Spork: The way I read them in was less confusing, which was what I gave to Road.
But Higurashi in both anime and manga is divided into four question arcs that are separate from each other and four answer arcs also separate and belong to their proper problem arc.

So... it doesn't really matter what order you watch/read them in as long as you read the question arc with its corresponding answer arc?
