Seph stared at Oassu "So what did you steal?" Seph asked acting on instinct.
Alpha followed Itaka onto the platform "I'm curious. If it is such a top secret then why did you agree to show us this in the first place?"

Oassu grinned cheesily "Ta da!" he held out the crossbow for Felina. "The crossbow really is designed for dwarves....it's cause of this handle but I can make a few adjustments" he gave it to Felina "Also I got these!" he drew two new knives....double edged like a ninja's shruiken except with a bigger handle for a hand to grip them. "Cool huh? Also I gotta need a new jacket to carry them but I go to the tailors in a second"
Arnhem frowned that they were pressing on the issue "Well you see the drill is not Top secret what is down there is which is why we aren't allowed to take you down to the bottom"
A number of dwarves could be seen now and waved merrily at them.
"They look happy" Itaka noted
"Dwarves in charge of the Flame Driver get a large budget and a large fee. Only the best technicians and miners are allowed to work here so the conditions in the lodge 6-star and since they get paid the most Dwarves enjoy their gold" Arnhem explained

"I think he is trying to impress us" Seph whispered to Felina.
"Dwarves aren't the only ones that like their gold but you guys have a good union to go with it" Alpha replied. He still wasn't happy about all the secrets but decided to cast the matter aside since he knew that asking further questions would cause a decline of good relations with these creatures

Oassu's face fell "Guess you two just don't get knives" he sighed and started to walk down the street

Seph followed Oassu "At the end of the day i have no attachment to them. So i suppose we should go to that tailors"

Oassu looked uncomfortable "Actually I think you had better get Felina back to the inn some of these types look unfriendly"
Arnhem motioned for them to get into the cabin "Thought you weren't taking us down?" Itaka asked
"I'm not but now that you've seen it theres a short-cut to the city a few levels down unless you have any questions?"

Arnhem tapped a few key codes into the console and the drill started to smoke

the flame Driver platform dropped at an incredible speed.
Arnhem grinned once it stopped Itaka was lieing on the floor.
"Ok....a little heads up would been nice!" he moaned

Alpha was a little bit shaken but unlike Itaka he had managed to stay standing "You should have learned by now to expect the unexpected"

"yeah maybe but only while I'm in enemy territory!" Itaka grumbled getting up
Arnhem murmered "from here the path gets more dangerous, recently we've had cave ins and platforms collapsing along this path but it is the shortest route to the palace city though we suspect it's the monsters be on guard!" he warned before lifting a lamp and walking through

"Sounds like you've never been ambished before" Alpha grumbled to Itaka. He cleared his throat "So is there any fiend in particular to worry about or is it just the regular type?" he asked the dwarf

Arnhem frowned "Yes.....shadow creatures tall nimble with odd dark magic. Freaky folk them and not too bad with swords......we suspect the elves" he added ferociously

"It would be unlikely that elves would make all that effort. You would be surprised what fiends can do on their own" Alpha cautiously replied. He stopped walking "Would that be one of them?" Alpha replied pointing at a strange black figure behind him.
