Maybe. Either option would be satisfying, so it's up to them. They could have a playable demo at E for All....Maybe. Or the ycould play it on the show floor to give us a taste or the versatility of the various control methods and such. Plus they have a ton of new games. It's not every E3 That Nintendo comes out with a lot of new franchises. It's usually a new game from a previously existing franchise, so that's some really good news.

Brawl is not being shown because E3 has been severely downsized. I believe this is because in part of Nintendo's huge success last year, when they completely and pretty unarguably stole the show. If Nintendo showed off Brawl with demos, the show would once again be theirs, and would harm it even more. Nintendo is now focusing on it's other titles. Metroid Prime 3, Super Mario Galaxy will be the focus of the show, along with their new games, previously never mentioned.

True, but if SMG was playable once again and had new details in it, from the great feedback from critics, that alone would probably still steal the show. Still make sense though. But I think they're mostly doing it to show off their new games and what you said could apply to this because if Smash was on the floor, a lot of the other demos would probably be ignored for the most part.
