Although he was not lying to Abel, he was a little scared of telling him that he had spilled the beans to Kieran about their affair. With Kieran he understood that he would never be seeing him again. But Abel...he wasn't so sure what reaction he might have. Part of him simply didn't want to know. He would live longer if he remained ignorant. But the other knew as soon as he came face to face with Kieran he would find out about it.

Jakob continued to cry as he expressed his belief in Kieran not returning. On the other end he head a bit of movement and figured it was just Abel adjusting himself as he listened. Although it wasn't late he had no way of knowing if he had actually been asleep or was still in his office where they had left him. Although he felt bad for bothering him, he was the only person he could think of to call. Abel soon questioned him on his belief and he shook his head. "You didn't see him. He was beyond pissed...Like he wouldn't let go of the fact that I was hanging out at your place. He's convinced himself I've been sleeping with you the whole time behind his back."

Talking to Abel did help some, but he was still a wreck. Jakob wiped the tears as they fell. From the other line he continued to hear movement, which made him curious. Here he was pouring his heart out and Abel couldn't sit still long enough to give him his complete attention. "What are you even doing over there?" he asked randomly. Jakob tried not to let his irritation show. He didn't want the only person willing to listen to his sob story hanging up on him.

He sat there quietly, sniffling, as he could hear the jingle of keys and movement of fabric. He wanted to ask. Was he doing what he thought he was? He didn't want to jinx it. Not yet anyway, first he had to be sure. Abel would likely brush him off for asking stupid questions otherwise.

As he listened to Miguel speak, he knew it was better to keep his mouth shut. After all, he didn’t want to hurt Miguel more, by calling out the obvious that they had slept together but only once. Abel knew he wasn’t being completely quiet on the other end of the phone. It was obvious what he was doing, but he wasn’t going to tell Miguel. He found it pointless as he drove away from his house.

Abel listened as Miguel questioned him, ”What does it sound like I’m doing?” He teased Miguel with a question of his own. Abel couldn’t sleep now that he was awake. If Kieran was gone from the hotel, it couldn’t hurt to go see Miguel. He didn’t know if Miguel wanted him to, but he didn’t much enjoy listening to his whining over the phone.

Drivin down the road, he found there weren’t many cars on the road this time at night. Abel continued down the road, he adjusted the road heading toward the hotel. He knew the drive from his house to the hotel wasn’t far, perhaps a twenty minute drive.

He was in no mood to hear Abel tell him he was overreacting. Or something like it was karma for cheating on Kieran. All the same, he didn't want to hear it. He wasn't interested in hearing about how all of this was his own doing. At the moment he felt like blaming his problems on anyone but himself. Unfair as that was, it was the truth.

Jakob listened to the man move and make noise. He couldn't help growing curious. Was listening to him so boring that Abel couldn't be bothered to sit still? He certainly thought so. After questioning him, he wasn't too sure the man would answer. He heard what sounded like a door shutting as well as some other noise. About a minute later Abel asked him a teasing question in return. He hated that he actually got him to smile a little. But as soon as it happened he felt guilty all over again.

"Oh I don't know...I just hear a lot of moving. Were you with anyone?" he replied curiously. Jakob doubted he would get an honest answer. But at least for the moment it was keeping his mind off of Kieran. He didn't know where or what Kieran was doing. But talking to Abel helped. Although he was not his favorite person in the world, he felt oddly comforted by his no bullshit approach to everything.

Abel was hardly annoyed with Miguel. He saw no reason to be after all he was the cause of his problems. Abel didn’t mind if Miguel wanted to blame him, it wouldn’t be the first time. It wasn’t the first time that Abel had slept with one of Kieran’s so called boyfriends. He had done it a few times before. However he had found nothing interesting about the ones before. It had been all meaningless. Although with Miguel he enjoyed his attitude, for what it was worth. Abel found him amusing, like a new toy.

As he drove, he didn’t mind Miguel’s curiosity. After all it was normal, he hadn’t been very quiet on the other end. Abel was driving down the road, away from his house. He couldn’t help but tease Miguel, after all, what good would it do to tell him what he was doing.

Abel heard Miguel question him on the other end. It was almost laughable to think he had been with someone. He didn’t normally bring anyone home, unless he brought them to his basement, or planned to kill them. Abel wasn’t stupid, he didn’t bring dates home, and anyone who was business related ended up dead.

He smiled lightly as he rolled his eyes, as he continued to drive. ”Yes, I was with my lover if you must know.” Abel teased as he lied to Miguel. He had no lover, the idea if he did was laughable. Abel continued to drive getting closer to the hotel where Miguel was staying.

Indeed Abel was the cause of his problems. He didn't need to tell him Kieran's tragic backstory. He didn't need to know that his mother was a junkie and sold her son into prostitution. He could have just left it at Kieran's mother died and had some things to take care of. That could have been it. Instead, Abel felt entitled to spill everything. So much good knowing did for him.

As they continued to talk his tears slowed. He was feeling better talking to Abel. Even though his teasing was somewhat annoying. He didn't mind it too much as he was about the only person keeping him sane at the moment. He knew Abel not to be one for relationships, but that didn't mean he couldn't have been with someone. He didn't know if he had gone out or had someone he saw regularly. In all his searches to find out about him, that kind of information was the last of his priorities.

Abel soon teased him again and Jakob rolled his eyes. "Stop teasing me." he whined. Pouting he could only imagine what sort of person Abel would go after. He would have to be just as bat s**t crazy as he was. "It's not like I know everything you do in your fee time. You could have someone long distance."

Abel's idea of a relationship was good sex nothing more. He saw no need to be with someone. Abel much preferred his own self without the need to care for someone else. He only included a few people in his life. Abel kept his distance from most. However it seemed Miguel was getting beneath his skin. It was terrible to fraternize with his would be killer but he hardly cared.

Teasing Miguel, Abel listened as he whined. He laughed softly as he drove only a block from the hotel now. "Why? When it's so fun." Abel responded teasing Miguel again. He soon pulled into the parking lot of the hotel. Abel turned the car off disconnecting his phone from the Bluetooth.

Getting out of the car, Abel shut the door and locked it behind him. He held onto his phone listening as Miguel spoke again. "Sure, cause torturing someone from a distance is so indulging." Abel teased Miguel some more as he entered the hotel. He made his way toward the elevator to get to Miguel's room.

Jakob wasn't against a sexual relationship. He often found them easier to manage than a normal one. But every now and again he couldn't help wanting to get more involved with another person. Kieran was a perfect example. Aside from some bickering here and there he didn't think anything bad could really happen. It was fun and casual for the most part. But these last two months have been hard to say the least. He too knew it was bad to get involved with Abel. After all, the man nearly succeeded in killing him. But the more he got to know him, the more curious he became.

He whined as the man teased him again. He heard Abel laughing on the other end. Despite his words, Abel teased him again. "Only for you." he whined some more. Jakob listened as there was a moment of silence. It sounded quieter on his end. Like he had stopped moving. There was a little more movement from Abel's end and the sound of a door opening and closing.

Jakob went on to talk about Abel might have someone long distance. It was a long shot, but not impossible. He listened as Abel teased again. "But of course. Who doesn't love sending off chain and ransom letters." he replied dryly. In the background there was some more noise as Abel walked around. He was curious to know where he was now but was sure that he would not give him an honest answer. He probably just went to the store for smokes or something like that.

Of course Abel was enjoying teasing Miguel. After all the male made it so easy. He listened as Miguel whined more only finding it more amusing. Abel laughed softly as he stood in the elevator, leaning against the wall. "But of course." He teased once more as the elevator door dinged.

Stepping out of the elevator, Abel started down the hall in search of Miguel's room. He continued to listen as Miguel spoke. Abel soon arrived at the door and knocked on it. He waited to see if Miguel would answer or ignore it.

Jakob knew Abel only teased him because he found it to be funny. He was a lot like Kieran in that sense. He whined a little more and was met with more laughing. Pouting more he mocked him in Portuguese. In the background he heard a distinct ding, similar to one he might hear in an elevator.

They chatted a little more before someone knocked on his door. He wasn't expecting any visitors and he doubted Kieran would be coming back. Picking up his phone, Jakob slipped off the bed, and crossed over to the door. Peaking through the peep hole, he was surprised to see Abel on the other side of the door. Flipping on a light, he unlocked the door and open the door.

Jakob was sure he looked like s**t. But he didn't care. It was too be expected honestly. Opening the door a little wider, he stepped around it and moved to wrap his arms around Abel's neck. Standing on tip toes, he hugged him as he felt another wave of emotion wash over him.

Standing there in front of the hotel door, Abel held onto his phone. He listened as Miguel whined. Abel knocked soon hearing movement on the other end. He knew Miguel was probably worried surprised to hear knocking on the door. Abel waited as Miguel soon turned the lights on opening the door. He hung up by now slipping the phone in his pocket.

Abel took in Miguel's disheveled look along with his tear stained face. He was surprised as Miguel moved closer throwing his arms around his neck and hugged him. Abel returned the hug pulling him closer by the waist. He didn't mind the sudden affection after all it was understandable seeing as Miguel was upset.

Of all the people to be standing behind his door Abel was probably one of the last that he expected to see. Listening to his problems over the phone was one thing. But coming all the way down here? It just didn't seem like something he would do. Standing between the door and the doorframe he watched as the man hung up and slipped his phone into his pocket. Throwing the door wider, Jakob stepped out into the hall to hug the man. Hugging him hadn't been planned nor was it something he often did with other people. Though it seem Abel minded too much. As they stood there, he felt his arms slip around his waist, pulling him closer as he hugged him back.

Sniffling, Jakob felt another wave of emotion wash over him. He blinked away tears, though a few still managed to escape and land on his cheeks.He held on to the man for about a minute before pulling back. He sniffled again and wiped at his eyes. "You didn't have to come all the way down here." he said softly. Even as he spoke, it felt like a lie. He'd rather Abel be here than have him half-listening over the phone. He may not say everything he wanted to hear, but at least his company was something of a comfort.

Hugging Miguel, Abel didn't mind. He could understand Miguel being surprised. After all, it wasn't much of his intention to drive over here. Abel though couldn't sleep now that he was awake. There was no use trying to sleep once he was awake.

He held onto Miguel until he pulled back. Abel released him watching as Miguel wiped a few stray tears away. He stepped back as he listened to Miguel speak. Abel shrugged his shoulders, "I was awake and it's kind of hard to go back to sleep." He spoke nonchalant as he stood there. "So are you going to invite me in or are we going to stand in the hallway all night?" Abel teased as he glanced behind Miguel into the room.

It was one thing to accidentally wake Abel up. But even in his wildest dreams did he think Abel would get out of bed just to meet him. All the same, he couldn't say that he didn't appreciate it. As they stood there hugging he felt both guilty and comforted as the man held on to him. He soon pulled away, wiping away a few tears. Jakob watched as Abel took a step back and shrug his shoulders. He nodded quietly as Abel explained about not being able to sleep.

Abel soon teased him again and Jakob managed a smirk in return. "Yeah, I guess you can...wouldn't want you to waste a tank of gas for nothing." he replied. Turning away from the man, he moved back into the room and held the door open for Abel. He waited for him to enter before closing the door behind him. "Make yourself at home." he said, brushing passed him. Turning on a lamp, Jakob pulled his coke out of the fridge. "Would you like something to drink?"

Abel wasn't bothered by the tank of gas. He shrugged as Miguel spoke as he invited him in. "I can always go back home." Abel teased not minding if he left if Miguel didn't want him here after all he didn't ask him to come, he just showed up. He continued into the room past Miguel. Abel moved to take off his shoes leaving them by the door. He continued to the bed as Miguel shut the door behind himself. Abel took a seat on the bed watching as Miguel went to the fridge to grab a drink. He sat down leaning against the headboard. "Sure do you have water?" Abel asked not in the mood for soda or anything harder.

Yes he was surprised by Abel's sudden appearance, but he certainly wasn't going to send him away. At the moment he didn't want to be alone. Even though he and Abel weren't on the most friendly of terms, he could at the very least keep him company. Jakob soon invited Abel into his room and closed the door behind them. After locking up, he moved towards the fridge and took out his drink. He then offered something for Abel as well.

Since Kieran left in such a hurry there were plenty of snacks. Upset as he was he doubted he would eat much of it. It was better to have someone else around to help him finish it. Pulling one of the bottles of water out of the fridge he moved towards Abel to hand it to him. Jakob then moved around the bed and sat down beside him. He cracked open his soda to take a few sips. Sighing softly he replaced his top and set the bottle against his leg.
