Kimmi hit the surface after Luke's 'toss' and gasped at the air. She cursed mentally and took a deep breath before the thing hissed in her ear and shoved her under, holding her there. She replaced her sai, too much of a chance for her to cut herself rather than the beast. She yanked and pulled, kicking at what she could. She could hear the creepy thing giggling as it shoved her harder.

As Luke shot up, he could see the thing that had pulled him under struggling in the water, but didn't have much time to wonder at it, before he smacked right into "it", launching them and something else out of the water a few feet because of the amount of force he had used. It was only as he came back down, before splashing into the water that he realized it was Kimmi, thinking she they were lucky he hadn't hurt her. And what had been on her was the real enemy. He pushed his arms through the water, and grabbed onto the shallower part of the river, before it dropped down suddenly. Then he pushed himself off of it and with sprays of water shooting from either side of him he rammed into it. This time he felt a pain in his elbow where he had hit the face.

Kimmi gasped and gulped air as she coughed up water. She quickly made her way to the ledge and as fast as she could on to the bank. She gasped and coughed water onto the dirt before flopping on her back and taking deep gulps of air. She could hear splashing and knew the others were fighting. She decided against going back in the water and lay there trying to regulate her breathing with her eyes closed.

Luke ignored the fact that his skin was torn at the elbow now and grabbed the neck- he had apparently lost his gun by then. He had both hands tightly around the neck, but it was still fighting back and trying to bite him, so with a lot of effort, he got his foot between them and kicked down,causing it to go under water. He took a deep breath and followed, determined to finish it off.
Khana continued walking, not sure where she was going, already in the trees and near the river. She followed it as it bended around the camp and back toward the building she had just come from, but before she even got close to there she herd a loud commotion. sSe started running then, one hand on her Uzi, leaving the other gun strapped around her shoulder so she would still have a free hand.

Spotting Luke in a struggle she dashed over as fast as the current around her would allow, spotting him going under right as a stabbing pain shot up her leg as something tried to pull her under. Stabbing down with her blade, she felt it go through something and the struggling go limp. Ignoring the the fact that it was still firmly clamped to her calf, Kay again spotted Luke as he definitely dived after the thing. A form on shore coughing up water obviously being Pinky she dived under to help Luke.
Kay couldn't really see the thing as it fought Luke, so much as sense it. Like somehow parts of them were the same thing. Without thought she brought her blade to bare on the thing. A scream pierced through her brain, knocking what air she had in her lungs out as the thing died in the water. Kicking hard Kay broke the surface gasping, her mind pounding with what felt like a thousand headaches.

Luke had been doing well to strangle the life out of the thing, but it would have taken far too long and so much more effort, so he was grateful when Kay finished it off. He let it go and kicked the water with his feet, swimming to the surface very rapidly and then took a nice big breath of air. He could see Kay very near him and in what appeared to be avast amount of pain, though he could not till why, at least, nothing external. He swam over to her in one quick stride and grabbed her arm near the shoulder, and used his other arm and legs to kick very strongly, helping her along because he thought it would be difficult to swim in that much pain. They weren't all gone, he could still feel one, it was still a small distance away, but coming toward them fast. At least it still looked like he would make it to the shore first though. He got the oddest feeling around them, so very different different from any other zombie, almost like a stinging, ringing, hard to describe feeling. There, he reached the shore, but it was very close now.
Khana broke through the trees and ran on, seeing Kimmi on the ground near the rivers edge soon after, making her speed up even more. She couldn't see what had caused all of this, but just as she reached Kimmi, what looked like look and Kay just arrived at the surface.
She knelt down by Kimmi first, immediately asking, "Are you ok!?" while scanning their surroundings in case of attack.

Kimmi opened her eyes, still panting but getting air now. "I'm breathing, I'll check the rest later." She answered as Kay and Luke made it to shore. "You guys ok?" She asked then froze. She pushed Khana away and sat up, her eyes on the water. The surface was stilling now that Kay and Luke were on shore. Kimmi tilted her head to side as that odd buzzing started, more calling her than warning her. Without realizing what she was doing she stood up and started heading for the water again.

Khana let Kimmi get up, but then as she saw that she was going back to the water, and not directly where Luke and Kay were either, so it wasn't to help them- she took a quick step after her and grabbed her arm, "What are you doing?" she asked, thinking she might be planning to fight again, if there was anything to fight left. But there was no need to exert herself further, even if there were one or two enemies left. If Luke or Kay didn't take care of it, Khana still had all her energy, and most of her bullets.

"It's hurt." She muttered, sounding almost drugged. "It's calling me." She pulled against Khana as the buzzing increased. It was obvious this was how Khana had lost her the first time, her mind automatically answering the thing calling. Though she wasn't so sure it was calling her exactly, like with the built in detector. Part of her had a feeling it was calling Kay and because she had Kay's blood in her it was effecting her, maybe the serum. Too many things it could be, either way she was too tired to resist answering.

Khana had only stopped before when she grabbed Kimmi's arm, now she gripped it tighter and pulled back in alarm. "Kimmi no!" she said strongly, hoping that would get through to her, even though she wasn't sure just what was wrong with her, or at least, why it was happening. Calling to her?
One thing she did know was that she most certainly was not going to let Kimmi go to it.

"Ow! What the hell?" Kimmi cried as her arm was jerked. "Why are you jerking me around?" She asked Khana as she shook her head. She reached up with her free arm and rubbed her forehead. "What is that noise, it's different." Her eyes cut to Luke as she tried to ignore the insistent buzzing. "Can you hear it?"

Khana scowled, "What do you mean what the hell? Your the one trying to get yourself dragged under the water again!" she said with some irritation, even though she knew she should be more patient. If this thing was "calling her" then it wasn't really her fault. Then she looked over at Luke to see a weird expression on his face as he climbed out of the water.
"Sort of..." Luke answered as he went to help Kay pull herself out. For some reason, even though he was sure there was only one left, at least one that could be a threat, there was another one that was hurt... the feeling increased, the stinging starting to hurt him just slightly, more an irritation then anything else. He could tell that he knew exactly which direction both of them were in too. The injured one was under water, and the other had stopped swimming toward them and was hanging just below the surface about 20 feet away. Yet, knowing this did not make him feel any better.

Kimmi grit her teeth and turned to Khana. "Hit me." She said seriously. She could feel herself succumbing to the thing calling her again, pain from being jerked snapped it out of her before, pain should do it again. A larger dose might last long and besides Kay, Khana hit the hardest of anyone she knew. "Just don't break anything." She warned as she made the motion. "Hurry up that thing is getting louder." If all else failed and the pain didn't work, maybe the hit would knock her out.

Khana didn't do anything at first, and then even when she could see that Kimmi was really serious, she still didn't want to like hit her in the head or something... so after a moment of hesitation, she hit punched her in the arm, not as hard as she could, but still hard enough to hurt a lot. She didn't want to leave that big of a bruise. And she also didn't know exactly why Kimmi had wanted her to hit her, or what that had to do with the thing calling her.

Kimmi winced. "Huh what do you know." She said as she rubbed the spot Khana had hit her. "It works. Pain blocks that thing out." She said with a smirk. "Come on lets get away from the water, I don't think they'll leave it." She said as she reached down to help Luke with Kay. "If I got all weird hit me again." She said to Khana.
