;Beings to shake violently and foams at the mouth.;

Can I have someone (HINOTE) play an NPC for me at the Kirigakure Academy, since it seems like no one wants to move.

As a side note, Hinote is now officially awesome for several reasons.

Well, that's too vague for me...
I'm not sure, I know who you're talking about....
You're going to have to be more clear than that if you need someone's help Meta... =/

Why is Hinote awesome?

I don't know why exactly, ever since I read his ******** personality for the NPC in Iwa, I've come to realize that he's awesome, for no specific reason at all. Of course, one of the reasons is that he's a more competent role player than I am, and he likes to ******** people in the skull with criticism, which makes me giggle. (( Probably sounds too harsh. ))

Maybe you could help me Shira? xD

I've been watching this guy for awhile, but this is by far one of his funniest episodes. (( It's at the end, but watch the whole thing anyway. ))

Shira is about to get really smart. (For those of you that don't know; I have a high IQ, I just don't use it that much, because I frankly find it boring)

Anyway...
I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE LAW OF GRAVITY!

We've all seen in movies, anime, TV shows, ect when someone is pushed off a cliff, out of an airplane, whatever and they fall from a high distance and the person falls down to the ground only to be caught by falling onto something the hero is riding at the last second, like another airplane, or a flying buffalo, or something and they ride off into the sunset?

What the f*ck?

Theoretically, this is incorrect. If you fall from from say, two miles in the air, you fall at a rate of 9.8m/s^2. Say I fell from a height of two miles. Taking in the fact the amount that I weigh, and my height, I would hit the ground at the speed of 251.31m/s; which means I would look like a human pancake. Now If I was caught by, say, someone with an open hood airplane, half a mile before I would hit the ground, I would hit the airplane at the speed of 217.55m/s.

If you apply logic to this statement, that would mean, even going that fast, I should die hitting the airplane and be turned into a human pancake still.

Yet, I still see people surviving falls by being caught. Thus, either the Law of Gravity is wrong, or Hollywood is the reason why people are idiots.

*Long post*

*Sigh*
I think you mean you have a problem with the usage of the law of gravity in Hollywood films. Not the law itself. But I could be wrong...

Anyways.
What you have to realize is that it is a movie/TV show/Anime made for personal entertainment.
They are created to escape from the boring drone of real life...
...They don't actually have to abide by the strict laws of reality.

Trying to argue the physics behind "Hollywood Laws" is an entirely pointless subject that ultimately leads to nowhere.
(Or more commonly two geeks with far to much time on their hands battling it out with fake LARPing swords...)

Also, using IQ as a means to proclaim your level of intelligence is like using your body weight to proclaim your level of fitness.
Sure they both are related to the main point.
But they both ignore far to many factors that will affect the end result.

(Also before this explodes into some form of an argument.
Allow me to post a little disclaimer.
I don't actually hate those whom I argue against, nor do I set out to find flaws in their statements merely because of who they may be.
I just love arguing for the sake of arguing...)

No, I get it. Hollywood takes every rule science has ever created and threw it out the window...
But then there are people that fall forty stories and wind up with only a couple of broken bones and two weeks in the hospital.

I'm just wondering of there is more to the Law of Gravity than meets the eye. Like do things fall at the same speed, if there's an air current? Law says that it does, that air doesn't effect how fast something falls, but if I dropped a marble and feather off the same building, the marble would hit the ground first before the feather due to air currents keeping the feather up longer...

And I'm wondering if a strong enough wind on a high place would delay the person and act as a jet stream, pushing the person up and keeping him from falling faster...

Which just totally screws with the Law of Gravity.

*wants to push somebody off of a building on a windy day now to test this hypothesis*

@Kaze- I'm ranting about the Law of Gravity and how I found a flaw in it...

A flaw? What might this flaw be?
