She smiled softly when he rejected the handkerchief, telling her to keep it. It had been a very long time since anyone had made a gesture like that, and she felt a little flutter in her stomach, "Thank you...yet again," she looked up at him with the utmost sincerity in her eyes, lifting one hand to gently touch his, the one that was giving her arm a little squeeze.
She looked down at herself and realized she didn't have any pockets to stow the kerchief in, and she chewed her lip a little in thought. She stroked along her silken wrap, trying to figure out what to do, when her fingertips grazed the ornate, jeweled pin at her hip. She made a little 'aha' and held her wrap together as she unfastened the pin, attaching the folded kerchief at one corner, so when it hung it was a little diamond of fabric. She pinned the whole thing back together and smiled, satisfied with the results.
"First mate? Surely if you are a pirate, then I am the captured Lady, taken for ransom~" she teased, a little demure smile on her lips as she nudged him back.
Luci took her cone from the attendant just as Mishka and Liv walked up; he had of course given her the biggest scoop, just as she asked, and her eyes were wide with wonder. She suddenly realized maybe she had bitten off more than she could chew, but she would never admit that. She was determined to eat the entire thing, even if it made her sick, and she started licking away immediately, "Mm.....every flavor! Except birdseed." she shouted with her face covered in ice cream, giggling.
"Even the pumpkin?" Liv raised her eyebrow at the girl and took some napkins from the attendant graciously, knowing Luci would certainly need them.
"Noommnn....not the pumpkin," she shook her head and swallowed, "But they have your favorite! Mint chocolate chip! And Strawberry, Banana, Butter Pecan, Sherbet, Rum and Raisin, Vanilla..." she kept listing as she ate.
The attendant was still laughing at Luci's enthusiasm as he turned to Liv and Mishka, "Haha...what can I get for you?"

At the sound of opening doors Lavi felt his heart momentarily stop, and not in a good way from his current intimacy with Sil. His eye flew open in shock and he pulled away as quickly from Sil as she did from him, but the table behind him was in the way and he bumped against it quite hard, cursing at the impact. When he finally got a good look at their interrupter, his heart sank and he kicked himself mentally for not being more vigilant. If it had been one of the hotel staff members, it wouldn't have been such a huge problem, but the young man who had walked in on them was the last person Lavi wanted to see right then. For a moment his mind was completely blank as he tried to come up with a plausible reason as to why his lips had been on hers without it being the obvious, and the truth. He felt Sil's eyes on him after her failed attempt, obviously expecting him to come up with something, and he was trying desperately to deliver.
He spurred himself into action, the first logical thing to do he could think of was to brush past Kyle to stand with his back firmly pressed against the door, ensuring he couldn't escape the room immediately and start spreading rumors around. The sparkling lights of the bottles displayed behind the bar caught his eye and he just went with the first thing that popped into his mind then, staying quiet for too long would be suspicious too. "Well, that's the last time I go raiding a hotel bar in the middle of the day, crazy stuff happens." He stretched the 'a' in 'crazy' and faked a giddy laugh, pretending to be drunk, swaying a little against the door. "I really can't be trusted with alcohol." Not one of his best deceptions, he had to admit, but there was only so much you could say to pretend you weren't kissing a girl because you were deeply in love with her. He didn't have much confidence in Kyle's cognitive powers anyway.

And here the post... long, post is long @_@ This is why I really need to be careful when I get carried away... hehe...))
Star’s sight was glazed, clouded as though watching everything from deep under water, the images moving as though they were independent of anything, no more than blobs of dancing color, her mind feeling as though it were covered by a thick sheet of cotton, leaving her feeling aware yet disjointed, as though her body had been taken over by another, her consciousness slowly becoming mixed and mingled with another making her feelings mix with another, and she felt a spark of feeling rush back to her, her heart suddenly racing as the cotton veil lifted, her breath quickening as she was suddenly overwhelmed.
Denial, heartache, sorrow, it all crashed down on her in a crushing wave, making her eyes sting with unshed tears as she tried to force it to the back of her mind, blurs of orange and yellow, dancing around her, blurring by in writhing masses as she felt her boots crash down on hard packed earth and dried foliage, and everything seemed to meld together, emotions and feelings and images and sounds, all of it becoming no more than one huge mass of confusion.
Anger, hate, frustration, it all flowed through her veins like ice and fire, leaving her unable to tell which was the one that scorched her skin and left it burning, the rapid pounding of her frantic heart sounding like the roar of a pyre ringing in her ears.
Dread, fear, panic, it all seemed to condense, to gather and twine, becoming a block that encased her chest, making it near impossible to drag air into her screaming lungs, each beat of her frantically racing heart sending a fresh wave of determination through her veins as the scenery continued to rush by in a disjointed blur that did no more than make her panic rise, and her confusion grow, and she clung to the feel of burning metal in her right hand, the familiar feel of her staff the only thing that made sense in this reality, even if the weight and balance of the silver blade seemed off
Her determination flared-why? She didn’t understand, couldn’t think about it enough to even TRY to understand, her mind unable to grasp onto anything with the way it blurred by and the foreign consciousness that seemed to mix with her own. The scenery spun suddenly, lurching, and picking up speed as a writhing mass of distorted black appeared at her side, rushing towards a gray mass -
Star bolted upright in bed, breathing heavily with one hand over her racing heart, pale locks falling loose around this shoulders, sticking to pale skin where cold sweat had dewed, and hanging in wide golden eyes that were bright with panic, and she barely registered the dull throb in the back of her head through the fear that was making her heartbeat pound in her ears like a crashing waterfall.
She looked around carefully, trying to push back the confusion and fear as she took in her surroundings, the pale walls, the open balcony doors and the sheer white curtains that swayed softly in the early morning breeze. She swallowed thickly, eyes still wide and heart still racing as she slowly pushed the blankets from over her and slid out of bed and approached the doors, stepping out onto the balcony in no more than her sweats and a pale white tank top, shivering slightly at the feel of the warm air on her damp skin, and closing her eyes, just letting it writhe around her in hopes that it would soothe her frayed nerves.
It wasn’t working.
The confusion was still prominent, too prominent to be shrugged off, and she could still feel her heart beating unsteadily within her chest, and it just didn’t make sense to her.
This was so different from the dreams she’d been plagued with since that night with Alexander, at least those were clear even if they did dredge up memories of the worst night of her life, at least she knew what they were.
She didn’t know how long had passed before she felt her heartbeat begin to even out and she finally opened her eyes again. She sighed heavily, turning a tired glare towards the horizon where the sun was slowly lighting up the sky with pre-dawn hues of pink and blue, before pushing away from the guard rail and going back in side.
Trying to sleep again seemed like a pointless effort at this point.
‘May as well get the day started then…’ she thought with a sigh.
It didn’t take her long to decide that staying her in a stuffy hotel room didn’t seem very appealing, and she quickly decided to just change and head to the beach, it having become a sort of haunting ground for her since the arrival. It wasn’t nearly as secluded as she’d of liked, but it was more appealing than anything else at this point.
