted them to be safe. The Princess looked towards them with worried eyes. The blonde and brunette were talking, but Kairi was a ways off so she couldn't hear what they were saying. She saw a mixture of frustration and anger flitter across her Nobody's face though. Kairi hoped everything was okay. She wasn't going to leave until she knew that everything was alright.

We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend.

Lakayna urned to go back to the lift and go up with most of the others, but stopped when she heard Sora say he didn't want Namine doing this alone and Blink offering to stay as well. Lakayna knew she probably shouldn't butt in, but something had to be said. The dragoness walked the few feet to the keyblade master and memory witch, placing a hand on Sora's shoulder. "Namine's mind is made up. If she says she has to do this alone then she probably should Sora. We won't be that far away," she said before turning her eyes to Namine, "Call us if you ever need any help while doing this. Don't worry, we'll here if you call."

Lakayna's hand lowered from Sora's shoulder. "You need some time to reconnected with your special someone anyway Sora. I believe some words were left unsaid at the fair last month. Now's the perfect time to work things out." Before turning to go to the life, Lakayna looked to their mummy friend. "Come on Blink. We should go now too." After having said that, the lavendernette made her way to the lift and climbed aboard carefully with the others.

(Even over the fireworks, Lakayna heard. She was sitting pretty close to Sora and Kairi anyway.)

User Image Marly felt something hit his back. He let out a small cry, surprised. The pinkette rubbed where it hit, then turned to the source. A boy he had never seen before was kicking stones at him. Marluxia growled. What was his problem?! He would have taken out his Beautiful Dahlia and made sure that he wouldn't be getting up in the near future, but he would surely have been killed. The thought made him angry, and he cursed them all under his breath. He couldn't leave, they wouldn't let him. He couldn't stay, either. So was he going to be chained up like a dog, awaiting his sure doom? And they thought that HE was evil. It was as if they didn't see their own problems, like, say, practically torturing him. He fingered the flower some more. It was about the only thing that had never tried to kill him before, it seemed. He didn't want to talk to his current tormentors, that wasn't getting him anywhere. Quite the opposite. Everything he said was turned against him, as well as what he didn't. If he denied, he was apparently 'lying' or 'getting defensive', and if he didn't then it was as if he accepted it, and had nothing to say. He'd hated them all. Every last one, especially that brat Sora. The kid would probably laugh at his cold fate. The flowers were pure, the only pure thing in the worlds. Only they were the essence of unmarred life.

The Pumpkin King
&
Sora
The Keyblade Master

Sora saw the anger and frustration flicker across Naminé’s face, but he didn’t think for a moment about backing down. He knew that she’d wanted him to agree, and something told him that maybe he should have. But he just couldn’t bring himself to do it. He opened his mouth to reply that he wasn’t going anywhere so that he could be sure she was safe, but then she brought up a forbidden subject.
”How dare you bring her into this…” he muttered under his breath as the Nobody said Kairi’s name. She must’ve known that he couldn’t say no to that. And then she drove the point home by saying this was something she needed to do on her own. Very reluctantly, he nodded. However, this wasn’t the last bit of persuasion he got. Lakayna came over and put a hand on his shoulder, telling him that Naminé’s mind was made up. And then she threw in that there’d been things left unsaid at the fair. Why did everyone know about this!?

Slightly frustrated with being talked into going against what he thought was right, Sora looked to Marluxia one last time.
”Don’t hurt her,” he snarled, putting as much venom into his voice that he could manage. He wouldn’t ever be able to forgive himself if the blonde Nobody got hurt because he’d left to go “party”. He knew he wouldn’t have much fun until Naminé came back safe and sound. Until then, he’d be worrying about her nonstop. He nodded to what Lakayna said about them coming to help if Naminé needed it. He would be the first one there. But now he had to go, and quickly too, or else Jack was going to leave without them. He knew Naminé could create a Corridor of Darkness to get herself into town, so she didn’t need the lift, so he didn’t worry about that for too long. He looked over to the departing group to see that Kairi wasn’t with them. She was still off to the side, apparently waiting for them to come. Well, there was yet another reason he couldn’t stay. He sighed, then left Naminé’s side. He walked over to Kairi and gently grabbed her shoulder, guiding her towards the lift.
”Come on,” he told her. ”We’ve got to go save Halloween.” They stepped onto the lift, and with that they departed from what was left of Oogie Boogie’s Manor.

Kairi

Princess of Heart

Kairi watched as both Blink and Lakayna walked over to Sora and Naminé. A moment later they returned with Sora. The brunette gently grabbed the red head by the shoulder and began guiding her to the lift. At first the crimsonette was confused, but then understood. Naminé wanted to deal with Marluxia alone. Even if Kairi didn't like that idea, if it was what Naminé wanted then she couldn't stand in the way. The Princess closed her eyes and thought to Naminé "If you need anything, I'm right here.
Kairi then opened her eyes and looked at Sora. He told her they had to go save Halloween. "Yeah," the crimsonette said with a pause. She gave one last glance at her Other as she and the brunette stepped onto the lift. Kairi then turned back to Sora and smiled "Right. Let's go."

We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend.

Blink came over and spoke Naminé's questiongly. The petite blonde raised a brow, while waiting for him to continue. He told her that he could stay just in case if she liked, and his tone was polite. Naminé gave a faint smile but shook her head. "Thanks, Blink. But you go on with the others." She told him. Lakayna then put in her two cents, walking over towards them and putting a hand on Sora's shoulder, letting the brunette know that Naminé had her mind made up and that if she said she had to do this alonge, she should. she turned her attention to the blonde herself, saying that if she ever needed any help while talking to Marluxia, to just call and that they'd hear. "Thank you, Lakayna." Naminé said, her smile a true smile now. Lakayna then spoke to Sora, hinting about Kairi which aggravated the brunette as he'd already commented on Naminé bringing her Other into this. But she knew Sora couldn't back down from it now. Blink and Lakayna left.

Sora turned to Marluxia and snarled at the pinkette not to hurt Naminé. Sora looked over at the departing group and Naminé stepped to Sora before he could leave. Reaching out, she grapsed his hand and gave it a light squeeze. "I'll be okay. I promise. And Sora? Thank you." She told the spiky brunette with a small smile. She released his hand and watched him walk over to Kairi and steer her away towards the lift. She heard Kairi's voice in her mind, saying that if Naminé needed anything, she was right there. 'Thank you, Kairi. I'll let you know.' Naminé replied to the crimsonette. She watched as they stepped onto the lift, and she watched her friends dissapear as the lift went up, getting them away from what was left of Oogie Boogie's Manor, and she waved until they were out of sight. Which left her alone with Marluxia.

Naminé looked down at her former master, watched him play with the flower and caught the look of frustration on his face. Silently, the girl sat down on the ground in front of him. She remained silent for a few moments, and gave a small sigh. The air around her glew with a shimmering light that radiated from her body, illuminating the immidiete area around her with a soft glow. Naminé looked at the flower, then raised her head and looked up at Marluxia. "What is it you truly want, Marluxia?" She asked the pinkette in her usual soft tone. "Revenge on the one who killed you, and all of the people that caused your plan to fall about you in pieces? Or is it that now you're back, you honestly don't know what to do now?"

User Image He glared at her. "Don't treat me like a child." he said, indicating her tone and the fact that she thought that she could make him do as she wished. Last time he checked, it was the other way. But last time, he was living, and meant to be. But he complied, beacuse he had nothing better to do. "I want revenge, but that's only natural. You'd do the same. But I couldn't get that if I tried, could I? And as for my plan, I really could care less, now. It's not as if I could fix that now, so I really don't see the point. I don't know anything now. Not why I exist, or where to go...or anything else." he sighed.

Naminé gazed at him with what was close to a pitiful but also detached gaze when he glared at her and told her not to treat him as a child. "If I were treating you like a child I'd have created a room and sent you away to it, Marluxia." Naminé said. And though her tone was soft as it normally was, there was a cold edge to it. The girl's crystaline eyes looked away from him and to the flower that grew at the ground before him. She listened silently to his answer and shook her head. "No. I wouldn't do the same. After all, you're here now, aren't you? Shouldn't I feel as though I want revenge on you, my former master? But I don't. Because that life is over for me and I've learned to let it go." Naminé told him in a quiet voice.

Slowly she raised her eyes to look back up at him. "So you really don't know where to go from here." She murmured, her brilliant blue eyes looking straight into his. "I don't know how to help you, Marluxia. You can go back to Castle Oblivion but no one would be there. As for why we exist... Roxas and I were helped back. We were actually helped so we could live our seperate lives. For you and Axel, and even Xion to have returned... I'm not sure what it means. I only know that you've been given a second chance. And only you can decide what to do with it." Naminé said.

The Pumpkin King

Sora
The Keyblade Master

Sora allowed a soft smile to appear as Kairi agreed with him and they left Oogie’s Manor’s remains. He remembered very suddenly that Kairi had a link with Naminé, so if something went wrong, she’d be the first to know. And then they could come back and help. That calmed his nerves a bit. So he decided to not worry about it and focus on Halloween. Although, he couldn’t stop his mind from straying to when Naminé had thanked him. What had she been thanking him for? Letting her handle Marluxia herself? That was hardly a favor! She was doing tons more for him. But if he’d stuck around to argue it, the whole purpose of her gratitude would have been a waste. So he’d just have to thank her back the next opportunity he got. With a shake of his head, he decided to stop thinking about that until he had to. He had to do what the blonde Nobody and Lakayna had told him to do: Make amends with Kairi.
”You excited?” he asked, grinning. He was trying to lighten up the mood, which wouldn’t be too hard once they got in town. ”I’ve never been here on Halloween before… I wonder what it’ll be like, and if the Trans-whatever will work like Jack says--”

”Of course the Transpooker will work!” Jack Skellington interrupted, overhearing Sora’s conversation with his… girlfriend? The skeleton didn’t understand mortal relationships too well, the whole aspect of dating was a mystery to him. He’d just found love with Sally from the two saving each other in their own way, and her selfless attempts to stop his spooky Christmas. So he’d gotten lucky and hadn’t had to date at all. Still, he didn’t know where she’d gone. He wished he’d find her and the doctor soon. Zero barked at him, bringing him back to the present. The lift had reached the top of the cliff. Since the group was depending on him to lead the way, he got off first.
”Hurry along, everyone!” he told them. ”I can feel the Halloween excitement building up! We must make haste! Oh, I’ve got it! Hee hee hee!!!” The Pumpkin King let out a terrifying cackle as he came up with a plan on a whim. Why not spook the townsfolk upon their grand entrance? He bent down to almost be at Lock, Shock, and Barrel’s level. ”Let everyone touch that device, alright? And on the count of three, everyone shriek ’Boo!’ Quickly!” He put a bony hand on the large disk, and Sora followed suit, keeping a firm hand on Kairi’s shoulder should things go wrong. Once everyone had put their hand on the device, Jack pressed a button. He hesitated for a few moments, then started to count.
”One… two… THREE!” he cried, and just as the beginning of the word three escaped him, they were transported to the square where everyone was waiting impatiently. The group showed up in the middle just in front of the meeting hall, and with perfect timing, Jack and Sora at least screamed ”BOO!!”

((Basically, what I mean at the end is the idea that Jack timed the device so they would appear in town just as the group says boo to scare everyone and make a spectacular appearance. So, if you're with them, just have them say boo somewhere, unless they don't want to participate, which after some events I wouldn't doubt some don't...))

~Alexander~
~Heir to The World That Never Was~

Alexander had followed the group closely, but stayed on the fringes of it as they made their various stops through Halloween Town. He hadn't particularly cared much about what was being said, that was until Hikari had begun acting strange. The young Nobody had kept his mouth shut as she told the others they were going the wrong way, mostly because he thought it might make things worse for her should he support her since few in the group trusted him.

The biggest shock of all though had come when the three little kids had shown up and Hikari claimed that one of them was her's. The first thoughts that ran through Alexander's mind were how impossible the idea seemed. However, once Lakayna confirmed that what Hikari said was indeed true, Alexander's mind began to race. How could his father have allowed something like this to happen right under his own nose, surely he wouldn't subject such a young girl as Hikari was at the time to something like this. Yet, at the same time Alex suspected that Xenahort would do it if he thought it would help his own goals. That only left one question on the boy's mind.

The white haired nobody ignored the rest of the group as some of them went to talk with Marluxia. Alex was curious as to how the nobody was alive, but riht now he had more pressing concrens. He walked over to Hikari and carefully placed his hand on her shoulder. "Hikari, I need you to tell me who this girl's father is. I deserve to know if was him. I deserve to know whether I have a sister or not." His voice was calm, but had an undertone of both anger and sadness to it.

Kairi

Princess of Heart

As they went up the lift, Kairi smiled as she heard Naminé reply. Being able to contact her Other anytime through their link made the crimsonette relax a little. If something did happen down there, she would feel it and could rush to Naminé's aid. Things seemed okay for now so Kairi tried not to worry too much and concetrate on why they had come here in the first place, Halloween.
The Princess turned her attention back to Sora. He had asked her if she was excited, but Kairi almost missed what he had said. She was too busy looking at his face. He was grinning at her. He hadn't done that in a while. For a split second Kairi's face had a look of surprise, but it was quickly replaced with a grin as well. "Very excited," the Princess beamed back, feeling like she had just met up with an old and dear friend. This was the Sora she knew and loved. The one who was smiling at her and making her laugh. That's how Kairi always wanted it to be. She couldn't stand the awkwardness anymore. The short conversations, not being able to look at each other. Kairi wanted all that to end and for things to be how they were, she and Sora smiling together. The brunette continued to say that he had never been here on Halloween before, and wondered what it would be like. He also wondered if the Transpooker would work, but before he could finish his sentence Jack interrupted saying that of course the Transpooker would work. The red head looked up at Jack and said, "Yes Jack. We know it will." She then looked back at Sora. This was the longest the Keybearer and the Princess had talked together in a while, so the crimsonette wasn't about to let it end now. She gave a small laugh after Jack's interjection then replied to what Sora had said before he had been interrupted "Really? Kairi asked, "I thought that maybe you had. Well I'm sure it's going to be lots of fun! We'll find out soon!"

When the lift reached the top the Pumpkin King got off first to lead the way, telling everyone to hurry along. Kairi and the rest hurried after him and as they walked Jack seemed to come up with a plan. He told everyone to touch the Transpooker and to shriek "Boo!" on the count of three. The skeleton put his hand on the device and Sora followed him. The crimsonette followed as well and placed her hand on the device. As she did so the brunette placed a firm hand on her shoulder, and Kairi was sure he had done so in case something should happen. Once everyone was touching the Transpooker, Jack pressed a button and started to count. Kairi looked around, waiting to see what would happen, and just as the Pumpkin King said three the group was transported to the square where the townspeople were waiting impatiently. They ended up just in front of the meeting hall. Kairi was about to exclaim "Whoa!" out of surprise from being transported, but then she remembered what Jack had said. "BOO!" the crimsonette quickly screamed along with Jack and Sora.

We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend.

Blink kept looking behind as they headed for the lift,
"Good luck namine" he said under his breath.
Blink watched jack as he told everyone to hold the transpooker and say 'boo'.
"Here goes.... BOO" he shouted as he appeared in guillotine square outside the meeting hall.
"Woah that was awesome" he said
