Kura listened to Kimache and smiled softly as he was leaving. "I gave you an impossible task. To hit me in my most guarded of places...I was testing your other skills and abilities...go and rest now." He rose and stretched again. The cloak on and then noticed the other presences. One quickly leaving. The other nearby. He looked over at Pale and bowed slightly, his smile no longer on his face. "Good eve Miss Pale-dono." He pulled his hood up over the handsome and strangely beautiful face of Kurayami Odokemono...

"Good evening yourself. You've stolen my day away, it was spent just watching the two of you fight....Look, Kura, why are you here?" It wasn't bothering her yet, but Kura was different in the sense that it didn't seem like he belonged with people who spoke normally, thought normally. She didn't even know if she should expect an actual answer from this, but she was never subtle, and figured she would now that she had the chance.

Kura stopped putting on his cloak and stared at the ground. He simply stood there...as if contemplating her question. He then finished and pulled his hood up over his head. "Would you like to take a walk Miss Pale-dono? It will be a nice evening. I think it will be a better way to talk. I like the waterfall personally...what about you?" He turned as he began to walk, his steps heading toward the waterfall.
If she wished to follow she could. He wasn't speeding along, and was at a slow and easy pace, as if he was expecting her to follow and come with him. His eyes staring straight ahead in silence, waiting for her to answer his question, catch up, or leave. Which ever became her choice...

"I do like it, I have many fond memories." Pale shrugged and began to follow him, but wondered if he was playing mind games. She didn't have that sort of patience anymore, the last few months had changed her. It hurt that he ignored her question.
She wasn't ready to go back to the castle yet, so she lazily followed him until she caught up, just wlking beside him.

"I have nowhere else...I'm a vagabond and was living as a hermit before. I saved a young girl named Kasumi. You should know her. She invited me here as I helped her get back on her feet. So I came...I'm here...because nowhere else accepts me. I'm not...normal, by any means or stretch of the imagination." He moved like a wraith, the silence around him, excepting his voice, was incredible. Only she would be making noise aside from his voice.
"What about you Miss Pale-dono...I've heard and seen much of you. Your fiancee leaving...the troubles. Yet you push on through it all. But..it's none of my business. What do you think of Kimache-san, Miss Pale-dono?" He kept walking, his golden eyes straight ahead, standing at 6'2 at the moment.

Pale knew only small protions of Kasumi's history, but she could guess where Kura came into play. She did not take any note of the silence. She had spent many of her days on an island where it was common that although there were many people, there was never any sound. "I push on because I have to, Kura. I've got to find some other reason to live. Kimache? You mean Jay? Well, he's a fellow spirit like me, isn't he?"

Kurayami finally could see the waterfall and led her to it. He hopped onto the rocks and closer to the middle of the small water filled cove. He pulled his hood from his face letting his white hair fall down over his cloak. His face handsome and still beautiful. It was nearly inhuman how he looked. "A fellow spirit...I suppose you could put it like that."
Kura let out a soft sigh before looking up at the sky in a short meditative silence. He would then speak after that. "I've killed many people, but saved more in the process. The last person I killed though was over 25 years or so ago. Aura Avalon. He was my first disciple. Also only one of two people I trust with my life and everything in it. Kimache now being the second...
"But...that's not the matter now is it? Why did you follow me Miss Pale-dono? It isn't just because you wished to ask that simple question. There must be more you would like to ask, or maybe you were curious enough to find out that singular question...ne?" He then let his head shift, his eyes move down to look at her.

She didn't like the idea of giving her own history out so easily, but she expected something like that had been the case for Kura. Kimache was the second? She tried not to shiver. "I really am that curious. It's just my nature. Although I have to admit it's not always the best idea."

Jay's body would be pushing itself to the limits as he trudged along to the lake and fell forward, hitting the cool sand. A grunt escaped his lips as he turned over on his back and gave a wheeze. His neck and chest hurt like hell...but his back couldn't be ignored either. Soon he would pass out from exhaustion or possibly pain, either way he didn't have enough in him to stay awake...

Kura watches her for a bit and then nods looking away. "I see...well is there anything specific you wish to know Miss Pale-dono? I'm not good at starting a conversation...it usually doesn't end well. But if there is anything you'd like to talk about I could try to entertain you." He keeps his eyes on her waiting for something more than curiosity to take hold. After all, a man who looked as young as Kura, with golden eyes and long white hair had to raise some questions...at least on some level.

Kura looked at the drink and shook his head slowly. "No thank you...I don't drink much, and it is only specific types at that...youkai...no far from it. I'm a hybrid. One that you've probably never met, and never will meet again. I am the mix between a phoenix, giving me life properties, and magical capabilities beyond belief. And a dragon, giving me magical and physical capabilities as well. These two very powerful creatures, somehow made me. A mix that can polymorph from his natural form, can't help but be 'beautiful' as some see me, and is powerful beyond comprehension..."
Kura looks down in silence for a while and then up at the sky. "What about you? Just a mortal?" His golden eyes seemed to hold emotion again, now they were much sadder, as if his secrets held something that he didn't like, yet beyond that there was a deep-rooted and powerful pride when he had spoken about his hybrid nature. A confusing man to say in the least.

"That depends where you go. In Black Amber, I am "just" a mortal. You say you are a cross between a dragon and a pheonix. However, isn't the point of a pheonix that it never reproduces? And how is it that you take the form of a man then?" Something was nagging at her. Perhaps some more drinks would make her more friendly towards him, she thought to herself.

Jay would awake, his eyes groggily ajusting to the light. He got up, his back feeling somewhat better since he had rested on the cool sand. Getting up, he would pick up his cloak and walk back to his castle. He was hungry and needed food, and (being a former chef at Avzars) he was more than happy to cook for tonight.

Kurayami sighs softly. There it was, the question everyone asked. He looked up slowly at the sky. "I can shapeshift because of the dragon genes inside me. A dragon has the innate ability to polymorph. As far as the reproduction? You're right...a phoenix can't 'reproduce' persay. But then again, that doesn't stop them from experimenting. There are thousands of phoenixs, all from the main leader's genes of course. Call it what you will, but it's cloning in essence. Well...what if in a cloning, or 'reproduction' of a phoenix you inserted some new genes, such as a dragons.
"You would have a child that would either be killed by the genes, or if strong enough would survive and continue through it's life to life and be the best. It would have it's own will apart from the others because of the different genes. But my story probably bores you. The phoenixs' are civilized creatures who live in the sky in harmony." He sighs softly and looks up at the sky, his eyes deeply sad with memories. "Harmony without abominations like myself." He slowly rose and dusted himself off. "But I've wasted enough of your time yes? I don't wish to be a bother Miss Pale-dono" He bows his head slightly and looks back at her waiting for her response or to let him go if she wished so.
