Or can you report it stolen? nope....the guy grabbed it and pulled from me when I was walking out of the bus-train-whatever it's called thing, and srove away xp. and reporting it won't do anything...I only remember that he was wearing a green shirt, so the police would only shout at me if I'd try reporting it xp That's really not fun. Was there a lot in it? D: not really, but it was all I had xp...and all my important documents...>.< Ow ow sweatdrop I'd be terrible at descrbing an assultent. I don't notice people >.>

Does anyone know of any people who are on quests to join this guild? I see one of our most recent members was questing to have enough art to join, and I know Katherdante had a quest a year ago to do so ... Has anyone else done that? I'm really interested in that sort of thing - I'm not sure why (;

I found out about this gulid when I first started collecting art, so I think I had it in the back of my mind to get to 50, but it's a fairly significant seeming number, so I might have anyway.

I wanted to join so bad when I had about 20 commissions so when I finally reached 50 you could say I had been questing for that other 30. ^^ I have'nt seen any quest threads about it but I'll keep my eyes open for you Audley. ^^

I didn't have a quest thread or anything xDDD...but I was trying really hard to get that 50 xDDDD
actually, when I first heard about OGAWG, I thought 'collecting masses of avatar art? that's so stupid, you change your av too often! too much people with too much money!' xDDDDDD...but then some good soul from DA all from himself drew mi a fanart of one of my characters, and yes, that was Shavris xDDD....It was exactly this picture:

a bit sketchy, and a freaky idea with the dagger, but still I was really moved xDDDD...so I looked around the art freebies thread, asking for some pictures of my characters who I liked the best how they looked....they were picked really random, from many different worlds xD...in the end I decided on Shavi, cause he got more freebies than the rest, and I loved that emo-ish guy back then xDDDD...right now I think that he's strange and his outfit sucks big time, but hush xDDD
and finally I remembered about OGAWG, and this time I thought 'wow, what a great idea! I bet I'll met tons of great people there!' so I started to madly collect pictures, reached 50 and joined. and that's my lifetime of a story xDDDD
and what's yours xD?
and if Raesha reads that, what exactly made you to start OGAWG?

By the time I actually checked out OGAWG, I was pretty far into my first contest-- so I already met the 50 pictures requirement ^_^

i've seen a couple of people in the r&c questing to join this guild
i didn't quest, i just happened to have enough when i came around to applying. when i joined i already had close to 100 pieces.
i have a question for you all, since some of you buy a lot of writen work. a friend of mine is opening a shop and he isn't sure of what or how to charge.
he's opening a shop bc he's questing for an omg.

I'm with Magaly and Yumeh. Yumeh, because I wasn't really very interested in getting art for my avatar... sure I like to change the look but it's never really represented me enough and I could do my own art signature wise. It's the OCs that got me--just love seeing them in other artists style. Very addicted now. 3nodding
And like Magaly, I just happened to have a bit over the 50 needed to join by the time I was aware of and interested in joining.
Was anyone else besides me surprised by the change in Deviantart? XD I was really clueless about the new 5 version. The only thing I don't like about it is that profiles & galleries don't show up for me in netscape... IE doesn't have tabs, and firefox has a problem and closes on me alot.

I'm really interested in that sort of thing - I'm not sure why (; I shore did!! 4laugh And now, keeping to that tradition my birthday/gaiaversery thread is also the begennings of my 'OMGWTF' quest. whee  I am at about 430ish pieces currently... *ebil giggling* So about half way there? ninja I also have a friend who has enough pieces to join who I am encouraging to do so. He is slightly hesitant I think though because he just joined the army and will be leaving for his basic training very soon. 3nodding But he might join once he gets back. =3

It seems like there's a fair mix of people who had quests and who just happened to have the required amount when they found the guild/wanted to apply for membership. Goodo (:
As for dA v.5 ... I'm ambivalent, I suppose. I miss things, but it still works, so ... c'est la vie, really. I don't have enough vested in dA to take any of it too hard. There's been a lot of comment on the categories system, which is odd (or not), since that change took place before the new site upgrade (only slightly before, but still) - it seems to be getting lumped in with general v5 complaints (why not? I suppose).
Katherdante - I hope your friend does join when he gets back. It's good to have new members (: I remember before I joined I saw someone saying this guild was too competitive and that members are only the number of commissions they have. I was slightly amused - does anyone know how many commissions anyone else currently has unless they have it in their signatures or request thread?
