It was my first day of being a member of Team Aqua. I walked down to the hall to check something in my room when I saw to my left, a fellow aqua was studying a large screen. Walking over to him, I asked
“What’s that?”
“Oh, this board? It shows the missions you can do to help out here.”
“Oh, thank you.”
The Board showed all kinds of missions, such as catching certain pokemon that HQ needed, infiltrating rival team’s bases, and stealing technology or plans. All of it required either stronger pokemon or more knowledge of Team Aqua. But one caught my eye.

“Night Raid on Devon” It read. Apparently HQ needed more pokenavs for their TADS System, so they needed to “Borrow” more from Devon Corporation. Devon doesn’t seem tough, I thought. Just a few guards, and then the prized pokenavs. I accepted the mission, and took off for the exit.

All the bikes were parked on the side of HQ, so I grabbed one and took off. It happened to be a dull hours ride as most of it was uphill, and all the trees looked the same all the way down. And soon enough, Rustboro City was in sight.

Wonder how the security is, I thought to myself as I parked the bike behind a bush.

“It’s only 9:30! This will take longer than I expected! Ah, shoot!” I covered my mouth hastily. Didn’t want to look suspicious too early on.

The first thirty minutes were boring. Not even throwing rocks was that fun. But the last rock I grabbed wasn’t a rock. I don’t think rocks were black, with red eyes and a skull for a face. Wait…..

“What the? Woah!”

I jumped clear from Hoenn to Kanto when I saw that, thing. It was a Duskull! And apparently it wasn’t happy. I wouldn’t be either if I was going to be used as a rock.

“Go, Clawp! Water gun!”

The stream of water blasted Duskull right in the face.

“He’s open, water gun again!”

Clawp did nothing.

“Water gun! Erm, Clawp?”

The Corphish was frozen in fear. And I understood why. In front of him wasn’t a small angry Duskull. A Hideous face took it’s place.
“He’s using scary face! That face isn’t real! Be strong Clawp!”

The Duskull couldn’t wait. It blasted a shadow ball right at clawp.

“Clawp get up! Water gun”

The Corphish could not give up! It blasted a stream into duskulls face again, knocking it into the yellow! But the Duskull was still in it. It blasted a shadow ball, but it ha dless strength, and Corphish dodged it easily.

“Lets end this! Go, pokeball!”

The ball hit Duskull with a thud, and it started to rock. It tilted back and forth, until it finally stopped.

“All right! I caught a Duskull!”

I was so happy I didn’t even notice that it was now pitch black. And then the back light lit on my TADS. It was Already twelve! I dodged the lights on the way into Rustboro. But at the Devon gate, there was no one there. The sight was unnerving. But, this had to be finished.

I checked several windows along the side but nothing budged. There, on the second story I saw it. The window was half open. Who seriously is watching out for me, I thought as I climbed in.

The room was filled with computers, this had to be a research room. But there was no sign of a Pokenav storage. Looks like it’s time to search myself, I thought. There was a door on the far right. I peeked through the doors window, and opened it. Treading through the hall was dangerous, but efficient. All of a sudden I could hear voices to the left! I jumped into the nearby room.

Just my luck, it was the janitors closet. But you had to admit, sitting on mops was comfy. Outside, the two guards passed. They said nothing useful except something about the third floor. It’s worth a shot I thought to myself. The stairs were down the hall to the left, and once up them, on door stood in front of me. The sign near it read; Nav Tech. This had to be the place! The door was locked.

“Go, Duskull. Fade through that door and unlock it.”

The tiny ghost flew into the door itself, and there was a slight click. The door opened.

“Thanks. Stay out though, I’ll need you.”
It replied, “Dusk”

The room was pitch black. But hey, it had boxes.
“Duskull, find the lights”

Duskull’s glowing red eyes helped a lot here. After a minute, it found, and I turned on the lights. Ironicly, after searching, the box was in front of the door I entered in. The box was about 10 pounds, and was 2x2x2feet. I lifted it, and proceded to the door. But it couldn’t be that easy.

“What the, why is that light on?” A voice said from outside. It was a guard, I assumed. There was only one door, but 3 windows lined the wall. I ran quickly to the first one. I had to make it! I opened up the window. It was a long drop, but there was a tree below. I returned duskull and threw the box into the tree. Then, I did the bravest and stupidest thing I’ve ever done. I jumped.

If you’ve ever jumped into a ball pit, it felt like that. Only, it hurt like hell. I reached for my pokeballs.
“Go, Phist!”

The Machop looked up at me from the tree waiting.

“Carry this!”

I threw the box down. It handled it like the box was a feather! Me and Phist ran. The gate was in sight! Then a guard walked in front of it.

“Out of the way!”

I knocked the guard down. He may have been hit hard, but it wasn’t enough. The warning was made. It felt like days as we ran to the edge of Rustboro, but it was only 5 seconds. I grabbed the bike, put machop in the back with the box and pedaled. There was no looking back as I headed to HQ.
