Seph nodded "Yeah that left him with a few aches and pains over the years but from what I gather her family strongly disapproved of him and neither one of her brothers were particularly nice. Even tried to kill him at one point so moved away and none of his kids ever met family on their mums side. Just be glad that you wont have any of that with me and maybe give the old guy some credit. Not everyone gets that level of problems with the in laws"
Hebal shrugged "It's ok you don't have to do much. Theres basically this gel stuff that you rub in then rinse so takes about 5 minutes. Though if you wanna do something to help I guess you could do the spots on my back that I have bother reaching. Otherwise I'll be fine and back on a moment. It was the moogles that invented this thing though. Apparently something about it was highly addictive to moogles and the mognet went into chaos once because the boss of it got hooked on the stuff nut it doesn't have the same effect on viera so it was all just made for us in the end" she explained with a giggle.
Amane's ear twitched surprised at the sudden contact "Well ok we'll be sure to go there on pilgrimage and maybe we'll get to see some of those knights in shiny armour though I still think Yithra should get back into that sort of phase. So what sort of stories do you talk about in Yithra for fairy tales if knights and dragons aren't your thing?" she wondered.

Hayate chuckled "Well your marriage isn't exactly popular in the nobility and annoy one enough and you'll probably find a good few assassins at your door one night. Even if you don't want to mingle with them socially its still better to make some friends. Would make life a lit easier for the king too if he's not having to constantly defend you"
Felina rolled her eyes "No need to try and scare him with the assassins thing as that's a very rare occurrence. But... he is right at least try to be nice until we're married and nobody can try mess it up. Though if your that bothered I'll comb your hair for you. It's all flat from wearing your beret all the time. If you miss it that much Cid can be our hat stand" she joked.
Satoshi smiled petting Enkidu on the couch guessing he was wanting his own turn at receiving attention "I think you would be good at it with your many arms though don't think you would need too many lessons. I wouldn't know what to do if I hung up my sword. Not for a solid career anyway for being a ninja has been my whole life"

Oassu flinched slightly shocked at the mention of assassins "I-I'm sure no one would dare try something like that!" he protested "Still I was hardly going to be intentionally rude to folks but what should it matter, none of us are going to really have any business with the court I think so why should they bother the king about us or otherwise" he frowned wondering just how many interested parties there were.
Gil smiled "Well perhaps I'll take some in my spare time but you'd be fine if you retired" he said loosening the scarf around his neck to let some more air in "You have at least two marketable skills in your clothes and art so you hardly need to worry about going hungry or poor" he said removing his hands from Satoshi "Still we can't kick about here all day lets see about getting ready to go" he said moving to the window to enjoy what little breeze there was.
Itaka frowned "True though I suppose in that case you could just decide a trial though pretty heartless of her family to set him a task that would either kill him or reduce his life expectancy by a bit" he muttered as another beer arrived "Would you like another a drink?" he offered
Jeckhart paused seemingly uncertain for a moment before nodding in agreement "Yes I'll help..." he mumbled before moving on swiftly "Well that certainly sounds like quite a mishap for the moogles" he said thinking some were probably still addicted "Is it not good for Nu Mou fur either?" he asked.
Zadina paused for a moment in thought "Well...actually we probably share a lot of tales about the spirits of the forest and the fey, with a few tales about great warriors from the age of the Demon War but mostly folklore which I suppose makes sense seeing how we are tree people originally" he said with a snicker.

Seph paused thinking things over a moment "Hmm... I'll take a glass of red wine thanks" she ordered thinking it would make a nice chance. "Well not all demons are nice or fond of people outside their own little clans. And well.... if anyone can relate to Oassu's relationship with Felina in terms of other peoples opinions, it is Alpha. Same thing really, she was seen as well above him. But Alpha is a fighter he's still gonna be ticking at least a few more decades. Hope so anyway cause he's the closest thing I have to a father myself" she admitted.
Hebal shrugged but grinned upon hearing Jeckhart agree to it "That's great, just let me know when you are ready and we'll get it out the way for you" shetold him with a small salute. "Now nu mou are funny, they don't tend to care much for beauty products. Instead they work on making their own potions and magic to do that kind of thing though most of them don't care for that sort of thing"
Amane hesitated "Hmm... well those tales from the demon war are probably based on real people and stories since for you elves barely anytime has passed between now and the demon wars. Your cousins were probably all children during that time. But that's one thing we have in common, lots of stories of spirits, theres even a few stories about elves too" she cheerfully added.

Hayate groaned "Let me put it to you this way. Before you came in on the scene. Probably a third of the people who will be showing up later would have been possible suitors for Felina had she gone down the normal route. Thus you have a lot of annoyed nobles that you have robbed them of the opportunity to move up in the world which contributes to your lack of popularity as a whole"
Corella sighed "Guess that means no pressure for me later being the only one untaken. Maybe I'll just sneak away half way through the party and have some fun of my own and go hunt out the best view of the fireworks from around the palace"
Felina smiled putting her hand on Corella's shoulder "Hey relax a little there, it wont be so bad and your still a bit young for anything like that anyway. Though if you choose to do that I expect to hear if you can find any good hiding spots I don't know about or that prove to be better than in the library"
Satoshi yawned reluctantly getting up from the couch "Come on Enkidu, no time for rest apparently so no point settling down there" she chuckled shuffling behind Gil. Just let me have a moment" she told him before slipping her top off while he was looking out the window to change into something more suitable.

Oassu smirked "Well guess I just had a better pitch than most eh?" he said pleased with his accomplishment "Still I'll keep an eye out for assassins now you've mentioned it and I'll behave tonight though I imagine if they are cross with me for Felina then I doubt any amount of niceties will solve that gap" he said.
Gil smiled "Well you're welcome to have a shower or something if you like while we're here" he said turning back from the window before swiftly continuing to turn back to the window blushing "Though you have to let me have a shower after you if we are stopping" he muttered focusing his attention on the sky.
Itaka nodded "I'm sure he'll be fine for a bit otherwise he wouldn't be so able to travel but I guess that's fine for him, those guy are going to have some trouble I bet, Oassu can't keep his job a secret from her mother forever and I bet some of the elven council would outright forbid the marriage if they knew" he sighed.
Zadina nodded eagerly "Sure we can go now if you like but I'm sure there's some Nu Mou who care about their fur's appearance but perhaps you'd like to give Amane a mother-daughter beauty session after for the ball, I'm sure she'd appreciate it" he said glancing over at the kids.
Zadina giggled "I know I find it funny how some of the human kingdoms consider us as fairies and mystical creatures as well but yes we have the spirits of the forest then all the elven gods and things like that" he said nodding in agreement "I bet being from the forest we probably share a lot of them too" he said excitedly.

Hebal hesitated glancing over at Amane "Oh nah she hates the stuff, doesn't like the feel of it but I put some powder in her fur earlier to make it all nice and soft if not shiny" she explained before bouncing off briefly to her room to retrieve what we needed. "Oh we're going to have a right girly time picking her up a really cute dress and maybe the odd cloak and a few gifts for back home. Nothing like a good but of shopping. Nu mou sure like their fur by the way, just not so shiny. They just want it to look as effortless and natural looking as possible" she added while she remembered.
Amane gasped surprised a moment "Umm... I never knew anyone saw as fairies. That's a new one to me but I have heard us being called mystical before and compared to forest spirits because of our close bands without forests. We viera only have three gods though unlike you guys. One for earth, one for sea and one for sky. Not too complex at all and most of us don't even follow the religion anymore"
Seph sighed in agreement with Itaka "Yeah Oassu's best bet would to either retire from thieving completely or get fully into ninja things for a living like Satoshi's or eventually it will catch up to him. Wouldn't want to be him when her mother finds out. Seems the type of women to be pretty damn scary when mad" she snickered.

Seph shrugged happy with her replacement outfit "I'll be fine don't worry. This is actually rather mild for this time of year. I just changed into something a little more loose for walking around as we hit the heat of the day. Anything interesting out there catch your eye" she added walking over to Gil once done curious as to what he was looking at.
Heyate laughed quietly "Well now you get the idea to be a good little commoner, it is probably time for me to take off also. As much as I would absolutely love to sit and hear the noblemen whine on about their latest clothes, I have my own family to go visit and that means a good walk to the temple. You get the idea, too much to do and too little time. Felina has your present from me"
Felina paused "Hmm... oh yeah think I left it in the room. Theres a small pile there but we were late up this morning so rushed out and forgot to open anything. But thanks for whatever it is. I'll also keep Oassu in check so don't get too stressed" she teased.

Gil shook his head "Nope nope just admiring the weather" he muttered quickly before turning to pull Satoshi into a big hug and a kiss "Just enjoying the holiday I suppose though I guess I'm lucky this weather is mild lest I might boil here" he said picking Satoshi up with his lower arms to cuddle her.
Oassu sighed watching Hayate go somewhat enviously "Well thanks Hayate" he added waving goodbye before turning to Felina "It's not going to be as bad as everyone is making it out to be will it?" he asked nervously before shaking his head dismissing the thought "Still lets get that lunch take my mind off the issues later and see your parents" he said changing the subject.
Jeckhart nodded following after Hebal into her room "Yes Yithra is pretty good for elven fashion there's only one elven city better for it" he said looking around Hebal's room from the doorway "Amane is lucky to have a mother like you to take her out on such trips" he said.
Zadina smiled "Well it's not really something I know much of, I had to learn a little as I studied white magic, white mages get lectured a lot on things like that though I imagine most of your education would be about the different summons yeah?" he said lying down on the couch and looking up at Amane.
Itaka shook his head "I don't even think they'd accept Ninja as an acceptable option it's hardly known as an honourable profession but yeah his mother hardly seems to like him which is big talk considering she's hardly of noble blood either" he said

Seph laughed "Well I am guessing she came from a pretty posh family and snob as she may seem. The only people who like thieves are themselves or thieves belonging to the same guild. Even thieves don't generally like other thieves. Pretty much the same goes for ninjas and assassins. Remember what you were like when you first met Satoshi afterall and she's still more honest than some of the people we know" she pointed out in the queen's defence.
Hebal hesitated going through her draws "Well... given the circumstances me and Amane don't get to spend a lot of time together so I try to make it as fun as possible for her. We've not been at the dragon festival together for three years. The forces of darkness don't rest for the holidays" she told him waving the jar she had been looking for in the air. "You can come in if you want, Alpha made sure my room didn't look too bad. Even had a sense of humour in case you haven't noticed" she changed the subject pointing to the duvet on her bed covered in a carrot pattern. "So watch what I do a moment starting with the legs. "I like elven fashion with all the capes and swishy clothes so I might get something myself. Perfect for adventurers like us"
Amane nodded watching Merric hopping back and forth across Zadina with a small giggle "Yeah it was mostly about the summons and about nature stuff like how to look after plants and mend bird wings if they get broken. Theres maths and things too just not as much as the other stuff. Hey Zadina... do you think we could maybe go out on deck before it gets too cold later?"

Felina paused "It could go either way really. Just keep your head up and don't give them any reason to be mad at you and you'll be just fine" she assured him squeezing his hand. "Hey Corella, we're going to head off and get something to eat. I'm sure you don't need us to escort you round the palace from here right."
Corella nodded having guessed that she was starting to overstay her welcome "Yeah I'll be fine, it's my house too and the guards have been watching us ever since we got through the gates from afar. You go enjoy that lunch and I'll meet up with you later. I'm probably going to nag dad into letting me check out the festival during the daytime" she planned then bowed and headed off in the same direction Nares had disappeared into.
Satoshi gasped having been caught off guard though didn't take long to return the affection "If the weather was any hotter you and me would be getting ready for bed a couple of hours until it was more manageable, or we would have spent most the day in my parent's pool or something. The heat at least hasn't taken away your talent for sweeping girls off their feet at least" she added jokingly.

Oassu rolled his eyes not quite satisfied with the response "Well that'll have to do I suppose just keep an eye on me tonight and get us out of there as soon as possible, wasn't really bothered until I was told there will be folks actually out to cause trouble for me" he sighed waving Corella off.
Gil smiled giving Satoshi one more kiss and a swirl "Well who could resist sweeping a beautiful woman like yourself away when you incite such passion" he chuckled as he placed Satoshi down on the ground again "Though I don't understand why would be be getting ready for bed if it was hotter? The pool idea sounds much more pleasant" he said releasing Satoshi.
Itaka shrugged "I suppose so lets just hope she turns out alright in spite of everything" he said glancing over the candles and condiments at Seph's plate to see if she had finished "We good to move onto dessert then?" he asked.
Jeckhart swallowed hard as he watched Hebal rub the cream in before finding the words to speak "Well sure I'm sure a lovely auburn cloak would make you look even more radiant Hebal" he said stepping in from the doorway and shutting the door before noticing the decor Hebal had mentioned "It is a little funny I suppose but some Viera might find that a bit offensive" he thought before realising he should be paying attention to Hebal and watching her demonstrate.
Zadina emitted a small "oof" as Merric hopped about "Feels heavier when he does that but I meant isn't there a great rich mythology behind every summon and the like?" he asked sitting up "Well we probably could if Cap'n Alpha thinks it's ok" he said glancing over at the old demon.

Hebal laughed but nodded her head in agreement "Yeah most viera probably would definitely be offended but then again I think it is safe to say I am not like most viera. I mean I cant even hear my forest speaking" she shrugged moving her hand up her legs. "I know its maybe not the best taste but he really went out of his way to make each room more personal to us. See how the other half is decorated differently? It's cause I share a room with Mari and that's her side. So try not to touch those things. Alpha may be a weird demon but I think he means well most od the time"
Alpha looked up wondering for a moment why he was being watched "Oh yeah sure you guys can go on deck if you just follow the rules like no messing about on the railings. Wouldn't let Mu out there if it weren't suitable after all"
Amane smiled happy with her answer "Yay, thanks Captain!" she saluted him before picking up Merric. "Best keep him on the lead while on deck so he doesn't slide under the railing or at least keep hold of him the whole time but yes I was taught all about the summons and where to find them and maybe the odd legend to go with that has been confirmed to be at least part true"
Seph nodded stretching out her arms "Yeah Im good for dessert now I think. Still not our business to pry into it and worst case scenario he has a few people watching over him. I mean Hayate can look as grumpy as he wants but its pretty obvious he's bee watching his back. And Elithana's fiancé can probably relate to him somewhat. But that's given me an idea for a wager. I would like to be that some day in future Felina will make an honest man out of him. Wanna take me up on that?"

Felina smiled softly at Oassu as her arms wrapped themselves around him "Hey we'll get through this. Not everyone is evil and you are a incredibly charming man when you want to be" she reassured him with a kiss on the forehead "So where can I take you for lunch. Would you like it inside or outside the palace. We can eat anything you like" she changed the subject.
Satoshi sighed for air before giving Gil one last kiss of her own "That's what we do I the middle of the day. When asleep you don't have to worry about the heat so when we need to be running around and doing things that warm us up, we prefer to do it when colder so we work more into the nights" she explained whistling to Enkidu to hopefully get him moving. "So how about we get moving for the sooner we do, the sooner we can hit that pool. Hope you like barbeques by the way."

Oassu smiled gently as Felina cuddled him "Well that's awful kind of you to say dear but alright I'm sure it'll go fine if I just turn on the ol charm" he said happily turning into Felina's arms to return the hug "Still we should probably eat in after all you haven't even seen your parents today" he suggested.
Gil frowned "That sounds like an unusual little way of doing things but I'm not really one for napping" he shrugged whistling to Enkidu who hadn't appeared to answer Satoshi's call "And I'm sure barbeques are fine enough though I've never really attended one before" he said moving towards the door waiting for Satoshi to go first.
Jeckhart nodded moving away from Mari's half of the room "Certainly an intriguing design but I won't go examining her room while she's not here it would be rude" he said moving closer to Hebal "Though I think you are a fine person whether you can hear the forest or not Hebal, you'd not be the delightful person you are now if you hadn't learned about the world outside your forest" he said.
Zadina nodded picking up Merric "I wouldn't let him walk about out there the winds might pick him up or he might run off in search of some nice treasure knowing him" he said following Amane "Still I think all those little stories would sound really cool and amazing as opposed to the fairy stories" he said happily
Itaka snorted "An honest man? All that lad's known is the thief's life I doubt he'll turn around just because his princess says he should," he said "I wouldn't say it's a safe bet by any means" he said smirking "Still true Elithana has sort of went the peasant route as well I guess so at least they won't be totally secluded, not like her sister won't stand up for her" he said
