"They all talk like that," Imperius clicked, "but they all beg for less torture. For example..."
Imperius pulled out his lightdagger and switched it on. Although he had killed many times, he had never once performed something like this personally. It was almost...revolting as he brought the dagger near Neb.
"This is exactly like a lightsaber, but smaller. Think about what it can do..." Imperius trailed, butterflies in his stomach.
He gave in, and switched off the blade.
"Take him," he commanded, and Neb was escorted out of the room.
Imperius fell back into a chair and pondered why it was so difficult to make that man feel pain..

(( EDIT: Crap, I typed this before I saw FP's post above. If this screws up anything, just consider this what happens when the chatting's over and Imperius wants him out of there. ))
Angel took Neb out of the room, and started escorting him to cell. Once there, she put him inside and activated the barrier. " I'm sorry for this, Neb, but as you know, I must go along with him for now. I wish I could save him... from himself... but I don't know how, or even if may be too late... " She look at Salvation, then Punishment, pondering the possible meaning of the names on the sabers. " Although I must see to it you stay put, I will instruct the guards I'll send in here to treat you well. If you need anything, any food or drink, whatever, tell one of them. If you have been mistreated, they will answer to me, and I will make sure they undertand that. By the way, you remember that holocron you gave me after Mordranna brought me to you and you showed me the truth of that tragedy? Well, I never got the chance to look at it before I lost it when the Eclipdra was destroyed. Can you tell me what was on it? "

"Imperius is too foolish to understand. He didn't kill me right there, like a smart man would, nor will he be able to do it when I'm on my back. He's too scared to actually commit to the act of death. He also knows that I have nothing to lose. And with that being the case, he cannot scare me, as he has no weapon to bear. If he destroys the Republic, he does not win. He tortures me, he cannot win. He kills me, he loses. He knows, full well, that by striking me down, he will commit the same mistake as his master. A dead Jedi is the worst thing one could have for an enemy."
Neb had stated this, he fiddled with the bracers which bound his hands. They quickly fell off, as he looked at the roof of the ship.
"I'm sorry. Feron is blind. Imperius is an idiot. I hope you did not fall in love with Imperius, as he will die. Feron might be able to see again, but his alter-egos keep beating that part down."
He sighed.
"The holocron which I gave you contained probably one of the most rattling truths in the history of the sith. You wished to follow the path of Revan. If that is the case, you would end up as that which Imperius fears most: becoming a jedi. He cannot stand the thought of it, as his entire life would be put into question. But Revan changed. Imperius will be destroyed. And Feron, will... succeed in his quest for Revan."
Neb placed his hands behind his back.
"As for the shards, we both know where they are, don't we?" He gave with a slight chuckle, before his face set back down to a single melonchaly expression. "How long till we reach Yavin? Imperius wanted a fight, I suggest we give him one..."

Imperius sat quietly in his office, musing the annhilation of Yavin 4.
"Admiral Traer, how long until we reach Yavin?" he asked.
"We will exit hyperspace in around two hours, my lord" the Admiral answered.
"Very well."
Imperius crossed his arms and gazed out the viewport at the stars rushing by.

The members of Squire squadron gathered around the mess table aboard the Hope Eagle. Delicacies of many worlds filled the Squire's plates, though the popular most item seemed to be nerf steak. "Seems the dragons'll have to work harder!" crowed Johhny R, aka Squire Eight, as he gulped down a generous portion of steak. "You have to give them credit where credit is due," chimed in Jeedon, Squire Eleven, whom was the Squire's sole Rodian. "I'm ready for a real fight!" Johnny R crowed again. Jeedon turned to Mordranna, whom seemed lost in thought. "Hey, you all right, boss?" "Yes, thank you, Jeedon," Mordranna said softly, giving the Rodian a sheepish smile. "Just thinking about Jedi sort of things, you know?" She then looked to Johnny R. "As for you, I have a piece of advice," she whispered to him conspiritoraly. "Be careful of what you wish for, my friend. You may get it, but it may be more than you bargained for,"

" True. To kill all your enemies without hesitation is to destroy any knowledge you could've gained from them, and an ignorant tyrant of power is doomed to fall to someone who respects wisdom over sheer brutality. Much of why the Sith have the problem of usurpers. They only respect power. Wisdom is only good to them if it means they will gain more power from it. " Angel said. " And it is ironic that he searches for that which was right in front of him not a few minutes ago. His lust for power and conquest has blinded him somewhat already... My fear is that I'll lose him to it completely. It is not Darth Imperius, Lord of the Sith, I fell in love with. I saw him for who he trurly is, Phoenix Feron, and that is the man I love. It breaks my heart to think with each passing day, he's losing himself to his own ambition... " She paused for a while, trying not to get upset thinking about it. " As for Yavin... A couple of hours I suppose... You know what, I'm not gonna have guards watch over you. I'll stay here myself and do it. What other chances will I get to talk to you and perhaps have you share some of your wisdom? " She pulled out her sabers, and showed Neb where the names were inscribed. " For example, can you explain this? I was meditating and practicing, and I had a mix of tranquility and wild emotion or something, like I was feeling both sides of the Force at once, and it shot from my body into my sabers and these words appeared. The strangest part of it is, I guess because of that, they feel more like an extension of myself rather than mere sabers. "

"Well, then, If it is hours it shall be, Yavin will have an ample defense. Half a moment please," Neb motioned, sitting down and closing his eyes. It did not take more than twenty seconds to reach out and try to give some warning. Though the range was almost too far, he hoped a message to scramble the defenses would get through to someone. Hopefully Mordranna.
"Now, as to your sabers... You disturb me. A lightsaber has always been the key weapon of a Jedi. Being entrusted with another Jedi's lightsaber is a sacred bond. Almost as sacred as the Wookiee life debt. They should always be an extension of one's self. As to the writing, I could explain it to you, but that would defeat the purpose of its occurance in the first place. One learns by doing, rather than simply watching. That does not mean I won't help guide. I just won't give away the answer."

Yavin 4.
A peaceful world of lush jungles, babbling brooks, and giant temples erected by the Sith's Massassi slaves. Since only a few years after the founding of the New Republic, the moon had been home to the Jedi Praxeum, Luke Skywalker's answer to the Jedi Training center that had once sat on Coruscant. In more recent times, specifically only about three weeks ago, the entire New Republic administration had moved there.
It was a fools gamble, they must have known they would be found.
As the FSL fleet emerged from hyperspace, they microjumped to orbit around Yavin.
Imperius was right.
A New Republic fleet awaited, and the FSL force was quite evenly matched. In fact only minimal forces had been left behind and the fleet was very strong. The Imperial traitors had supplied Imperius with many Venator-class Star Destroyers, powerful capital ships that had been retired after the Clone Wars. In addition, there were Victory, Imperator, Interdicor-class Star Destroyers, even a mock-Executor-class Star Destroyer, although with such short notice it had not been brought quite up to par as that of the Executor. Imperius grimaced, as the NR forces had their own Executor-class, the Lusankya.
As the first ships moved forward to engage, Red Tempest stayed behind.
And then the power went out.

"Hmm..." Neb groaned, as the power went out. "I guess that means we're at Yavin. Now to get to work." He muttered, starting up into Battle Medidtation.

"What happened?!" Imperius demanded, as the emergency lighting on the Red Tempest slowly kicked in.
"Creepers have been detected in the portside shield bay." an officer responded.
Imperius pondered this for a while.
"Deploy all fighter squadrons and troops, and then evacuate the ship. Move all personell onto Rising Storm." Imperius commanded.
"And leave the prisoner and the Lady," he added.

" I have my own guess. I assume it's a reaction to what I was feeling at the time. Like, when it happened, the Force went through me into the sabers and created a type of... connection... between them and myself, the sabers reacting to the Force depending on how I feel it. I suppose it doesn't matter that much... With or without this 'special' trait, I'd still try to train more and they would become an extension of myself later anyways. " Angel said. Soon, it went dark, then the emergency power kicked in. " You're probably right. " she said, in response to Neb saying they must be at Yavin. She left him to his meditation so as not to disturb his focus, though she remained nearby. Shortly after, she felt a sense of panic through the Force coming from the less experienced soldiers onboard as the evacuation was going on. She quickly realized what they were doing. " I guess they forgot about us... " she said quietly, more to herself than Neb. " She then began to practice her Force powers some more, levitating her sabers and trying to perform more difficult tricks.

"Just because I'm not a cerulan does not mean I cannot multitask, Angel," Neb stated, still meditating. "It will be a slug-a-thon for sure. With the senators placed on Yavin, the New Republic fleet was forced to reside a major part of its force here. Meaning no matter how hard your lord tries, he'll have trouble breaking the line... even without my skills. Also, there's a good chance that distress calls will be... have been made, meaning that more of the fleet will come. Once the two are equally set, we shall have to move onward."
He opened one eye, and looked at Angel. "You know, simply medidtating is a good start to understanding. Many jedi have been known to share thoughts and feelings in communion while in such trances. Perhaps that should be the start of your training."

" Well, I didn't want distract you and... well, nevermind. " Angel said, a bit confused. " I must say, you sure have a way to make people think, whether it be them learning, or out of confusion. " After a few moments more of trying to make her sabers 'dance' in the air, she stopped and put them away again. " Still, confusing or not, I'd welcome whatever teaching you will offer. " she said, as she sat down and relaxed, clearing her mind and beginning to meditate.

"I don't know if it was ever said, but I think it hasn't. I don't know if I ever came up with it, or if I remember it from a while ago. Anyways, as the saying goes, 'be thinkers, not believers'. Muse on that for a bit. See what your response is, when your head is clear, and your mind is focused. Do not respond until you are sure of the answer," Neb responded, closing his eyes once again, focusing on the battle outside.
