"Actually it doesn't make it taste sweeter, just makes the blood run faster and thicker because of the adrenaline." Faye replied softly then looked over innocently. "Oh... you were... joking weren't you...?"

"Yeah, I was joking." Megan said, chuckling. "A bad joke, but a joke nonetheless. So, I'm going to take a guess here, and guess you're a vampire then?"

Faye shook her head slightly. "Halfling. My mama has vampire blood and my father's a werewolf. And my mother's a werewolf." She smiled brightly.

"Sounds a little confusing." Megan said, yawning. "But maybe I'm just sleepy."

"It's confusing to a lot of people until it gets explained. My mother and father are siblings. Mother wanted to have children but she's married to mama. So... father... was... he um..." Faye started to blush and looked at the ground and stopped talking.

"Helping out?" Megan offered. "I think I get it. Makes sense." He looked up, thinking about how simple he life was in comparrison. "But hey, you know your parents, right? That's good."

Faye nodded furiously and cleared her throat. "So, tell me more about you. Please keep my mind off my parents doing icky things."

"That's the good thing about being adopted and having a single 'mom'," Megan said, chuckling. "No one to imagine things like that." She looked towards the sky. "So, what about me?"

"That's the sum of my life." Megan said, shrugging. "I'm afraid I'm not as...complicated? as you are. I...have a cat?"

"Complication is in the eye of the beholder... or something to that effect. I think. What kind of cat?"

((Sorry this took so long to reply too. ^_^; )) "Something like that. And just a mutt cat. Er...I hope that's an okay term to use. We found her as a kitten a few years ago, just wandering around our yard, so we fed her and she stuck around. She's a little calico kitty too." Megan nodded. "She...doesn't really have a name. We just call her 'Cat' or 'Kitty.'" She shrugged. "We're creative."

The pale girl smiled at her. "An okay term? I don't think there's a problem with it. I mean mutt is just a word for mixed heritage, I don't think that it's reserved just for dogs. And even if it is mostly associated with dogs I know some other people who use the term for themselves and they're human."

"I wasn't sure if it was a sensitive term. I mean, your father's a werewolf, right? I wasn't sure if it was a word that wasn't really a good word or not..Ah, I've confused myself." Megan laughed slightly.

"Quite a few in my family are were's yes. But the word doesn't bother me too much. If you said it to them they wouldn't be bothered either. Just if you call -them- that, that would be the only time that we might get upset. Make sense to you now?" Faye smiled at her warmly.
