Arlen looked up at the bowl of soup, and then at the door where Lily was a moment ago. Without hesitation Arlen rushed outside, not even stopping for his coat. "Lily."

"What present?" she asked puzzled lookin gup at him curiously. She wasn't sure what he ment. But it was distracting her from other thoughts

Lily, who'd been standing a few feet away, gazing up at the sky, turned at his voice, then gaped. "Arlen! Get back inside! You'll freeze!"
Vincent smiled and sqeezed her gently. "You told me you loved me. Best present I ever got." He bent his head and nibbled on her lower lip before kissing her sweetly.

"I missed you too." He whispered, hugging her back just as tight. He rubbed her ears again, smiling happily, perfectly content for the moment.
Lily shrugged one shoulder. "I haven't seen you in days, and I didn't even get a hug back." she answered, looking to the sky again, then back at him. "Now let's go...I don't want you to be a popsicle!" Lily reached out to take Arlen's hand, afraid he'd get sick again if he stayed out in the cold for too long.

Ukaia sighed happly she was feeling better wit him holding her
"I love you" she whispered quietly again to him. it was safe..they were alone for now. She could relax and say it..

Lily hugged him briefly, then kissed his cheek. "And I'm tired enough that I'm pretty sensative right now...sorry." she whispered, then started to tug him towards the door. "What were you thinking?" she scolded, concern in her eyes. "Without even a coat!"
"Well, I'll find you something nice." He stroked her tail again, pressing a light kiss to her temple. "And I promise, Ukaia, that you will have Yule. I'll do whatever it takes. You missed Halloween for me, but I swear that you'll have this holiday. And the only time you'll be in the bedroom is when we go to bed.

"You in nothing but a red ribbon." Vincent teased, then nibbled on her neck. "Or a book will suit me fine. I like books." He told her, grinning. "I have tons of them, but I'm always looking for new ones."
"I wasn't hurt badly enough for you to freeze yourself." Lily grumbled, though she relaxed against him again, her arms around his waist. "You hate the cold."
