Miharu studied the Mawile curiously, finally taking the PokeDex out of her bag and using it. After hearing what the automated voice had to say, she smiled at the steel Pokemon. "It's nice to meet you," she said. "I've not met many steel-type Pokemon before." Her fingers touched Tingle's Poke Ball, but she wasn't sure what the strange Metang would do if she freed it. Even as a Beldum it'd been a very oddly behaved Pokemon, often spinning around in circles and using its devastating Take Down attack on walls and other solid objects. After rethinking, she left Tingle where he was - confined to his Poke Ball. Out of the three, Lily made the best company, although the Bulbasaur was quick to show off. "What now?" Miharu asked after a while, lightly swinging her legs from her seat. "Do you have some sort of business in Goldenrod City? Oh, I'm sorry," she said suddenly. "It's really not my place to ask, now is it..."

"I thought you might be here for that." Norman said inviting her into the large room the new wooden floor's gleamed in the artificial light provided by the lights above. "4 on 4 battle, you can recall and send out those four as many time's as you wish and free use of item's sound all right to you?" He asked as he made his way to his side of the battle feild in the room. "Oh yeah and any damage's you leave you have to help clean up. The last kid I fought completly ruined my floor and left a big hole in my ceiling." He finished with a small laugh.

Akira looked at Miharu and merely acknowledged her existance. "Don't mind Akira, she's rather, ahem, rude," Rin said looking at the Mawile. Akira's eye twitched slightly the large mouth snapping rather close to Rin's arm. She was clearly did not apperciate being called rude in the least. "Eheheh, be nice now Akira," she said not having moved an inch since the 'assult.' The steel type folded her arms again and looked away, perhaps though the window. Geez, gimme a break once in a while Akira! I don't see why you have to almost take a bite of me everytime I say something. Quickly Rin lifted up her Pokeball returning her in a beam of red light. "I don't mind at all. I'm just going to pick up a contest pass, but I'm afraid I've already missed the contest. So I think, after I grab my pass I"ll go challange the leader of Violet City," Rin said with a quick nod. "I could help you get back to Azalea first if you'd like, seeing as that tree would need to be chopped down."

"Ah. . . It's so beautiful out here, isn't it?" M.A. smiled, stretching her arms as she tipped her noggin straight back and stared at the gorgeous colors in the sky; of course, though, Mary-Anne being Mary-Anne, she couldn't really balance herself in that kind of position for long. The light girl's soon fell on her back on the ground; but it was such a lovely, grassy field that she couldn't mind at all. A little break wouldn't hurt, either, would it? After all, the rest house couldn't be more than fifteen minutes away.
Houndour settled himself beside her, watching her with little expression -- although, there was undoubtedly a spark of laughter in his eyes when she tipped over and fell. That smile of hers was contagious, and Houndour slowly found himself warming up to it, little by little. Yet, everytime he wanted to get close, to nuzzle up, he couldn't help but remember that one day he was hurt by those bad seeds in his clan, and not long after coldly abandoned by those trainers. He didn't have enough strength to even howl, then, despite hearing the howls of his mother and father in the far distance. By the time Michael found him, the clan was long gone, and when Michael couldn't help him find his family either, his inner hope died as well.
"Are you tired, Houndour? I have a couple treats. . . If you're not hungry, we can keep goin' to the rest house, too." Houndour nodded, lying a foot or so away. M.A. lifted a hand to pat his head, but he pulled back at the last moment -- it was a half-reluctant move, though, as if he was almost going to allow that.
"Not yet, huh. . . I'm sorry, then, for pushing it," Mary-Anne murmured, that glowing smile of hers toning down, tinted with just a bit of sadness. She got up, though, and brushed herself off, just as she brushed off that momentary downcast feel. Yet, Houndour couldn't help but feel a tiny bit guilty; he'd stained that happiness just a bit, hadn't he? Even he could sense that.
"Let's go, hmm?"

"Sure thing, although, it might not be me damaging your gym," Mitsu said with an almost sly smile. It might be you with Ebony jump though the walls and such. "And I think I know who you're talking about." She gave a soft laugh before unclipping a Pokeball from the belt that hung loosely around her waist. "Let's get things started," Mitsu said, her face turning a bit more serious, "C'mon out Ivy. Let's have some fun." With a bright flash of red light the Ivysaur came out, it gave a roar ready to aid Mitsu to her next gym badge.

"All those bone-type attacks aren't going to work," Keegan said quietly, a near sinister smirk spreading across his lips. The fiery excitement of battle had charged up inside him, as he couldn't seem to keep still on the battlefield. His voice seemed different, far harsher as he called out for Artemis to use another Wing Attack. The Marowak attempted to retaliate with another Headbutt, only the Swellow was too fast for it, swiftly flying out of reach and turning in the air to look down on her prey. Keegan's enthusiasm was mirrored in the bird Pokemon's eyes as she flew down in a storm of dust and feathers to strike the finishing blow to the Bone Keeper Pokemon. "That's the ball game," Keegan said loudly, holding out his arm for the Swellow to land on as the two celebrated their victory.
Miko sighed, recalling what she thought would have been her trump card. "I didn't think you would have been able to defeat my Marowak," she said coolly, now looking a bit humbled.
"For a second there I thought it was gonna be too easy," Keegan sneered. Artemis chirped loudly in reply.
"Well there's nothing like a sore winner!" Miko huffed, turning on a heel and stalking away.
"And another one bites the dust!" he went on, unaware that his opponent had already gone.

Oak was a bit startled at Toph's revelation and leaned forward a bit to look into the blind girls face. "Amazing, your blind yet you don't use a cane or rely on a pokemon to lead you and yet you manage to be able to get around without any help. How is that possible?" He asked curiosly.
Letting her raven bangs down Toph shrugged, Something happened when I was little and it has allowed me to see with my feet."
"See with your feet?"
"Yeah, I can feel the vibration's of the earth and it form's picture's in my mind." She explained. "I tried to tell my parent's about it but they refused to believe me, it's true though I can 'see' all of your work bench's I can 'see' the pokemon outside and even the one's underground. I set out on this journey to gain my freedom and prove to my parent's that even though I am blind I am not a helpless little girl." She said her voice filled with determination.
The Professor stared at her for a moment befor smiling kindly at the young girl in front of him, forgetting that she couldn't see it. "Well, since you seem so determined I wont tell as long as you check in with me everyonce in a while so I can be sure you are ok. How about I give you something else for your journey, though I am sure your pokemon could take care of you and any other's that you may encounter it is alway's good to know about what you are going up agains't." He said as he pulled out a brand new pokedex and placed it in Toph's hand's. "That is my latest version of the pokedex, just point it at the pokemon and it will tell you all you need to know about it. Why don't you try it out on your pokemon?"

"Hiro!" Kasiya called desperately, feeling relieved when she saw the large striped Pokemon get up again. His eyes still seemed to be glazed over, the confusion still held him. Kasiya bit her bottom lip, and knew that she'd have to rely on Seto to pull of the win. "Shadow Ball!" she told the Persian, who quickly complied, all the while keeping an eye out for any wayward attacks that Hiro might have launched his way. Both Kasiya and Seto sighed when the giant Arcanine merely stood still, big pink tongue lolling out of his mouth stupidly. Seto's attack hit its mark, causing the Grumpig some level of discomfort. It snorted in anger, pointing a small, albeit clawed finger at Seto and launching a strange, rainbow-patterned attack. This Psywave was not as powerful as the first, doing minimal damage. Seto licked his lips, his claws tearing the earth under his paws in anticipation of sinking them into the soft-looking Pokemon in front of him.

Norman only smiled at Mitsu from across the room befor turning serious seeing that the battle was starting. After a moment of thought he tossed out a pokeball to reveal a white angry looking Vigoroth who gave a loud screach as he was let out and beat his chest energeticly all ready hopping from foot to foot full of pent up energy just waiting to be released. "All right Vigoroth, let's start this battle off with a Slash attack!" Norman ordered. The white ape screached again and beat his chest a few more time's befor leaping at Ivy his claw's extended and ready to attack.

Smiling slightly Dante walked up to Keegan, "Good job there Keegan, and you did wonderfully to Artemis." He said raising one hand up to pet the newly evovled pokemon on the head. "But you really should get to a pokemon center, Themis didn't look so well when he finally went down." He said in a more serious tone. " That and it still smell's like Koffing here and I wan't to move." He finished up with a small smirk but was startled slighlty when he saw a Spearow crash down in front of him. "What the-" He started but was interupted by Bahamut who came crashing down landing right next to the bird it had managed to catch and take down. The dragon pokemon looked up at her trainer proudly befor looking down at it's prey again clearly thinking that it would be dinner.
Bending down this time careful about his skirt Dante picked the small bird up. "No, Bahamut we need to take this little guy to the pokemon center." He said in a repremanding tone. Some how he had gotten used to using a more femine part of his voice and was finding it easier to put emotion's into his tone, not that he really used a lot of emotion's in his voice in the first place. Bahamut only looked sad at having it's prey taken from it but got over it at seeing another flying pokemon and screached happily befor flying up to look at Artemis more closely, it was a lot larger then the Spearow she had been hunting earlier.

Knowing fairly well that Ivy couldn't dodge the speedy Vigoroth she decided to weaken it. "Ivy, quickly, use Toxic!" The attack hit it's mark and Mitsu involuntarily cringed as the attack struck doing a fair amount of damage to the Ivysaur. Moments before, however, Ivy shot a burst of purple haze from the pink bud on it's back. The toxic powders falling onto the Pokemon as he made contact, or so it appeared. "Retaliate with a Leech Seed!" Following the purple clouds of poison Ivy shot some seeds in the general direction of the opponent, a few seeds scattering on the battle field. I tried this with Wattson, hopefully it'll work.

Seeing the Toxic powder's hit his Vigoroth Norman smirked slightly as did the Vigoroth. "Bad move young lady." Norman said confidently as he watched the seed's fly through the air as well. "Vigoroth let's show her your Facade attack!" He shouted knowing that the move's all ready considerable attack power would be doubled with the status effect on it. Vigoroth stomped around a few time's befor it started glowing slightly and it charged at Ivy and unleashed a powerful Facade attack, the power of which broke a few floor boards much to Norman's chargrin. "Great, I was hoping that I could go through one battle without having to replace something." He muttered to himself.

The rest-house was soon in sight; it was a cozy, lovely little thing that warmed M.A. to see. What was even better was seeing the elderly lady in front, watering her flowers in the dusk-light.
"Heeeey! Ms. Norwen!" Mary-Anne waved giddily. It'd been a while since she last visited the little rest-house, when Michael had taken them this far and decided to stay the night at the little, motherly lady's abode. After this, however, every rock and sight in all the other routes would be new to her and Houndour.
"M.A.? Is that you, dear? Come over and visit this old granny; this day's getting older faster than I am, y'know!"
Soon, Houndour was sitting comfortably on a lush rug in front of a playful, dancing fire; his paws were just a little sore from all the walking they had done that day, but his heart was lighter than it had been ever before in Hoenn from the exercise and the excitement. He was made for wide, open spaces, after all; the wild never really left him, and it haunted him the long year he had been cooped up in M.A.'s small town.
"Well, Ms. Norwen, I'm not exactly sure where to go yet, really. . . It's kinda silly, I s'pose, travelling without a destination."
"In some people's eyes, it may be, but the travel itself is lovelier than getting from point A to point B, dear." The old lady nodded her head over to Houndour. "He seems to be enjoying it."
"Yep! I'm glad, too. I think I might head over to Lavaridge, to see the hot springs and maybe watch one of the Gym Leader's Battles. Michael tells me about them all the time; he used to be a trainer, too, before he went all contest-crazy."
"Are you planning to be a trainer, dear? First of all, it may be a while before you and Houndour can fight Flannery, though -- she's strong, y'know."
"I know, I just want to see what big battles are like. Maybe I'll try for a gym badge here and there, someday, if Houndour's up to it. . . He likes the battles, after all, I think. But I don't know if I'll be the one to collect all those badges and try to be a champion. It's a bit much for me."
"Perhaps; just watch, though, this journey will tell you what you really want. Oh, but you look so tired just now. Why don't you call it an early evening and take a spare bed? That way, you can head out early tomorrow morning if you'd like."
"Okay, then," M.A. smiled; yeah, she was tired, but if it had been her parents talking and not kind, grandma-like Ms. Norwen, she probably wouldn't have agreed to going to bed at 5 PM or so.

Mitsu held her tounge, she didn't want to be caught swearing. How could I have been so stupid as to have forgotten?! Ivy was stuck by the devastating attack, now considerably weaker than when they had started. "No...it just started," Mitsu said quietly. She took in a deep breath the calm herself down, now was not the time to have a lack of confidence. "Ivy, use Giga Drain!" Mitsu directed. Slowed, but confident Ivy lashed out two vines hoping to make contact and recover a bit of heatlh. If we push him into those seeds on the floor it'll help Ivy gain some stamina back too. If we draw this out the poison can be more effective.

"Sure that sounds great. I'm sure my brother will be fine if we just wait an extra day." She said smiling. "Cool. The three of us should a place to stay." Z said lucking up and seeing that the sun was quickly going down. "Okay let's look for a hotel to stay at, get our rooms and then do a little looking aound tonight then go back to the hotel and get some sleep." Z said taking charge. "Alright!" Summer said following Z's lead enthusiastically. "Whatever." Lyn said setting Amy down on the ground. "Sur." Amy said ina similiar tone to Lyn. "Shino! Come out and help us look!" Z said letting shino out so that it could use it's awesome eyesight to help them find a hotel as it got darker. "Look down the street. Tell me if you see a hotel that we can stay at. "Nin!" Shino said determined. It looked straiht down the street and tried to focus. It's compound eyes ability gave it great eyesight. After a few seconds he saw a hotel about a block away but it said that pokemon were not allowed so he decided to keep it a secret so that he would not have to go back in his ball. After another few seconds he saw another hotel that said it had a few vacancys and a restraunt. "Nin!" Shino said alerting Z that he had found something.
