"no karin, as much as you want, i can't let you go with the Doctor. You don't know what it's like, and you're probably the only person in here that knows where to go and how to get your brother out from his current state of mind. I've made my decision." she said firmly, stepping aside from Mariea and walked up so she stood facing them, next to the doctor. "i can't bear seeing the two of you apart, not after what i've gone through losing my own brother. promise me you'll stay." she said softly. She didn't have a problem going with the doctor, as much as she hated it, if it was the only way to let them go. But the one thing that bugged her was that he watned to take Crow with him too. Crow was already a perfect experiment, what more could the doctor want to do with him already.

"I guess it's up to the doctor, then." Karin said, shrugging her shoulders. Strobe looked at what he perceived to be an illusion of his long lost sister. Why, no, how could a mere construct show such self sacrifice? It made no sense. And, slowly, the binding around his mind began to unravel.

"no it's not." she said turning to the Doctor. "please doctor, don't take her away from her brother. he needs her!" she pleaded him. She remembered the time when her brother, Ryo, and herself were first taken captive. she was so young, she depended on her brother all the time. Growing up in the lab was much easier than her, she was made to think that everything was right, while Ryo, being older and can remember whenever he would disobey. She would never leave Ryo, and then, there was the time when he was caught sneaking out of the Lab. it had been so perfect before, no one noticed him, and he would bring back books for her, but it happened, he was caught. and the worst possible punishment was death. What was even worse, was that she was there to watch him die. It was unbrearable.

Crow kept a tight hold on Strobe as he, Kioko, and the doctor spoke of negotiations. Feeling that it would be best if Strobe could speak to his sister for some time, even if he were restrained, he simply nodded to let the doctor know that he would comply with the conditions. He didn't like the idea of going back at all, it brought memories of his trials and tests, the work done on him, and all of the horrible deeds that were done with his own hands. In the end they would not fall however, all of his friends would be free someday. For now he waited as Doctor K defined his terms.

Doctor K swept his hand back, preparing for their leave. He was not impatient, but the constant debates were pointless at this period in time. "The terms at this point are not negotiable, my intentions are hindered by the simple fact that I only ask for two of you, and the two that I take are essential in who they are. The idea is concrete, I apologize for my urgency upon these conditions, but I believe I have been more than accommodating." He waited only a moment more for last words.

Kioko nodded simply with an expressionless face. She tried hard not to look saddened, but she had to. if it was the only way for them to leave, then it had to be done. sacrafices had to be made for the true goal to be completed. looks like i won't be able to see the real world like you said after all Ryo. she thought to herself. She looked at them one more time with worried eyes that soon glazed back into somber expression. she was going to miss them, and strobe, even if he was frustrating to deal with right now. It just saddened her to think that the last memory he will have of her was of him being mad at her. "looks like i can't go on any further than here, take care alright?" she said to the rest of the group. turning to Karin, she eyes Strobe. "take care of your brother, he needs you now more than ever. don't give up on him." she said smiling.

Karin nodded her head, a tear going down one eye. Although she had known her for less than 24 hours, Kioko had shown herself to be a wonderful, caring person. It was no wonder why she was their leader. "I will, Kioko. Count on it." Strobe kept quiet as things unfolded, for him as well as the others. Logic, more than speculation began to dictate his actions again. Things started to make sense. And, with his newest memories still fresh in his mind, Strobe was starting to feel like crap.

Crow had no choice at this point, he uncurled his arms from around Strobe's shoulders and walked briskly over towards where Kioko stood. Subtly dropping the vial of liquid he had taken hold of near Karin's feet. In the usual parting manner he turned towards the group, Strobe now included once again and gave a two fingered salute before they left again. If he'd had the ability, he would have told Strobe to get well soon.

"it's okay Mariea." she said chuckling at bit at the childish antics she was doing. "i chose this, and i can't go back now, it was for the good of the group to be able to get out, and besides, i wasn't a very good 'leader' if i let all this happen right?" she said quoting the word leader with her hands.

"Sorry for attacking you guys." Angelo said to Kioko and Crow, shrugging his shoulders. "If I had known what they were going to do to Strobe, I wouldn't have. I thought they were just going to talk to him, honest. And, if not, offer him the same deal as last time. Just thought I should say that, in case I never see you guys again." "Sorry..." Ventus said, nodding, his index finger tugging at his lip.

"Alright, that's enough. It is time to go." Doctor K brought his arm back behind him, then swung it out slowly in front of himself in a crescent motion. "Take care of each other, now. I would like my efforts to be realized in full." The words aimed at no one were the last he spoke before a wave of the black mist from his hand collided with the group of experiments.
Crow and Kioko would find themselves in a hallway-like room. It resembled a small library of sorts. Connected by a narrow hall were two circular openings, the larger one held an ornate desk with countless books piled upon it. The other opening was filled with laboratory equipment both large and miniscule. The walls were bookshelves filled to the brink with texts, if one were to look they were mostly documents on experiments, and their origins.
The other experiments, however, would have become relocated at the edge of town. Strangely, it would be the evening once again when they arrived.

Kioko covered her eyes from the mist, and reopened them as soon as she thought it cleared. Looking around the room, her eyes scanned both tables. The room was amazing, it held many information by the looks of it, but at the same time, it brought her a sense of being afraid at the moment. "where are we?" she asked the Doctor

Crow stared straight into the black mist as his friends disappeared into it. For a moment, as the mist passed he saw himself pass through another dimension, constructed of chaos and nothing more. He only caught a brief glimpse before he found himself standing in a hallway lined with books as the last of the mist passed. He heard Kioko ask a simple question and quickly looked over his shoulder at her, he too wondered where they had been taken. He wasted no time in cautiously browsing the titles and appearances of the documents along the walls.
