I play alto sax, and I absolutly love it!!!
My dad was also a szx player, and him and I would like to get a tenor someday.
And I am slowly teaching myself to play the clarinet (Though I do not have one,.. so my friend lets me use hers occationally <~~~ I think that's how you spell it)
I also play in my school awefully small marching band,.. though we all are family!!! heart

5amtastic I play the Tenor Sax, three years this January. I'm loving it; probably more than any one else I know that plays the Sax. I'm dating a boner, ya that's right. I believe in the interaction of opposite winds. Just because she's a brass doesn't mean squat to me. No, but I love the tenor. Not the best sax, but it gets the job done. lol,.. I'm dating a trumpet player

I need an opinion on buying a alto sax off of ebay. They're all really cheap and stuff and my parents are compeletly set on buying one... Is is a good idea? What are some good brands that I should look for?

 Y'know, my dad used to be in the army and played the sax for quite a while... D: Makes me wonder sometimes why he won't let me play my own sax to this day.
I used to play some in middle school and stuffs, then my dad made me join Choir. >o< I really want to play in my new school's Jazz and Marching Band before I graduate; Whenever I hear my crush play the alto sax, I always get so excited about joining. XD Mainly because I miss playing my saxophone. But yeah. ;~;

i play alto sax so does my sis and my mom so its like a gurl familt tradition alto rulz .........we only have like 2 in our band and when we add the 7 graders to our band we have 4 sax(alto) and i am in first chair well we dont really have chair but i was like the best even when a 7 grader challenged me and i am a 6 grader! apparently i really good.and my mom was too and my sis rocks at it lolz sp rock on every1 l,,l,^_^

Durza the Shade I want to learn tenor. I don't play a sax yet, though. I play clarinet, and tenor's in the same key, so it will be easy to learn; I'm probably going to play it for pep band this year. hey, I play clarinet and learned tenor last last year! It's quite fun. You just have to blow a lot harder on the sax. Improve your lung capacity, man!

i play the soprano and tenor, i'm in three bands: marching, symphonic, and jazz. the funny thing is, in jazz i'm on soprano, but i'm playing first trumpet parts! its pretty cool
