I just found out what someone's army will be in the campaign,
Imperial Guard
2 vet squads w/ 3 flamers ea - 85 pts each (170 total)
1 lord commissar - 70 points
2 valkyries with rocket pods - 130 pts each (260 total)
total=500pts.
This has me worried, I looked over these units, and...Let me just say, YIKES, but it seems as though these are mainly a mob based unit atk squad.

Gurk. That's more than just a little cheesy to bring in my opinion. The option that rises then is to possibly drop the Fire Dragons in favor of something with a bit more punch. Warwalkers are great and cheap, but you'd have to rearrange your own points a bit. At this point, I would suggest (if you can get the model) an Autarch over the Farseer. Autarch w/Fusion Pistol/Powersword is MUCH less expensive than the Farseer. That's just my opinion, though.

Yeah, that the problem is that what I have bought ATM is
Fire Dragons
Striking scorps.
Eldar Battleforce (1 Warwalker, 1 Wave Serpent, 10 guardians, 5 Dire Avengers)
Farseer council
Rangers
And ATM, since I had to buy a whole new army, is all I got ATM. I am hoping to sell a Necron Monolith (Never opened, still in plastic) and get some money for some more Eldar units razz But yeah, is all I was able to get early, and none of this stuff is painted yet.

So a question on HQs...
I JUST purchased a few moments ago
A Eldar Wraithlord
Eldar Fire Prism
Dark Reapers
and Howling Banshees (I needed another CC Unit)
So now, it comes to a question of HQs. What suggestions does anyone have for a new HQ? I have a farseer and all, but I might need a HQ with more punch. So, I've had a suggestion on Autarch but there are 2 variations in there. I like the idea of a powersword/fusion combo with a jetpack (For easier moving into other units should things go bad). I also had a suggestion for a Eldar Avatar, so I just thought I'd ask anyone's suggestions on a possible 750-1000pt army Eldar HQ?

As far as it goes, both are great choices. Avatars are the fastest Monstrous Creature in the game and pack all kinds of punch. They are, however, Sniper bait.
The bike/sword/fusion Autarch is actually a good unit on its own for the most part. He can swoop around and blast enemies almost single handedly, given the combination of high BS, high WS, and high I.

So I had my 500pt Campaign game today, and was fun.
My team I fielded was as follows:
HQ:
Farseer (1): 55
Abilities: Doom (+25)
Total: 105
Troops:
Dire Avengers (9): 108pts.
Exarch (1): 44
Equipment: 2 Shurikans (+5)
Abilities: Bladestorm (+15)
Total: 142
Rangers (5): 95pts.
Elites:
Striking Scorpions (5): 80
Fire Dragons (4): 68
Exarch: (+12)
Weapon, Dragon Flamer: (+0)
TOTAL: 499pts.
I think I had the advantage as I was allowed to put my Army anywhere since my army was scouting and reading back to the craftworld. Then, the Space Marines could deep strike their entire team in. There were 3 Objectives I had to take, and one of which was I would not be able to take no matter what since I only had 2 squads of Troops. But anywho, My opponent LUCKILY dropped right near my striking scorpions with her snipers, so I LUCKED there, charging in and instantly ripping them all to shreds. However, my Fire dragons were on the otherside of the table, and had to make a long run ahead to catch up with the others. Its only now with my first game of Eldar that I should have been "running" with them, but w/e. Anywho, so, after wiping the squad, my opponent began to fight back, BIG time. She came into my troops with her champlain. This was where it got interesting as all my fire and blade storm on her squad didnt do as much as I hoped. It fact, she only lost about 3 troops from 33 shots!
To shorten it though, she forgot about my snipers, and thus, I was able to pick her off with them the moment she got in range.
In the end, I lost 4 Troops, and her Champlain alone took out 3 of my SSs. I held 2 of the objectives as I got my snipers over to one. And thus, I was able to gain +4 campaign points, aka, +25pts. to my army for each point for next weeks game. So next week, I'll be running a 600pt. army, building on that which I have now.
All in all, The Eldar took down the human SCUM that infest our Galaxy, but their leader got away...Hmph, we'll need to teach them next time...
Now all that is left to ask is this...
What to put in my army that will fill the +100pts. I have?
I was thinking possible a Wave-Serpent so as to move units around faster, but I could also put in a Wraithlord, some Howling Banshees, and some Dark Reapers possibly. I THOUGHT the Wave Serpent could upgrade to a Holo-field, but apparently, I dont think I can. Any suggestions? Keep in mind it MUST be based upon the army I've already fielded.

A Wave Serpent wouldn't be bad, but I'd honestly suggest that you add in some more troops. You said it yourself: you were in trouble for not having another troop squad. Another 5 Rangers would do that easily.

Another 5 Rangers would do that easily. I dont think I plan on buying more rangers for the time. But maybe you have a point, maybe a squad of guardians possibly wouldnt be a bad idea either, or more dire avengers in a squad.

No telling when GW might strike and replace the codex. Their release schedule is short and messy. Skaven, Nids and Beasts of Chaos are the big ones, after that one big ?

Blackened Heart Sucubi quickly anyone! are there rumors of an Eldar Codex coming soon? before i go buy the codex and then it gets Outdatted. I asked the SAME question when I bought my codex in our GWS store In August this year. The Eldar codex I was told was made within 4th Edition, so I see no reason why GWS would be hasty to give them a whole NEW codex so fast.
