  " It is, and you treat these as more of a Dungeons and Dragons game than sex, but I know how much you want to do it, so I'll play along," Nikolai smiled. He risked a step closer to his husband and rubbed his arms. " If you cheer up I'll have the costumes at house by the time we're home."

Leon Court " You;re just saying that because you got eaten by an ogre during my last D&D tabletop session," he mumbled before Nikolai came closer. He was still upset, but Gramps definitely never got to do this with Nikolai. " Alright fine, but you need to come up with newer moves. I like the ear thing, but we can never do it again now that I know you did it to Grandpa."

  " Oh dearie, you underestimate me. I've had nearly a century to learn and create moves. I know things that would make even the Kamasutra blush~" Nikolai purred. He turned around and began walking. " What food should we get, dearie? Does your grandfather-dear still have teeth? Or should we be getting food from here?" He grimaced at the thought of tapioca pudding.

Leon Court " Okay, let's not talk about how old you are," he chuckled, then followed after him and tucked his hands into his pockets. " Gramps has fake teeth, but let's not get food from here. There's a little Italian place across the street that offers takeout."

 ~~~By the time the two had gotten back, Aysun was still on his grandpa's lap, looking at him with wide eyes. " Woooow," he uttered after hearing a cool story about his grandpa's army days. An idea suddenly brightened in the little boy's mind. " Ooh! Ooh! Tell me about my mommy and daddy, Grandpa!" he urged, wanting to know about his biological parents and maybe get a better idea of why they left him with Uncle Leon. Was it because they were too busy saving the world by being superheroes??
Leon Court The old man cleared his throat, thinking. He hadn't liked the majority of his grandkids, not even Leon until he was older, and definitely didn't like Aysun's parents. They were irresponsible and rude, and didn't care about anyone but themselves. But maybe, there was something he could say. Fortunately, he was saved by Leon coming in with food. " Who's hungry?" he asked with a grin.
  " We got Italian food," Nikolai explained as he set a bag on the table next to Theodore and Aysun. He looked at the old man. " If I recall, you enjoy Italian food, yes?" he grinned before picking Aysun up and setting him on his feet.
Leon Court Theodore sat still, confusion read on his face. " When did I say that?" he asked, scratching his chin. " I told him," said Leon after setting his own bag on the table and starting to take the containers out. " Aysun, we got you some spaghetti and meatballs."
  Aysun walked over to Leon, excited to get the spaghetti, though the candy made him less hungry than he thought. " Oh!" he paused when he thought of another idea for a story. " Grandpa! Tell me the story about how you met Grandma!" he practically shouted as he looked at the older Court. Well, the older looking one, at least.
Leon Court The man was silent for a minute, looking off towards a wall in thought. It had been quite some time since he'd told this story. Clearing his throat, he adjusted his seat, took the bowl from Leon, and nodded. " I was very young, barely even twenty, and had just gotten my heart broken and had been abandoned in Chicago. I knew no one and had nowhere to stay, at least nowhere that didn't remind me of the person I'd loved, and was wandering the streets after dark, when I saw her. She was radiant, as beautiful as the setting sun with the kindest eyes I'd ever seen. She spoke to me, asking if I had somewhere to stay, then offered me her spare room until I had enough money to finance my trip back home to Oklahoma." He paused, looking to Leon. He remembered it all like it was yesterday. It finally occurred to him that Leon really was his spitting image. " But she was in love with someone already. He lived with her, more or less, coming home every few days. I never saw him until that last day, the day he broke her heart. He left her and walked right out the door, and right into me as I was coming home from work. I saw him, and I knew exactly who he was. Nikolai Byko. I'll never that lazy smirk he gave me as he asked me to comfort him after breaking up with Amelia. I wanted to kill him. He'd hurt me before, yes, but hurting Amelia? That was unforgivable. I shook my head, telling him that he deserved to be alone forever, then walked past him and shut the door, walking right into Amelia's room and taking her in my arms. The next week, I proclaimed my love, and we traveled back to Oklahoma together and married, spending the next fifty-five years together, until she died some years ago. She was the great love of my life." He trailed off, looking towards a picture he'd set up of his late wife and himself on their wedding day. Leon took Nikolai's hand, winking at him before speaking. " Beautiful story, Grandpa. I remember how much Grandma loved you."
  " My, this Nikolai fellow sounds quite heartless," scoffed the very same Nikolai. " I can't imagine doing that to anyone. Isn't that right, darling?" he asked Leon while giving him a wink back. Aysun stopped in mid-bite as he caught the name. Nikolai...? He looked at Uncle Nikki. He had begun to realize that he didn't know his old last name. But... Aysun scratched his head in confusion. He was too young to fully connect the dots.
Leon Court " I wouldn't say heartless. He was young and disconnected from affection. I imagine he got his heart broken a very long time ago and simply forgot how to open it back up." He gestured to the wedding photo, pointing towards the corner were a head with silver curls could be seen turning away. " We invited him to the wedding as a way to show there were no hard feelings. I hope that, by the time he died, he was able to experience true love." Leon smiled softly, sitting on the short stool beside his grandfather and taking his hand. " One day, Grandpa, if you want, I can look him up and see what happened to him." The man patted Leon's hand with his free one, looking at his grandson and shaking his head. " Oh, I don't want to know, Leon. Whatever happened, I'm certain he died happy. He wasn't the kind to let his pain get the best of him."
  " My, now you're making him sound oh-so dreamy. Please do go on~" Nikolai sighed while covering his blushing cheeks. " Was he your bestest friend, Grandpa? What was he like?" Aysun asked, wanting to know what everyone was talking about so weirdly.
Leon Court He thought for a minute. " Well, he was a little annoying. He was lazy and preferred to sit around at home, doing nothing. I was quite the outdoors-man back then, so it was hard to just stay inside all the time. He was cruel, incredibly so. He lied, cheated, and honestly, I'm surprised I never killed him." He chuckled, shaking his head. " But underneath the irritating cover, he was just a lost kid. I wanted to protect him." Leon glanced to Nikolai. He knew well enough that Nikolai, although sometimes annoying, was a genuinely good person with occasionally crooked ideals.
  " Ooh! Ooh! What was Uncle Leon like, Grandpa?" Aysun asked while pointing at Leon. He loved hearing all these stories. He wanted to visit again real soon! " Oh yes, tell me as well, darling," Nikolai grinned fiendishly. He would revel at the idea of knowing what his darling husband was like as a toddler.
