You could say that...I'm not sure if I have the right to start a rant topic though....I tend to lurk more than post....just some things going on with my parents...well mostly my dad...right now...

I know how that feels. I've been getting into verbal fights with my dad since he got back from Afghanistan. . .

Well my dad came home drunk and bloody, he has no clue what happened or how he got home...he was crying...and that's something I've only seen him do once before when my grandma, grandpa, and uncle were killed. I actually had to go over and hold him....it's heart wrenching to see my dad in such a state...I almost cried while I was holding him. He's so scared that he hurt someone...and my mom just kept yelling at him to get cleaned up and to go to bed....(my parents my split up so yeah..)

Damn. I'm relieved I won't have to worry about that kind of thing. Well, at least the drunk AND bloody part. My dad only drinks with his friends, so no worries there. . . I don't think I'd be of any comfort to my father though. . . I'm really heartless.

Oh, my mom would be his only comfort, I'm sure. . . ~glares at my own uselessness~ Oh well, I have enough on my plate, already. . . I hope no one expects me to have seconds.

I'm glad that my Mom and Dad are not that bad... but I did have a step-Father that was a Raging alcoholic... It was NOT a good time in my life.

@Rica: Anytime ^^ It's no problem, I know what it's like to just need someone to listen to. . . Don't we all?
@Kusa: Yeah, I would imagine so. I'm glad my girlfriend's dad shaped up a bit so I don't have to go move in next door so I can make sure he doesn't hurt her in a drunken rage. =.= The imminent threat that my dad's a high ranking military officer doesn't slow progress down, either.

It's all part of the 3 necessities of life... Food, shelter and. human contact. Also wik: My early childhood is just a blur of chores tears and beatings... and the hardest thing, was my inability to do anything but watch. *Sigh* I was useless to help my mom and sister.
