Some dude's playing Alucard from Hellsing in the tournament? Doesn't that guy just come back from everything no matter what every single time without fail?
At least that's what I've heard. I never got to actually watch or read any of Hellsing.

No, you can. Here's a step by step list of exactly what to do from this page. If you follow it exactly, you'll be fine.
1. At the top of the page, choose the first heading. "My Gaia"
2. The second row of headings will drop down. Choose "Profile."
3. When you arrive at the list of things you can do, choose "Account".
4. At the very bottom, the last option, you'll see "Choose Profile". Switch it to "Old School".
5. Save changes, and presto! You're good to go.

I've never actually read any Hellsing. My friends are big into it though... I figure if he is unkillable, they'd just tweak the character.

I just read a list of his abilities on Wikipedia.
That dude is tricked-out to the max.
I guess you'll just have to reduce him to less than "paste" to beat him(As the article said he could pull himself back together even when reduced to that). I heard he came back from being nothing but a puddle of blood in the anime as well.

To beat the players who are recreating anime characters, all you have to do is watch the episode, or read about it, where they inevitably die, or come close enough to it. Then just recreate whatever happened.

Except, according to the wikipedia article, Alucard has become known as possible "too powerful" because he never ever seems to come even close to defeat or reveal any viable weaknes.
According to what info I have agthered, anyhow.
And as for the warranty, you know everything is programmed to self-destruct as soon as that runs out. I'm no fool.
